doesnt chrome limit everything to 60fps? i tried it on my ipad pro (120fps) but it didnt go above 60
Damn, my 60 frames phone.
This is the main problem. I have to put my mi10T lite to 60Hz just so the stutter doesn’t happen brutally, on 120hz it wants to destroy my eye or something, it’s really not fun. I can’t believe i paid for a 120Hz phone but end up have to use 60Hz instead
Thats weird, cuz i was using poco launcher since the begining without a problem and i was already on Android 11, just after this “security update” i got the issue
Lol 🙁
This happens if you use a different launcher. Android 11 changed somthing. Use the stock launcher (miui) and it works. This is actually googles fault.
I have the MI 10T 8gb ver but don’t seem to have this problem. The stutter warning doesn’t go above 1+. Also running on Android 11.
Check this refresh rate on other Chromium Browsers such as Brave, Opera, Firefox, Edge. Do you get same result?
I will try this. I don’t know how to do it, can you help me?
I’d also recommend not using Chrome. Just use Brave/Vivaldi or Edge (all mobile browser ofc)
No it’s not like that on Android phonea because we have so many high refresh rate phone on Android, Samsung s20/s21, xiaomi phones, oneplus phones and many more
I found a temporary solution – use Poco Launcher and Samsung browser. Both can be found in the play store and work flawlessly.
But yeah, this update is absolutely laughable. It did not bring a single improvement. I am shocked they pushed this through as a stable version…
I have the 10t lite and 12.08 same problem since i got the phone.
yeah but any browser is better than the buggy shit that is chrome for android
Those are all Chromium forks
Miui is a bloated software. If you expect performance out of it, you are gonna be disappointed my friend.
You need enable to install from third party sources . Go to settings , search for install unknown apps and allow the file manager .
restart phone
Aah how could I possibly forget.
Firefox: Stable 50fps and 50 Hz.
Maybe it would have been best if you never had reminded me :'(

But it’s not the same in the Mi browser! I actually reach 144hz in Mi browser..
And there is stutter in the app drawer too…
There is a hz fps monitor in the dev section in all xiaomi phones. Chrome reaches 120hz but yes it is adaptive. Scroll fast and it goes up till max hz.
However as sayd by others. Mi browser runs smooth. The settings menu not. I think it is the adaptiv thing who stutters since it adapts to slow or is not fully compatible.
I bet a fixed setting would resolve this but drain the battery faster. They need to fix the adaptive hz. Very disapointing.
Games actually have to support 120/144hz. There is a list somewhere but even then it needs to support the specific phone. But thats a whole other story.
try a complete reflash with XiaoMiTool 2. it will wipe all of your data!
ive installed that way and got no issues at all.
How to update the miui system launcher? When i get it from apkmirror it says can’t install from unofficial sources.
Try updating the mi launcher . Search for apk in xda if it doesn’t auto update . Happened to me in the past .
I got a diferent issue, the full screen navigation gestures isnt working since 12.1.2.0 update at all

Wow, you tested all those browsers and no Firefox? 🙁
What are Xiaomi doing? They screwed up the Poco F2 and now this. They need to evaluate their quality control, or get one in place.
Just updated to Android 11 on my Mi 10T Lite, same problem. Very annoying.
i just check it too im using k30u 12.0.20 cn rom
it locks to 90hz. it doesnt do that in 12.0.18
although the battery improve tho
Yes. Can’t believe how shit it is since everything else from google is butter
I never had any problems with other phones. I bought a xiaomi (Mi 10t pro) for the first time and now i think i should never have done it … It’s full of stupid bugs.
How did you even get the update I’m at 12.08 global
I can confirm exact same issue and numbers on Chrome here on my 10T Pro. Is it the misreading and/or lag from chrome or is it actually wrong hz?
# (UFO Test, multiple runs, 144hz in MIUI)
**Seems to be Chrome issue**
* Samsung Browser: Much more stable, almost steady 144hz
* Opera: Stable 90 fps and 90 Hz
* Edge: 144 fps stable. Sometimes unable to lock hz but when it does 144 Hz **\*BEST CHOICE\***
* Firefox: Stable 50fps and 50 Hz.
* Mi browser: 144 stable FPS but unable to show Hz due to “webkit VSYNC access error” (MIUI native browser.. irony much?)
Hey. Do you also encounter ghosting effect on moving objects? (Say, the UFOs seem distorted here)
Is the issue resolved yet or not?
Seems like because of the adaptive refresh rate
This is why I dont install any updates on Xiaomi devices OR install custom OS’s. Installed PE+ on my Poco F1 so I dont have to bring up with Xiaomis bugs. My brother picked up the Mi 10t lite and I told him NOT to update anything, and there are mostly no issues (especially with 120hz).
Is the issue resolved?
Never had any issus with chrome, edge, or tor browser xD
I’m aware.
This. It takes way to long to adapt. I used the dev hz fps monitor. I hope they can fix this.
It is sad that 60hz isent stutering but less smooth. I want the 120hz to be working correctly. Sometimes it feels like my old outdated note 7.
I mean that as a chrome wide problem, my One plus 8 stutters too when using chrome but not on any other browser.
