Hopefully they will spread through Europe quite rapidly.
Has the London Mi Store been doing much business ?
This is the actual reputation Xiaomi has in the UK. Numerous people I talk to in the UK know nothing about Xiaomi, except that they tried to run a scam competition. They quickly gained a reputation as scam artists. It’s too bad really.
C’est la Xiaomi?!?
Hope is here that i can import it cheap to Germany
I’ve seen newsagents bigger than the mi store we have in london
I was surprised to see Mi store in Riga, Latvia. So random, but it looked quite busy. Good for them!
No they have a physical presence
Yes, great foot traffic.
Oh don’t worry: they’ll burn the store down in a week 😂
Doesn’t it just ruin the way they do business? Like their phones were cheap bcs they used to sell them online and didn’t have a lot of workers, from this point I believe that prices will only go up…
No idea, I’ve not heard of a single person mentioning it and they ran a massive ad campaign when they launched
Can’t you just import from the UK?
Hmm might consider it, thank you 👌
See /u/darkdoorway response, their reputation was trashed.
Probably worth mentioning their EU pricing is quite far away from home pricing. Before all this kicked off I bought a Xiomi M365 scooter, had it shipped direct from China – it was vastly cheaper than their current retail costs even factoring VAT/Shipping
The company opens the biggest Mi Store on the Old Continent in Paris, France, at the famous Champs-Elysees street.
€1 PHONES FOR EVERYONE
*^Only ^one ^available*
Nice, didn’t know there was one. What’s the location?
Terbatas st 14
Mate just say the name of your country lol.
>pk
That’s scary then.
That is just a warehouse with seat in China, like gearbest right?
Sadly this is fairly typical of Chinese companies, they brought that mindset to the UK and it was called out exceptionally quickly.
They managed to destroy their reputation within a week, it hit all the mainstream headlines.
So France, know what you’re getting in to – they’ll rip you off at a moments notice.
I hope all the products that are available at the store will end up online (paris is not far for me but still)
