I mean, yeah, I have it was super easy because itunes made it super easy.
And no, that’s not the only reason people buy iPhones. You know what I can’t do with my Xiaomi in the United States? I can’t walk into a Best Buy and pick up a new case on a whim. Screen replacement takes forever because the local shops have to order the glass from China, it’s more expensive because they don’t order them in bulk, and it’s a crapshoot whether or not the tech will fuck something up due to unfamiliarity with the hardware (as one did with my OnePlus).
Now, we can debate whether those things are a plus in iPhone’s column because they are popular/fashionable, or whether they have become popular/fashionable because of their retail ubiquity (I suspect it’s a bit of both). But, there is a value in being able to readily buy accessories and there’s a value in having access to quality repair service, just as there’s value in having a streamlined user experience via iTunes.
To claim otherwise is ignorant.
In my opinion OLED on a budget is a no-go. 200 bucks Samsung a40 screen replacement is almost 100 bucks. And the budget phones with OLED usually have one that is low quality, easily gets burned in, also I don’t think any of the Samsung ones don’t even have an always-on display.
It’s quite a bit lighter, which helps
I bought the 10t pro 1 month after launch and paid $400… Hardly expensive in comparison regarding spec to the competition
Didn’t iphone 10 have retina? Edit: stupid apple names. Super retina is oled. Retina is lcd.
mini Led is coming and I haven’t seen a big company do it so what are you talking about?
Around $600
I would love to see oled displays on some of their budget phones.
That wasn’t really budget when it came out
Maybe mi 12 comes with a flat oled. Samsung s21 already moves in that direction, hope others will follow.
Well the iPad Pros Promotion Display is 120Hz lol
Great screen? Nah. Just better ips. 2 000 000 : 1 contrast ratio is normal at amoled screen. Gpu and cpu, yes, its on samsung s20 level. I think gpu is less powerful. Just system is very good optimalised.
its really hard to understate how appealing it is to have a phone that just natively works with iTunes. You don’t need a “sketchy” third party app, you don’t need to navigate your file system, you just plug in your phone and boom, all your music, podcasts, photos, etc are backed up / transfered over and you don’t have to do anything extra.
Are there ways to do that on Android? Absolutely. Is iTunes a perfect piece of software? Absolutely not. But if you don’t see yourself as “tech saavy” or a “computer person”, that streamlined experience is very attractive.
Does it come with MEMC?
Oh ok
On the other side.. it never lags (maybe after 5 years) and has very good communication with other apple devices. But connecting apple with windows is extreme pain. Plus they have more formats just for photos
I live how some of their phones (black shark 3 pro in this case) have over 7″ display like who tf needs a 7.1″ super amoled display
They still have great phones at that price point. Keep in mind that this phone will have the same specs as the flagships of next year which will cost more than 1000$.
Sorry but do you mind share where you got it?? Thanks
Got it thanks!!
Yes I know but why mention apple here?
I wanna wait until the release of S21 and compare which one to get
yep, my friend just got an S20 ultra. It’s like carrying around one of those red bricks you use for the fireplace. Just looks ridiculous.
Around 160 x 75mm is the perfect size for me for a phone. Even if I put it in a thicker case.
I can still manage it with one hand and I like having a slightly bigger screen around 6″
Top of the line CPU and gpu? Great (Samsung or whatever ) screen? Top quality video recording and great photos ? Nah?
Yeah, the phone wont get bigger, but so doesn’t my thumb. The bigger the screen the more difficult it gets to reach the notification bar or the “post” button of the reddit app. Just sayin.
Ugh, no thanks, I don’t want an even taller screen with a punchhole, still not a fan of curved either…
The Poco F2 Pro is honestly perfect for me,
I hope they keep releasing flat display phones with pop up cameras, or bring somithing smaller (competing with iPhone Mini / Pixel / S20) for a change.
The other 1000 is software and branding, lots of people evidently do
And again a screen that is getting bigger. Ffs my hands don’t grow anymore and my Mi8 is kinda more than I can handle (lol). They need a fkin mini version with 6inch or slightly below. Otherwise I’m going to get a Pixel phone, those are at least at 6 inch or below.
This race for bigger screens will end with damn 10inch 4k screen phones or worse.
Okay, not everything. Something they did right. *Something*
Not three years, much much longer. My Sammy Galaxy s1 used AMOLED way before other manufacturers even though about it and this was like 2010?
But the burn-in problem continued up to the s5 or s6 afaik.
Right now my 2yo Mi8 still doesn’t have any signs of burn-in. Love to phone and gonna use it till I really have to switch bc of defects or software incompatibilities.
Looks pretty damn good. Compare that sleek looking camera module with the abomination that is the S21 series.
It doesn’t help your case, the pixel is coming with an sd765 while the mi 11 has the latest sd888.
For comparison, the pixel 5 which costs 699$ has the same specs (if not worse) as the mi 10 lite which costs under 400$.
So you’re saying that IPhone OS is easier than Android? Have you ever tried a customized ringtone on IPhone? You need to basically read a guide in order to be able to use a personal file as a ringtone, everything is working smoothly? Yeah, if you are a very basic user, and of you are, you can’t notice the difference with the Android user experience. As a matter of fact the only thing people buys iPhone for is because it has been made a status symbol a fashionable ‘item’. In some years they are gonna produce a brand specific for poop, and people is gonna start buy that too and then claim it’s better than the normal poop…
Well the mi 10t pro in the UK launched for £550. I picked one up after a month for £345. That’s $400!!
