You over thinking about it lol
Does this include redmi note 3? And can you please confirm if it’s free and available at all mi experience stores.
Indeed they are, however they come with Chinese version of Win 10. My coworker ordered one and it was fun watching him use google translate app on his phone trying to find Canada in the country list. Finally after an hour I told him that he will have to reinstall windows lol.
Same here! Of course, the laser tech is the same. Given software models and an engraving machine you could do this at home.
Is this available in China as well?
Can confirm, have LG G6 with headphone jack and I use it everyday
I mean, this is much cooler I guess, but it kinda reminds me of when you could order a Moto X with your name/initials on it.
Someone is salty
The primary cost of using a case is not aesthetic, it is completely functional. Adding the padding of most cases increases the volume of the phone by almost 100% in most cases, greatly hindering ergonomics. For something that is held a great amount of time, that is a pretty significant loss.
This reminds me of the “strange parts” YouTube videos where he engraves his iPhone !
Top 4 favorite YouTubers that’s for sure 🙂 keep up the good work.
eh nobody made the phone thinner after removing the jack. there were a lot of poor excuses but that wasn’t one of them. Hell, they’re making phones thicker now, the thinness race is over.
Ah! Nice. Thanks
Looking for a Xiaomi Experience Store to show up in Canada
How many Xiaomi Experience Stores are there out of interest ?
still waiting for the lomdon one to actually exist
India only?
Well, I humbly disagree. Thin and slippery phone always makes me fear that I’ll drop it now. Solid silicone brick is much harder to accidentally drop.
It seems i got the parent comment confused, sorry!
I’m a bot, *bleep*, *bloop*. Someone has linked to this thread from another place on reddit:

What, really?
It’s awesome to see you here ! Thanks for all the great content, your channel is a gem.
That’s actually really cool.
If they ever do come, it’ll probably be in Toronto or Vancouver first
The headphone jack isn’t coming back though
Yep. It’s a metal unibody so it would work
If anything they should have the store in richmond. Bring all their xiaomi stuff over. I personally wouldn’t mind a laptop from them as they look really well built.
I think it’s highly unlikely I have that kind of influence:) People have been laser engraving phones and laptops for years and years now. It’s still pretty cool though:)
Fucking finally.
Will they do it for products we already own? Or is it only for recently purchased ones?
Thankfully living in Toronto atm!
And yasss, Mi Max 2 \<3
Phones are not manufactured under the assumption that they will never be dropped either.
sooooo mia1?
Depends on which phone you buy 😉
I have a Mi A1 with a headphone jack, and as soon as I can afford a flagship I’ll buy an OnePlus 6, which also has a jack
No. THAT’S just dumb. Do you want to drive a car that was manufactured under the assumption that it will never ever crash? I know I sure don’t.
Ok thanks 🙂
Xiaomi store in Taipei have been providing this service for years (but only limited to power bank)
Yep. Exactly the point.
I don’t understand people’s obsession with phone design.
First, you are going to look at the phone from the screen side anyways, so it doesn’t matter what’s on the back.
Second, many put phones into cases, so it’s doubles the meaninglessness of “aesthetic” design.
Phones should be designed to be pleasant to the user, i.e. good in hand, long-lasting, and functional.
Keep up the great work. Always love your positivity.
