True but I like how it forces all icons to have a transparent squircle shape. So even unsupported icons fit in fine
It’s also packed with Samsung and you don’t even know it. My mothers Redmi 9a is displaying the samsung boot screen right after “redmi” goes away. She contacted samsung with the proof and they said they will be in touch with Xioami or however it’s spelt. Don’t expect them to last very long when they are literally plagiarising samsung.

is there a way to fix the bug in full screen gestures while using a custom launcher? I want to use a custom launcher but when I installed one, my gestures were broken. I love changing between apps with only one slide. installing a launcher breaks that
Anyway, this combination of icon and launcher is cool!
without any permission it can see what application you have installed and when and for how long you are using a app. your launcher is probably connected to a Microsoft account ? or connected to your windows pc which is connected to a account ? if you don’t use the launcher to share things between your phone and windows I don’t see any reason to use it personally.
so now I have installed and launcher the launcher, it’s even worse than I thought.
when you launch the app it literally ask you for your location, acess to ALL your files and to connect to a Microsoft account. yes you can deny thoses, but they try to. their intention is to track you. even without those permission it can track you a lot from everything you do with your launcher as I said on the first paragraph.
I briefly passed through the privacy policy and they literally say they collect how you Interact with the product. with this simple sentence they have the right to collect everything you do with the launcher, so launching app, for how many times etc
**obviously it’s just my personal opinion, use whatever you want**
edit : also, it doesn’t ask you directly, but if you go on the app page in your settings, and in permission you can see that the launcher asked everything, contacts, microphone, camera, calendar, and the others things I already mentioned like your location and all the files in the phone.

Is there a black bar when the phone is on its side? Also how are the gestures for you? They very stripped down and less functional for me.
but sadly microg don’t work with some apps that I use like Snapchat or banking AFAIK

Unrelated question – Have you ran any “Xiaomi Debloater” or can recommend one? My wife has a Redmi Note 8 and MIUI is completely garbage, not to mention the insane quantity of useless apps that come already installed with the phone.

How do you play hl2 on mobile? I know the og hl can be played but I’ve never seen anyone playing hl2 on a mobile device other then a Nvidia shield
I love MS Launcher for ages now… The Backup Feature is so nice and it is real free
I don’t trust Google more than Microsoft. that’s why I’m avoiding Google as much as I can, on my phone by using a custom ROM with magisk and openGapps

personally I’ll never use any proprietary launcher, and even more from Microsoft. using lawnchair but there is plenty of open source ones. using custom ROM too

how do you know they don’t collect anything from the launcher ? I’ve never used it so I don’t know if I’m missing something. if it’s proprietary they can do whatever they want without you knowing, maybe they say they don’t collect it, but written in little and not clearly in the EULA of the app they can do whatever. if Microsoft love open source so much they could have also make it open if there was nothing to hide.
for the record I’m on Linux everywhere, I use windows only to game
