Really interesting
It looks like the back of that phone is 3d printed, Very early prototype?
The phrasing tho.
Out of 5000 engineers, one of them has to be good at something, right? Like throwing shit against the wall to see what sticks.
Most likely. Probably just focusing on the camera before caring about the aesthetics and all other stuff
Will we see a new Mi Store in London and in many other European Capitals then ?
Wow, I was just about to talk about this over multiple cameras!
This reads like a declaration of war
Reminds me of the good old galaxy s4 zoom
I hope at least some of those engineers will work on MIUI
First Europe, then the world!
Anyways, 2mp depth sensor will be added
Android started as camera software. Now it comes where it all started
That’s the idea.
Xiaomi: Hahaha, no.
And they still can’t release miui on all devices smh
Oh ok, basically a miniature version of the [Sony Cybershot DSC-P](https://duckduckgo.com/?q=Sony+Cybershot+DSC-P&t=h_&iax=images&ia=images) range of cameras. That’s not new, its just smaller. All this announcement will do will start the race for the other manufacturers to do the same.
What will 5,000 engineers do though? That number seems so high for a company that cannot deliver updates regularly.
I think they’d do better with less engineers and more infantry.
You are giving engineers way too much credit here.
this is a chinese company. they’re throwing *engineers* at the wall to see what sticks.
Engineers working on software? Sounds about right…
How would they even call that position? Something ridiculous like ‘software engineer’?
walked in to the Mi Store in rotterdam the other day, looked pretty cool. employees didn’t know too much though, they just got the basic talk about xiaomi. although it was the opening day so that might’ve played a part. they also weren’t able to sell electric scooters or show their downstairs room because of covid-19, I’ll definitely go by again sometime the stores open properly
Back to good ol’ war days.
Back to good ol’ war days.
I’ll rather xiaomi have a better software experience.
So.. Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom / Galaxy K Zoom? Its funny to see how samsung’s 2013 innovations was a laughing stock back then while its the direction where we are heading towards currently..
> samsung’s 2013 innovations was a laughing stock
There’s a good reason for that. S4 Zoom was a much worse phone compared to the s4 for a slightly better camera. It was camera with a phone inside. And the phone inside was really really bad.
Would love to see a S21 Ultra Zoom next year
X doubt
Not to mention the 2MP macro camera
tbh this looks like shit
