I got mix 3 and I’ve miui 11
XIAOMI YOU NEED TO FIX THE FREAKING NOTIFICATIONS PROBLEM IT’S BEEN HAPPENING SINCE EVER IN MIUI
Less MIUI style and more AOSP, please.
do you know any good candidates?
Same with the Note 8.
The one I’m using is called Android 10_Dual. It works perfectly in both light and dark mode.
It’s a Xiaomi device. To add salt to the injury, it’s an Android One device.
Android One devices should receive update fast. First then other devices.
MiA3 is going to be the last Xiaomi device to get Android 10. Meanwhile, all Android One manufactures already updated their phones.
Due to the crappy software support from Xiaomi, this is going to be my last Xiaomi phone.
I agree with this. I currently use a Mi 9 Lite and an iPhone 7 Plus. The former’s reading mode is barely noticeable and its auto brightness has a tendency to be jumpy, necessitating frequent manual adjustment.
The iPhone’s reading mode is pretty stong and I have to dial it down to 50% for comfortable use. Overall, I use the iPhone more often during the night.
This.
idk man, the way you describe it what you want is an accessibility feature for a medical condition of sorts. not some general option like the high contrast mode one windows or something.
. Do you have a diagnosis from doctor on what actually puts a strain to your eyes? it seems to me that if its that bad, the simple solution is to spend less time on the phone. period.
Do you have the same eye strain with a TV at 3m or further away?
LASTLY the one thing certain to cause eye strain and headaches is not colors but the strobe effect on modern screens when it’s low frequency. but every single screen I know doesn’t do that in 100% or close to 100% brightness… So, a well lit room with high brightness device is an actual helpful advice for a lot of people; maybe not for you.
if this is your actual issue however, I d look for a device that has a screen with DC dimming or something like idk the name of it.
and no I didn’t down vote your original comment or your reply. but you sure sound entitled. good for you
This.
What specifically are you waiting for that’s in Android 10?
I use [xiaomi.eu](https://xiaomi.eu) rom and I’m running miui 11 (with android 8) for my mi 5.
[xiaomi.eu](https://xiaomi.eu) is pretty good at releasing new roms whenever official xiaomi release new miui versions.
I don’t know, I find the dimming of the blue light very noticeable.
Same, I was using cf.lumen before, and it was removing all the blue, leaving a completely red screen. Perfect.
Why
Which phone? My Mi Mix 2 got it.
On xiaomieu it does
> Motorola or iPhone
One of those doesn’t have Android 10.
Please add album cover art to lockscreen! There’s no reason not to.
I have a slider in settings and find it very noticable at 50%.
My Mi9 is great
Meanwhile I still don’t receive Android 10 for my RN8 Pro Global Rom. Sigh
Xiaomi.eu ported the mi5s rom
\> But there needs to at least be a China version of the OS for xiaomi.eu to get a base to work with.
Yes which is why I’m hopeful that MIUI 12 will pushes things forward for xiaoeu and other xiaomi custom roms.
I don’t use netflix on mi 5 but it passes saftynet and all banking apps and google pay works fine for me.
Mix 3 5g
> I don’t use netflix on mi 5 but it passes saftynet and all banking apps and google pay works fine for me.
That’s only for some more time. Google is testing hardware level testing for safetynet, which even the magisk dev said there is no way to hack that. So bootloader unlock hiding is going to be impossible.
But there needs to at least be a China version of the OS for xiaomi.eu to get a base to work with.
There is a beta version of miui11 with Android 9 for the Mix 3(5g).
I’m in miui10 with Android 9. It’s not worth unlocking bootloader and installing custom for the same Android version.
Also custom ROMs are starting to lose bank apps and/or hd from Netflix. Cracks been beaten.. for now.
Just doesn’t seem worth it.
Same. But European, Russia, India, and China rom already have Android 10. Only Global and Indonesia that doesn’t have it yet.
Any idea on how GUI will be changed?
Not the 5g
Nah, it’s the same

Lol miui 12, and here I am with miui 10 on mix 3 5g which was supposed to be a flagship phone. This will seriously make me considering buying another xiaomi phone in future.
Well given how bad 11 (Android 10) is regarding battery life that’s no surprise.
And I’m still waiting for Android 10 on my Mi A3 :((
> it is possible that the official launch of the first stable version will happen in October.
Lol what, I was on stable miui 11 in early November, how is ‘much sooner than expected’ considered 1 month.
Meanwhile, no Android 10 stable for MiA3
Isn’t Mi5 not supported in miui 11?
I’ll take this any day. AOSP look, MIUI features.
>I have a slider in settings and find it very noticable at 50%.
No offence, but maybe you should just use your phone on a well lit room or not use it at all. The effect of blue light and blue light filters is still kinda dubious, so maybe you could just try to take some time off from your phone.
Personally , blue filter or not , phone really tires my eyes , i guess it’s the close distance or the awkward stance in bed … But i have little to no problem with my laptop at my desk in a well lit room… No blue filter at all…
But then again , if you found that the blue filter does have a positive effect on you then ignore my comment … I personally find them rather gimmicky on top of making the screen look awful at stronger red light level..
EDIT: Wrong quote, I blame fat fingers or reddit gods.
1) yes, definitely. Xiaomi itself is to blame. But I’ll stay with this phone for the next two years, I’m not rich to replacing phones every year.
2) no. I’m afraid I could damage my phone
3) I bought because of Android One, great cameras and amoled screen.
4) not available for my phone. Those who received are complaining about bugs
5) Android 10 is one of the biggest milestones for Android. Beyond dark mode (yes, I care) and gesture navigations (only available on Android 10 stock), it has I important improvements under the hood.
So yes. I’m nuts about the lack of support from Xiaomi. Definitively, I’ll go with Motorola or iPhone next time.
may come properly support for APTX (and others) codecs on Redmi Note 8 Pro 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Can’t even get miui11 for a year old phone.
