This was on mi-globe 9.2.28. As I said I haven’t messed with timers before, but iirc I did this prior to rooting, so I would have been on the most recent global stable.
I haven’t used timers, so can’t confirm if they are actually working. But I can set them…

Edit. Can confirm they function correctly.
Yeah, that works fine by me.
I mean, pixel experience is like AOSP with some nice improvements, and Google cam by default.
Nothing like AOSP. I’ve lived with Oxygen OS last couple years and is not bad at all. I can live with it. But MIUI? Wtf. I’m not able to see a single good thing on it. :S
Camera2api is a setting that let’s you install Google Cam. Xiaomi for some reason blocked this setting in MIUI 10 for the Redmi Note 4 making a good ammount of people to flash another ROM in order to keep using the gcam.
Same boat. Tried the pixel experience rom, and I consider it a big improvement, with pretty much no downsides (however, I’m using a Pocophone, which roms might be more stable and polished the ones from the Mi9 at this point)
You mean tons of useless features while having no notifications on your bar, right? Yeah me too.
Totally reasonable in 2019. Why set a default setting? Why would you want your lock screen useful!?
So much this. No notifications because of notch is madness.
Got Mi9 2 days ago. Willing to give a chance to MIUI after the huge disappointment I had with Mi5. 2 days later I’m thinking to sell or AOSP ROMs. Just like I did with Mi5. How is people willing to deal with this crap interface?
What does camera2api mean?
r/engrish
But does the background change in the lockscreen?
How about the Mi Mix 2 will finally get Android Pie?
Interesting, I might have to do that as well. So you’re on 9.3.1 (MIUI10) from [here](http://en.miui.com/download-346.html) then?
I would want them to add a DeX like feature to MIUI. Personally I would use that function a lot. Even imagine Linux, the possibilities are endless, a boy can only dream….
I’m using [10.2.2.0](https://i.imgur.com/jzan5jz.png) — unfortunately, Xiaomi has become very slow regarding the updates, meanwhile MIUI is already three months behind with the monthly Android security patches. 🙁
Yes, for me both Spotify and a podcast app show their sound notification on the lockscreen.
How about music players? Can still be set manually to see in the lock screen?
I’ve been using this [app](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=zanini.andrea.notchtest) that I came across on xda for persistent notification icons under the clock.
It’s working great for me.
Oh, I never noticed that they disappear after some time. But they also reappear when I unlock my phone.
Half of these features not going to implement on current models 😂😂😂😂 enjoy

when will be available?
thx
I have it since 2-3 months on Mi8
+ more data collection everywhere! But we ain’t gonna tell you that!
Kinda shame… This is way better to use on something like N5 Pro… And I don’t see that much upgrade… It’s almost the same with RM N6 and RM N7… Idk… The build quality is going all the way down… Again since Mi5.
New… Maybe flagships, not something like my current RM N5 Pro.
I even never had that on my Mi5…
Although it must be set manually, this can be set up for each app.
That’s nice and all, but when?
Still no pin app feature though, which is present on AOSP but for some reason is absent in MIUI.
No notification at all on lock screen. You need to unlock and swipe down to see a notification…
One should not be on the phone whilst on the wheels…
Works for me on the Mi 8, you only need the shortcut once (from there you can enable it within the wellbeing app). Haven’t tested timers, though, as I don’t use them anyway.
Advertisement everywhere!
I hope MIUI 11 will adapt its UI to big screens like OneUI did.
Too many buttons are still on the top of the screen which make using some phones with one hand impossible
I am very excited about Child Mode. Is it something like Guided Access in iOS?
*Ability to view the lock screen after unlocking without immediately entering to the Home page. -* Oh god yes. The IR face unlock on Poco F1 is amazingly fast and annoying at the same time. I love the raise to wake feature and would love to use face unlock with it but I don’t want the phone to bypass the lockscreen.
I’m currently using Redmi Note 5 Pro and my MIUI’s version says “MIUI Global 10.2 | 10.2.1.0(OEIMIXM). Will I get some of the features listed in the article when I update my phone?
What problem?
Imagine if it had said: camera2api enabled for all devices compatible with MIUI 10. Thank god dreaming is free.
They should change the way a call is answered, it is annoying swiping upwards to answer or reject a call specially when one is on the wheels
I can’t recall where I found it, but there was some simple hack (I think it was doable without root iirc) to enable it on mix 2s.

Wouldn’t want auto deletion of any apks after I’ve installed them. Hope this can be turned off. Bulk import of ringtones / alarms/ notification sounds. Full rotation support.
Which devices would get it?
Please fix notifications on status bar.
I want Dark Mode !
On AMOLED yes, the darker the pixel the less energy it needs, and since AMOLED can do that per pixel down to literally zero, it always has a lot of potential savings.
would the new customizable always on display features from the mi9 come to the mi8 in future updates, or is it just exclusive to the mi9?
Pkease!
Dark navbar?!
Updates cum faster in Xiaomi than Apple
This is why I love Xiaomi.
Dark mode everything!
Dark mode seems nice. Would like to try if it saves much battery on AMOLED displays?
