Why do you think so?
Maybe because is too expensive for a Xiaomi phone and for the indian market
Edit: after watching the video: yeap, that’s the matter. He even put a survey asking “will you buy the Mi 10 in India” and 98% said No.
I really, really hope the Mi10 and Poco F2 flop and flop hard. This pricing is just unacceptable.
It deserves to flop. This whole Mi10 fiasco was [kind of predictable](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FJgTKx-rg18). Not by me of course, I was as naive as the rest of us.
Wait, Poco F2 price is already leaked? Or it’s already released in India?
It’s the Redmi K30 rebranded and with a new (very expensive) price.
Leaked. Rumors around 600-700€
I assume it’s the Pro right? Not regular Poco F2?
Because it’s different, they both have different model number as well. Poco F2 (M2004J11G) is already certified on my country, while Poco F2 Pro/Redmi K30 Pro (M2003J6CI) wasn’t certified yet.
here’s the proof for Poco F2 Pro model number: [https://twitter.com/xiaomishka/status/1250900497176952833?lang=en](https://twitter.com/xiaomishka/status/1250900497176952833?lang=en)
and here’s the proof for Poco F2 model number: [https://www.fonearena.com/blog/308898/poco-m2004j11g-eec-poco-f2.html](https://www.fonearena.com/blog/308898/poco-m2004j11g-eec-poco-f2.html)
This. Before these increases in phone retail prices I was considering mostly Xiaomi and OnePlus, but with them getting in the same price range as the top flagship, I’d choose other phones, such as pixels, instead.
No dual sim no Mi 10…
Yes, but not at this high price.
Oneplus have done the same this year. Gotten greedy I mean🤔
Why would someone buy a random Xiaomi when they could buy a popular Samsung for the same price? In business it is well known that consumers will go for the more popular device, even if a cheaper device is actually better. And in this case, it isn’t even cheaper!
Everyone wants better features, when they get them, they cost extra money.
Extra features are not that extra anymore. But money shure gets extra..cted from our wallets.
Its just as simple as “for that money I could buy Apple or Samsung”.
And Xiaomi is neither of those not just yet.
5g model pricing
Oh no you didn’t did you? You..bought one?
Just buy a op7t pro.
MI should stick to mid rangers and TV’s. They have no market in premium as it has been dominated by samsung OnePlus and Apple
Dude who the hell is going to buy a Xiaomi when they can buy an iPhone 11 trading off basically only the screen?
If the iPhone 12 will be OLED with the same pricing, I think that OnePlus, Xiaomi and all those flagship wannabees need to cut their prices hard
Haha luckily no. I’m still on Mi 6.
That’s literally what I said. Android is better but whatever, like I said, iPhone is more popular than even Samsung so for most consumers that would be the ideal choice. I highly doubt iPhone 12 will be even close to the pricing of most Xiaomi phones and any OnePlus phone. And by the way, they really aren’t wannabes. For companies that started out way after the main companies, they are doing pretty good.
I’m glad I got the Mi Mix 3 5G for just over £200. I wouldn’t have considered Xiaomi otherwise. After a month and knowing what I know now, this will be my last Xiaomi phone. Bloatware and ads alone are just too much of a turn off. I feel sorry for those that paid full price of £700. This will be my last Xiaomi. I said the same about Galaxy Note 2 being my last Samsung. Never came back since.
Still not sure why the current trend is to have the same phone with a zoom camera costing $200 more. Just make one phone with the zoom camera nobody wants a dam depth sensor
Yes I was agreeing with you.
iPhone 11 128 in Italy is easily 699/749€
Samsung S20 649€/719€
So yeah i don’t think there is enough space with the “entry level premium”, I mean if I wanted Android, Samsung is both cheaper than OnePlus and Xiaomi, with a better hardware.
If the next iPhone 12 (not the Pro) has the same pricing, like 799€, there is literally no way Xiaomi and OnePlus get any sale in the 600+ area.
They should price a good featured flagship around 499€ and that would sell like hot cakes. Just cut the rounded edges of the screen (ugly useless and expensive), fancy super fast wireless charging (10W is fine), no ultra zoom/fancy hundreds of megapixels, just 3 good rear cameras
Popup/teardrop, 120hz 1080p OLED.
I could also live perfectly with the classic fingerprint in the back, instead of the new fancy in screen fingerprint.
