Very beautiful phone imo.
Don’t get me wrong, the specs are top notch and the screen is one of the better quality ips, but it’s still LCD. If you put it side by side with an Amoled you’ll see the difference. For the asking price it’s not worth it.
100% agree. Wouldn’t even consider an LCD phone in 2020.
Take my money
I’ve been using a mi a3 (one of the cheapest phones with an oled display) and honestly, I can never go back to lcd… even though the mi a3’s oled display isn’t exactly top notch, I still prefer it over lcd displays now…
You can’t have both 144hz and oled for the price of this phone.
Give them a year or two to settle down prices and shit and we’ll have it.
Look at how amazing 5G phones are nowadays. Samsung and other big companies added the price of a 2020 5G phone to their 5G versions.
We can do it but it takes a bit of time and sacrifices in other areas like the cameras or the battery.
Actually, Red Magic 5s has the same specs, more ram and an Amoled display, and it’s 580€.
But has 8mp front camera, 64 on the back, doesn’t have wireless charging and don’t get me started on how poor-quality the magic 5s sensor is compared to the xiaomi.
Well, personally I’d rather compromise on camera sensors than the display quality.
Yeah. Same. But it goes back to my point where sacrifices have to be made on one component to improve the other.
Best example is the OnePlus Nord.
Of course. After all choosing a phone is a personal choice. It’s not like my opinion is gospel. Just saying that I think they’ve compromised on the wrong things in this new line of phones.
Why is this camera so bad?
Yeah. It’s difficult to find a phone they has it all. I spent a month finding a good phone and I settled for the Mi Note 10. Maybe would’ve liked another phone better but I’m happy af with it.
I would have preferred 90hz amoled over 144hz lcd to br honest. I think i will hold on to my 9t pro
*for a 300$+ Phone
I think they should use 90hz Amoled.
Does it have SD slot and water resistance rating?
they literally shot themselves in the foot with that decision
just price it a bit higher for amoled
> Despite the 2X2 grid of what appears to be lenses below the main large camera, only two are sensors: a 13MP ultra-wide angle and a 5MP macro lens. The other two are an LED flash and what appears to be decoration.
🤦
Where are the best places for European buyers to purchase it from ?
The Mi 10 Pro is probably a better proposition to what this offers.
>\*for a 300$+ Phone
no for both questions
Is this model better than the Mi 10 Ultra?
60hz amoled > 144hz lcd
What’s the difference between M10 Ultra and Mi 10 Pro ?
I really don’t get the Hz buzz, most people wouldn’t even recognize the difference. But in daily use you’ll notice AMOLED.
No AOD so …
Ultra is AMOLED with 120Hz. 4500maH battery. Some say camera sensor is better (article says this). And more variations of ram / storage config (I have the 12gb / 256). No global ROM on Ultra, need to flash Xiaomi EU ROM or stick with factory Chinese. No regrets buying the Ultra, even after seeing this 10T Pro. Also no micro SD expansion on Ultra
$300? The starting price is €599/$700…
Have it , never using LCD only amoled
the quote is a mistake, not sure what happened, i was just answering your question, didn t intend to quote anyone so ignore it.
Cool. Where did you buy it from ?

I have a mi9t – will I notice a difference in youtube, Reddit, WhatsApp? Or is screen Hz strictly a benefit for FPS games?
Dumb question: does the ultra have a “desktop version”, like samsung dex? I read in an article it did.
Yeah, its like switching from android to iphone
What’s so bad about lcd?
Thanks.
Don’t think so – does anyone actually use Dex? I tried on my Note 9 and it was just bog slow. More like a novelty I think
I use quite a lot on my Samsung, keeps me on my daily tasks, that’s why I was hoping for something similar on Xiaomi
In soo hyped for the LCD LMAO 😍🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 When do you think it will arrive on amazon or Gearbest to order to US?
The pro has better battery life, better speakers, better daytime photos (but worse night time photos, zoom photos, and takes longer to charge) I picked up the CN version of the pro from trading shenzhen for $659 during their $100 off sale.
Objectively the mi 10 pro is a much better phone for the money but the ultra is definitely the better phone if your not on a budget.
The 90hz AMOLED on my mi 10 pro is probably the best mix between visual eye candy and battery life. I can definitely tell a big difference between 69 vs 90. After 90hz I can’t really tell the difference visually only by feel and it’s really hard to differentiate between the two.
Xiaomi did an amazing job with the mi 10 pro🤷♂️
There’s nothing wrong with LCD.
But in fact i prefer LCD over AMOLED, for the following reasons:
Pros LCD
1- No burn in in almost 90% of the cases. (this is why there is not many oled monitors, can’t stand windows status bar).
2- No color degradation or less over time.
3- Higher refresh rates allowed.
4- Cheaper to produce.
5- Brighter overall.
6- Perfect color reproduction due RGB matrix not pentile like amoled, ips have twice as red and blue pixels in same resolution.
7- RGB because full rgb matrix in same resolution has better details, AMOLED has about 20% les crispy image at same resolution.
8- No flickering or poder modulation of brightness, this is really common on amoleds, only some xiaomis and huawei offer a mode called flicker free, or anti-flicker (My mi note 10 has it), flicker can cause eye strain, in my case brain pains from time to time.
Pros of amoled:
1- No GHOSTING on moving items.
2- Much lower response times overall.
3- More uniform brightness because independent cells instead of bigger cell illuminator as IPS models.
4- Pure blacks or almost.
5- More resistent, are really hard to break.
6- Less power hungry when used on black schemas.
I hope this clarifies a bit.
In my opinion amoled should be the better technology if didn’t burn, lose color and have pwm flickering at about 250hz
Thanks 🙂
I don’t think amoled displays are more resilient than lcd display. In fact opposite is true
Every amoled i had have bad screen burn.
That never goes away.
And this LCD seems to be very very good.
>I don’t think amoled displays are more resilient than lcd display. In fact opposite is true
Yes, you’re partially right.
But i was meaning something like if you try to punch an amoled, probably you wont break it ( direct punch to the screen ), if you try that on a LCD ( liquid cristal display ) then you will end up with a broken screen probably or a badly damaged one.
But in fact in terms of durability, long term withouth abuse LCD wins hands down.
Because it’s using different camera the mi 10 pro.