But you’re not getting the same specs. SD765 vs SD888 for the same price. Also, the poco f2 pro is better than the pixel except for the screen and the camera quality and it costs way less than the pixel.
Mi 9 SE was a good size
We just had the first Xiaomi store open in the city close to me, and I think it’s only second in the country. Can’t wait to check it out once it arrives.
Iphone 12 mini
Eeerm, you know they still sell cheap phones right? Like ton of em (Poco X3 and mi10T are killing it). Even this are probably lower price than competitor.
I get what you’re saying but what does it have to do with the new phone?
Yeah, Google Play music was amazing for backing up your local library, but they killed it ffs
costs?
Screen gets bigger but the phone doest. It is still under 165mm long/75mm wide
If it wasn’t an overpriced apple product I’d went for it.
Hell yeah
Apple has different constraints to many, new technologies are often times quantity limited with only very few factories(sometimes even just one) producing the hardware.
Apple cannot sell phones with limited quantity hardware they’d eat up the entire marketshare and then some.
€1000 is cheap for some and a price they are happy to pay for how much they use their phone.
I bought a Poco X3 and immensely happy with it for €200 and can’t imagine spending €1500 myself however I can see why some do.
Yeah. Now i have redmi note 8t woth miui12 and sometimes.. yeah I wanna throw it out of the window. I hate this piece of shit. Everyone hated lenovo. But I had one which I had from my dad. Lenovo K6. Dad had it 2 years. Never had problem. It was indestructible. Seriously. Metal back (real metal, no colored plastic), and I had screen protector. Dropped it 5 times on concrete pavement, punched it few times cuz I was angry at games. That phone was running. Bent screen, frame, broken screen corner (just single small crack) and that motherfucker was still working like nothing happened. Last thing happened to him was taking a bath in pool. Most funny is I was there with phone in my pocket for an hour. It turned on. Just then it probably shorted battery. Now I wish I got my lenovo back. Cuz probably just battery was dead. Like on 0V. Just wanted serious kickstart and maybe system flash and it will run till now and few more years. EDIT: that phone was cheap “shit” costed maybe 150€. Had 1080p 60hz screen. One of the most powerful socs. 2GB ram. Android 7.0. perfect budget smartphone for these days.
GPU on par with the exynis one? What? It literally destroys it ( and the adreno too for that)
For the screen I was referring to the amoled panels they have been using since the iPhone X
It’s honestly baffling how people don’t get it and bring this point back over and over again.
It’s like people expect Xiaomi for some reason not to compete with other flagships phones and only create phones for 350 dollars max.
I’d argue the screen is better as is uninterrupted, bigger and I don’t care at all about refresh rate. Its a gimmick unless you game, which I don’t.
Bigger battery as well. And headphone jack. And more diverse camera setup. IR blaster. More RAM. Faster charging. Half the price.
My last expensive phone was a Nexus 6P. My Redmi Note 8 Pro does a fine job. For $187 USD…a fine job.
Like you gonna go to a championship with this big ass phone and take the first place in csgo, lol or dota? It’s just useless marketing. Or are you gonna aim for the big prize at pubg mobile?
And their new headphones, 😂😂😂👏
Coming from a family of DJs, we just piss ourselves laughing.
It actually is “MoST adVaNCed” 120hZ display
That’s probably the old iPad Pro. The 2020 model has the A12Z. And I don’t know why they didn’t use it on the iPhone
But still. Who tf buys it? 500€ phone hardware for 1500€? What a scam (yeah I know they have good socs and much better OS. But still. It’s expensive af. Too expensive for smart people)
Totally! Unfortunately they downgraded the hardware, what a shame. Once, sony was the king of compact smartphones at high-end level (well, in regard to the chipset)
Yes. I mean the refresh rate. It’s 120Hz on the iPad Pro
Mi 9T would like to have a word with you
apple is a scam, don’t get fooled
I saw that 120Hz oled display in title and remmembered apple isn’t able to make 120hz display.. not even 120hz oled
only huawei, not china
Yeah, I think so too, since they running their marketing to a certain grade like apple as a role model.
Lol still half the price of an S21! That makes it cheap!
True that, but nowadays at that price there is nothing comparable with amoled imo
Yeah only thing why would I get apple is their OS
Sorry but I don’t see how this would help my thumb reach the upper right corner of the screen (as a leftie) in a single-handed user scenario.
I didn’t downvote you at all. Why do you I think that it was me? Especially since I share your opinion
Like what realme did!
My colleague had RN7 like me, but he dropped it and the phone died on him so he got RN8pro. Seems a little faster but not enough to get me to upgrade. And RN7 supporting Google camera is way more worth it.
Still would recommend 8 because 7 is getting old now.
Got it from eBay! Seller was mm-telecom-uk. Chinese seller with a UK warehouse. Got it on 3 days. European charger in the box but came with a UK charger in the bag
And apple still can’t make modern smartphone with new technologies. Uses old cheap tech and does like “hEY wE JuSt INvEntEd oLEd pAnELs” while android uses it for.. 3 years?
Funny how outdated Apple is, they still haunted people who didn’t even buy their products.
I like the bigger phones.
These giant things are getting insane lol. If I want to carry a weapon around, I’m gonna get the s21 ultra plus extra whatever. Can be brought to any place and hits like a brick in the face.
Why the fuck they didn’t use it on iphone 12? Edit: wait 2020 pro modrl has A10X fusion soc? Don’t they have A14? Why do they use 3,5 years old soc in their newest product
