Only SD435 which is much slower than the SD625 I have now and smaller battery, not really an upgrade except size, but I dont want to skimp on those features to get a smaller phone. Just sad that all new phones are super big 5.5-6.5″ and have mediocre 3000mAh battery

Finally putting that body size to good use, kudos Xiaomi. The only aversion I had with the older Max & Max 2 were their massive bezels, always thought they could cram a 7 inch display into that body had they cut down on those bezels. Lowkey excited for this one.

The 710 uses a75s and no overclocking will reach that gpu performance. but for the 636 rn5, theres already a custom kernel which OCs to 2.2ghz, which gets it to 660 levels i think. The dev couldnt unlock the gpu freqs though, which are pretty low at around 420 mhz.

Are the dimensions are same as max 2 except the screen?
Everything I’ve seen says yes within 2mm on the case. Little heavier for the bigger battery. Possibly a touch narrower due to the aspect ratio.
I’m on the Oneplus 5T that has a 6 inch display but that thing’s huge, can’t even call it a phablet.
Also doesn’t the Mi max 2 have a 6.4 inch display, the Mi max 3 pro will have a 6.9 inch display.

Tbh – with root and custom kernel, you could easily set your own kernel parameters in synapse or whatever, and performance would basically be equal to SD710/660 levels.
But I realize most people don’t want to go through this process, so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