I believe Xiaomi and OnePlus purposely want to sell less with higher margins, because they expected lower sales anyways this year, and the covid was the icing on the cake
exactly. i wanted to buy the mi 10 pro but not at 1000€i bought an s20+ snapdragon (Exycrap in Europe) now for 850€ compared to the mi 10 pro it has ip68, 120hz and fhd, usb3.2 for desktop mode, is lighter and thinner, no hard curved screen, better screenexpandable memory!, wireles charging. all this i can not find on the mi 10 proit had should be priced at 650€- 700€
EDIT, mi10 has wireles charging, The Camera sems to be better as on the s20 Ultra
Yeah, Poco F2 Pro leaked to be 649€ for the base version in Portugal. Portugal seems to be about 50-100€ more expensive than the rest of the market in Europe though. Spain (Amazon) has way better prices.
Like say the Realme X2 Pro costs about 500€ for the 8/128GB, meanwhile on Amazon Spain you can get it for 395€ from time to time and the 12/256GB is at 440€ on Amazon Spain.
I’d say One Plus 8 and One Plus 8 Pro (more so the pro) have the best value at the moment. QHD+ 120Hz on the Pro variant is fantastic value for the same price as the Mi 10 Pro. Only downside is really just the cameras (tho you get better stabilization and realistic colors).
There are other models at yout price range, these are just the premium level models which are still way cheaper than anything from apple.
These are 5G models with wireless and reverse wireless charging. Of course they would cost more. Xiaomi sell other models at your price range, quit being so whiney.
Watching this video made me realize that the situation is very different in India than France where i live, we ( I ) don’t have your ads issue and that’s why i’m considering the MI 10 over the 8/8pro because PRO version are too expensive and base 8 have less feature than the MI 10.
I really like MIUI on my 5+ and i don’t have any ads. Also i don’t like Samsung and Apple after i’ve tried both.
buy the Chinese products you bigots
That’s quite strange the top of the line mi 10 pro goes for 700 euro in HK. Did they bump it up for europe?
Like ranjeet points out in this video, no one in india would by a xioami phone for 50k when one could buy a one plus for 54k. It’s just that oneplus has that premium feel one could never get from a xiaomi.
Hopefully it’s flops hard so I can buy it cheap af
IP rating is huge for me,more so with this kind of absurd price tag, also software cannot compare to something like Samsung or Oneplus and both of them have models that can compete with Mi 10 with same or even lower price,i would rather grab S20,OP8
Yeah it’s like €850 for the 256gb version. Unacceptable
It’s not that hard to debloat a Xiaomi phone.
Yeah, that’s the thing most people don’t realize. They think they can just ask for more improvements and retaining the same price range. It’s like people don’t have any idea how much the 5G parts costs.
Even mid-range phones that are capable of 5G also has bigger prices than last gens.
If your country won’t even have 5G in your area then just go buy a cheaper phone preferably one that doesn’t have 5G.
Is there a non-pro model? Even if there was, it would not matter as it would not matter at all since it obviously would not have a S865…
Only partially
Has anyone here has seen that Semi Nude ads??
Lol hell no bro. 865>>>>>>>>>855+. Realme OS is shitty, Mi 10 pro is way and way better for camera also it can record 8k and unlimited 960 fps slow motion video. It has Super Amoled Delta <1, dual stereo adaptative speaker, new haptic feedback. Nahhh Realme X2 pro isn't even in my thoughts
Here in france Mi Note 10 Pro (CC9 pro) was one of the most lucrative product for Mi stores and it cost 650€ so get more for hundred more is possible. It certainly will because IPhone 12 will cost around 800-1700€…
Good. Just ordered a Realme x2 Pro after Miui 11 fucked the battery life of Mi Mix 3. Goodbye Xiaomi.
So was I, my dude. Finally decided to go with the Mi Note 10 (was waiting for the Mi 10 to go on sale but then found out it didn’t have dual SIM) and what an upgrade it is!
Yeah. I nearly bought it before noticing that. Went with a Mi Note 10 in the end.
No way anyone with spare grand will choose Xiaomi over Samsung, Google or even Apple.
Mi Note 10 Lite seems like an incredible deal when compared to the Mi 10 now.
The mi does have wireless charging btw
Let’s stick to Realme 6 for now. Thanks Xiaomi.
Well, we don’t know yet since the leaks focused on the Pro model… But since it’s Poco, I hope they follow OnePlus Pro vs non-Pro models.
