? If you think the product is defective return it and get another one.
I don’t know and it is already a replacement !
Return it and get another one, even if it is a replacement. It is your right to have a fully functional product.
Sorry my initial text has disappeared :
\- My first X15U has issue on 5G so I get a replacement yesterday but
\- The box was deformed during shipping
\- There is a small defect on the black area above the main lens, it is like a small white shiny point, not dust or dirt. I can’t remove it. I think it doesn’t affect the lens but what do you think about that ?
Thanks
If there are no issues with the images, you can look past that dot
Do you think it can affect the image ?
It seems to be a piece of dust laminated inside the camera housing, but it looks to be outside the lens itself, so it shouldn’t affect photos. But getting (another) replacement while you can is probably the way to go.
I agree
Yes I think so. Laminated inside. But i’m afraid to get other issues if I change the phone again. I have sent photos to Xiaomi. During the delay, I will test the phone.
You’re right that there is a risk of getting one with a larger problem.
Yes my previous lost 5g after 7 days. Datas mobiles stop to work…
If you have to ask if it can affect the image, then it most certainly does not.
Doesn’t look as if it’s going to create any problem in images. Already others have said in this post so rest assured phone should be ok.
That’s why do not invest that much money on a smartphone just buy a iQOO 13 and buy a dslr
You can’t use a camera anywhere. A lot of the places don’t allow it also it isn’t with you all the time
You can get a part of money back depending on defect in Turkey instead of going for full return. If possible I’d do it if I were u
It’s impossible for it to affect the image as the defect is not on the transparent part of the glass that actually lets light in.
The product is fully functional. The issue is 100% cosmetic.
That’s the smallest dot ever. If everything else works fine, I would probably just deal with it. At least you don’t have some small scratches like mine, that huge camera lens is tough to take care of.
This is literally a non-issue.
Go use and enjoy your phone mate!
Send it back. That is way too expensive to accept any damage right out of the box. Just saying
Can you notice anything wrong? If not then either it doesn’t affect anything or the effect is too small to notice, and in either case it’s a non issue.
I have another issue that wasn’t present on the previous unit : the phone makes noise when I tilt it. The previous was silent. I know the stabilization system can make a sound when Off but here it is a big sound.
Replace the replacement
That lens dust even other brands have it
Yes i know. But i have just tested the video recording and get this issue : a background noise in all video, and when 4.3x ON the ois rattles again…
That point is nothing! Enjoy the device
There is another issue : weird background noise in video recording as my faulty X14U has in 2024. The OIS must be damaged during shipping ! I hope to get a replacement again… A nightmare Xiaomi !🤪
Ask them to get the old one back first, if they can’t do it and ask them to send another new one for replacement.
That’s the telephoto lens not main
I’ve owned my Xiaomi 15 Ultra since March, but last week, I noticed an issue similar to the one described by the original poster. Strangely, my phone has a plastic cover around the edges of each lens and sensor, so I’m unsure how the spots appeared.
When I visited the Xiaomi service center, the staff confirmed that the issue wasn’t caused by internal dust but was instead cosmetic damage. They offered to replace the entire lens cover for around US$65, but I declined. I didn’t want to risk potential damage to other components during the disassembly process.
point and shoot cameras are allowed everywhere, its the mirrorless with big 20cm lenses that are problem
Now i want a replacement as the old has 5g defective and this one has micro noise in video…
Return it. It’s a $1000+ flagship and the admission price alone warrants a near-flawless experience.
Ok i hope to get a replacement without problem… Please look at this short video to hear the noise.

If you’re in the EU, warranty should cover it.
I’m in france, i know that with Samsung I have had many replacement last years but with Xiaomi I hope too.
I have contacted Xiaomi, they should study my case…. I ask for a replacement but they want to study my case for an unknown delay… Very annoyed !
Are we serious? People are dying on the other side of the world from hunger death burning, you name it. And you’re out here worried if a subatomically sized quark will affect your footage with this subatomically sized quark.
I don’t …. Like how come are you worried about that when:
A) you got other cameras
B) it’s fucking small
C) not caused by physical movement damage, and
D) HOW ARE YOU WORRIED ABOUT THAT WHEN THE ENTIRE PHONE IS THAT FUCKING DIRTY?
Man there are other defects on the phone as I said. Please read all posts not the first. we aren’t worried, just pay a flagship and we want a real flagship. Byr
If you are using a phone to get these pictures, then that’s probably a better phone to own
Even if it is a fully functional device but it is cosmetic it should definitely be returned for a perfect one as it is a very expensive device.
For what it cost I would get it replaced and expect perfect device on arrival.
Exactly!
Get it replaced man! Too expensive to play around and take any chances.
What do you mean go for partial money back? Are you recommending OP that is better to get only some part of his money back instead of replacing??? I am so confused…
Not for that money… That is a 1500usd+ device…
It’s not even in front of the lens! It will effect literally nothing!
It doesn’t matter, fact is a fact if you pay a lot of money for a device and ignore defects then you let companys Quality Control issues slide…
Dude it’s a microscopic spec. This is anal and a waste.
Man I hate this planet
No worries- you will understand when you will get your first hard earned money paycheck.
Dust seems like out of frame and will not affecting photos, if money-back deal was fair I’d be lazy and probably go for it
Lmao bro I’m pushing 40 and make enough to live comfortably.
A 0.4mm spec under the glass on an area that is ~not~ in front of the cameras lens and sensor is the epitome of a non issue.
They have refused to replace it !!!
It’s a joke this company ! The phone has factory defects: microphone background noise and dust inside glass.
