Will be interesting to see but looks like Xiaomi have decided Redmi devices should have micro USB simply out of principle.
Couldn’t agree more. Although the inclusion of a micro-usb port on the Redmi Note 5 is a bit annoying, its value for money is truly one of the best in its class. Besides, the USB-C “standard” is still a big mess – some manufacturers use “this”, others use “that”.
It will be tough to beat until the Redmi Note 6, lol. I wonder if the Redmi Note 6 will include USB c and a headphone jack?
Yeah I don’t think they’d use big bezels again with the next one
The one is the image is MI A1 i think
Yup, and a 660 for the expensive one.
Yea this seems more likely
Mmmh. Nah.
Yeah I’m not that impressed with the 6x. Obviously better SOC and superior cameras but so many things left out, no headphone jack, no SD expansion, smaller battery combined more power drain – why Xiaomi? Not to mention the *[massive](https://youtu.be/-nfhw_Neg5c?t=1m48s)* camera bump. You can’t conveniently use the phone laying flat on a table, it’ll rock back and forth on that camera bump.
So this is where the rest of the SD625 went. 🤣
On the supposed leaked specs, it having a 3000 battery just ruins the phone. It’s just so bad
I’m not shitting on them, I plain out think one of the two phones will have a 625, guessing the cheaper version
It won’t be over 300. The xiaomi mi 6x, that is just the China-only version of the mi A2, costs around 230 euros now. And selling it over 300 wouldn’t even make sense, because at that price everyone would get the mi8 se that’s just better in every aspect.
How easy is it to unlock the bootloader on the N5? I heard they were going to stop allowing that?
Have there been details/leaks on what the 2nd device will be?
Might replace my broken note 5 by this one
I don’t know
I was talking in reference to the notch, and the Snapdragon 625. Also the second rear camera being a low MP count.
The A2 won’t have a headphone jack, no sdcard expansion. You might want to look at the Redmi 6/pro as well.
The selling point of the A2 is that it is slimmer, lighter and has a camera with an even wider aperture compared to the Redmi Note 5 AI.
More like 660 and 625.
I think RN5 will be tough to beat for a very long time. It’s the perfect blend of performance, versatility and price.
They can’t issue it fast enough
in Instagram, they made several publications about MiA1
The one to use up all the SD625 still left in stock.. Jokes aside, I assume there will be a “plus” and a “lite” version
Does it have a headphone jack?
Its a nod to a threesome…
doesnt the volume get lower compare to miui on headphone jack?

I don’t think many people will be happy with what the leaks show about the lite version. Also, I have a question: Is the Mi A2 really a good upgrade from the A1? The A2 \*allegedly\* doesn’t have a headphone jack and has a bit of a smaller battery. The processor is a great upgrade, but I speculate the price is going to be higher than 300$ too. And don’t forget the amount of time it’ll take for it to arrive in my country (The Redmi Note 5 Pro just launched in our country, a few days ago) I am just about to buy the Mi A1 (maybe even today) so any help would be appreciated.
It doesn’t look like a 6x? Weard…. In a good way?
You’re probably right
I was torn between the rumored MI A2 and the Redmi Note 5, but if it’s true that the battery life took a hit and there’s no headphone jack, I’ll go with the Redmi Note 5.
So a 710 version and a 636 one?
There’s the regular A2 and a lite version with an SD625 and notch.
I rather buy the redmi note 5 that has a 4000mah battery, a headphone jack and flash a custom aosp rom like resurrection remix. Much better than a2
YAASSSSSSSS
There’s a million versions of Gcam tho so provided you have enabled Camera2 API one of them should work I think? Not heard of the audio problems…
Thanks all for the help. Got the A1 today. So far I’m loving it!
I don’t think your SD625 remark as a joke, I’d bet money that at least one of the two versions will have an SD625 in it
Xiao🅱i loves 6xx chipsets.
oh yes
I’m guessing something like that yea
The 2 is better than 1 hashtag is probably a nod to that fact that they’re launching 2 Android one phones.