Both with flagship specs but one with worse display, cameras etc? Even if it was the case I doubt that base model will be under 500Euros.
It’s quite normal. I mean no one will put between 700 and 1000 bucks in a Chinese phone. Every normal person would just buy the newest iPhone in this price range. Personally I have the mi 9t pro, it’s quite cheaper and it gets the job done.
damn people on here really are calling mi10 unreasonably expensive and getting Exynos S20+s lmao
Only the screen? I agree that iPhone 11 is so much better overall but you can’t say only the screen where it is the screen that you see almost 100% of the time you use your phone.
I 100% agree. But it’s not a bad screen (good colors and brightness), just terrible resolution and dated IPS technology.
But many people don’t know and don’t care about these last two things.
unpopular opinion;
everyone needs to shut up about the mi 10. it has specs that rival the 1400 dollar galaxy s20 ultra and a design that is in my opinion much better. This Is like how xiaomi was producing phones with specs sold usually at 600 dollars for 200 dollars but now they have scaled it up. Not only this but they still produce many cheap phones – Redmi k30 K30pro even the zoom one. Those are phones for the low budget market. and maybe you slot into that market, but this is the flagship market and if you don’t like it, keep buying their low cost phones and they will keep making them. not everything is about you and if a phone suits you. People will buy this phone because it is the best produced by xiaomi. Get over yourselves
I would.
No worries I agree with you. But when people have used 1080p for a long time, they will notice the downgrade if they read a lot of text. Otherwise, it is great.
People complain about pricing should complain about apple more then! They’re the one jacking up the prices and trying to set the trend for everyone else. As i said, these models are 5g with wireless and reverse wireless features, if you don’t need them then buy a cheaper model.
I’ll wait for the mi mix 4
why the poco f2? tbh that looks really promising, and i know the expected price is at 25k ish i kinda think its the best deal considering it would ship with an amoled screen and sd 865 soc.
Waiting for post with your impressions then.
You really expect that thing to launch at 300Euros again? No, it will not, it will launch around 600Euros. Maybe there is a non-pro model, we don’t know, but that won’t be that much cheaper if it still has a 865. It will most likely be the same situation as the Mi 9T and Mi 9TPro, but much more expensive
I bought the mi 10 for €650 (reasonable price for what you get) … It is basically the mi 10 pro with less capable cameras (which are still good enough for my use)… This phone is great bdw
The Mi 8 and Poco F1 will forever be the best value top of the line phone in history.
the poco x2 (the younger sibling of f series)was launched around 200Euros, which makes sense, it had a bigger and higher refresh rate screen and an 720g soc which is very good too. so yeah, i will say that the poco f2 would be launched around 300euros because the f1 was also launched at 240euros, remember that.
I hope they deliver a ‘true’ Mi 9T(/pro) successor…
Ehm… you are very wrong on those prices. I can’t comment for X2 as it was never launched in Europe as far as I know (definitely not in my country). Poco F1 launched at 365Euro with an 845. Poco F2 non Pro will NOT be that cheap. Why? Because of useless stuff like those stupid macro cameras.
Great channel.
Not just pricing but only 1 SIM? They are downgrading from the previous versions. I was planning to upgrade my Mi9 but the double price and lack of second SIM is a nono.
Blame Apple. If you release a $1000 iPhone, others will not sell their phones for $100 anymore. Even $700 will look like a good deal.
in india , poco f1 was launched with a price of 21k, thats about 250 euros, but in europe it was launched ag 365 euros, dont know why but the company chose to sell it cheap in india, so my bad, i shouldve looked. but i guess the same would go for f2 as well, cheaper in india, around 25k.
True, no one wanted a forced 5G
my city in France wouldn’t get 5G until 5 years
I highly doubt it. If the base F2 is a rebranded K30 then it will not be much cheaper than the F2P. Definitely over 400Euros. But hey, at least it will force me to keep my F1 for much longer until phones become cheap again.
WAIT WHAT? The F2P will not be a Dual-SIM/SIM+SD phone?
I am talking about the Mi10 here, sorry for confusion.
Ah.
But not with the software. I buy Xiaomi phones for the hardware.
>Record 8k
Sure buddy, sure.
If you don’t like iOS…
> dated IPS
The best joke I have heard today.
Where do you live? It’s 999 euro here for the Pro version in the Netherlands.
IPS is a dated technology in the phone industry, and that’s a fact.
