is there a way to fix the bug in full screen gestures while using a custom launcher? I want to use a custom launcher but when I installed one, my gestures were broken. I love changing between apps with only one slide. installing a launcher breaks that

how do you know they don’t collect anything from the launcher ? I’ve never used it so I don’t know if I’m missing something. if it’s proprietary they can do whatever they want without you knowing, maybe they say they don’t collect it, but written in little and not clearly in the EULA of the app they can do whatever. if Microsoft love open source so much they could have also make it open if there was nothing to hide.

for the record I’m on Linux everywhere, I use windows only to game

without any permission it can see what application you have installed and when and for how long you are using a app. your launcher is probably connected to a Microsoft account ? or connected to your windows pc which is connected to a account ? if you don’t use the launcher to share things between your phone and windows I don’t see any reason to use it personally.

so now I have installed and launcher the launcher, it’s even worse than I thought.

when you launch the app it literally ask you for your location, acess to ALL your files and to connect to a Microsoft account. yes you can deny thoses, but they try to. their intention is to track you. even without those permission it can track you a lot from everything you do with your launcher as I said on the first paragraph.

I briefly passed through the privacy policy and they literally say they collect how you Interact with the product. with this simple sentence they have the right to collect everything you do with the launcher, so launching app, for how many times etc

**obviously it’s just my personal opinion, use whatever you want**

edit : also, it doesn’t ask you directly, but if you go on the app page in your settings, and in permission you can see that the launcher asked everything, contacts, microphone, camera, calendar, and the others things I already mentioned like your location and all the files in the phone.

It’s also packed with Samsung and you don’t even know it. My mothers Redmi 9a is displaying the samsung boot screen right after “redmi” goes away. She contacted samsung with the proof and they said they will be in touch with Xioami or however it’s spelt. Don’t expect them to last very long when they are literally plagiarising samsung.

Do you have idea which one is better? In the preview of the apps, they look the same though.