I didn’t mean that the iPhone 11 IPS is dated, its probably the best IPS screen in the industry, and better than many cheap OLEDs for color accuracy, calibration and uniformity, brightness ecc.
But Apple themselves deem OLED the better technology, or they wouldn’t have equipped their Pro lineup with OLED.
How is your sot and camera performance? I am curious because I want to buy it.
Thank you in advance for the answer
> phone industry
And that is about it.
i got the s20+ snapdragon 865 variant for me, so processor wise the mi 10 is good i agree with that
yup i didnt mind that while i was writing 😀
Good to know so they managed to get the camera right thats very good! #
thx for the info ill edit the first post then
I am not a heavy phone user I mainly use it for youtube and other daily social media apps (facebook, messenger, watsapp, reddit etc..)
In a normal day from roughly 7am till 10pm ill still have about 50% battery which is awesome. Ill plug it for 20 to 30mins and its 100% again.
While I am not a camera enthusiast I started to love taking photos with this. Photos are clear and colours are great with some hiccups in lowlight. But processing speeds and stabilization are great.
In my opinion the OP8 Pro is step above this however in my country that starts at €900 which is too much and this blows the normal OP8 out of the park imo (apart from Oxygen OS)
Thats my opinion about it… Let me know what you end up doing !
Well time to hit the old dusty trail…when Huawei upped their prices I moved from the P9 to the Xiaomi mi9. Guess I’m moving on again…after Xiaomi who is the next new up and coming manufacturer?
MIUI has also become a whole lot more obtrusive. Oxygen UI is so clean, I am loving it. Heck, I am ready to go for the iPhone SE (2020) instead of MI 10 because atleast I know Apple will provide years of support!
They are not even comparable, sure the Note 10 Lite is way cheaper, but Mi 10 is a flagship, not a intermediate device.
Mi 10 has higher refresh rate, UFS3.1, SD865, DDR5 RAM, wireless charging, reverse charging and etc, all of which are missing on the Lite.
I’m also really considering the Mi 10, don’t understand why people are bashing it, saw it for 630€ and i just can’t find a better device with all of it’s features in this range. And that because it just launched, it’s probably ending up cheaper in a while…
Yes it does
I would say they are closer than the price suggests, that’s my point.
The pixel 3A is fantastic.
Same
So it was Mi 8, Mi 6… Why would anybody buy one of the “cheap” phones when you are at the same price of the top-tier ones?
400$ mi8 also rivaled s9, so fucking what? There’s absolutely nothing special about the mi10 to justify the massive price hike.
but the s9 was about 800 dollars at launch. making the price rises reasonable and proportional
It doesn’t always work like that though. $50 more of what, what is the percentage increase, how does that change the margins of OEMs, what about the price-curve overtime (something which Xiaomi is obsessed with in its phones), supply of chips, etc.
QC upping their chip pricing has a knock on effect which isn’t equivalent to the upped original price only.
Agree. 4a also seems promising.
Stupid question but what stops people from just ordering the Chinese variants for much cheaper. That’s how I buy Xiaomi phones. I live in Canada.
Yeah sure
Normal mi10 256g is 850 =(
That’s not the point though. Why would a paying customer have to do it? Why?
If someone wasn’t as technical then yes, they would struggle with it. So question still remains, why does Xiaomi have to force it on their consumers?
First and last Xiaomi device for me.
They probably got their lesson from mi 10 so i think that wont take any risk with poco f2
Naah i think that was just total bs.
For what you are getting at €700 the MI 10 is priced reasonably in todays market. I think their problem is hiking it up all at once… Using OPs strategy would have made it easier to swallow
they can never be oneplus with their defective screens that burn after one day ? or what is your argument?
I know they can’t be OnePlus i dont see why they should be im just saying that they shouldn’t be because od they were they would have unsatisfying camera and bad displays And customer support that wont respond i know what in saying i had oneplus for 3 years And i was dumb to stick with them and the 8 pro again Screen that breaks And Burns after first few days And camera again nothing special…
yeah thats what im saying people say hurr durr oneplus is better yeah sure i got 7 pro guess what my screen burned after 7 months of using it and 8 pro burns after the first day/week so yeah oneplus is surelly better
In Australia prices for the iphone 11 and 12 start from $1700 to $2600+.
They are absolutely trying to normalise an era of $1000+ phones.
But common sense get downvoted!
there is; increased price sd865, curved screen, 5g,camera systems
