The Mi8 is getting MIUI 12 and Android 11 , that has been confirmed.
Hopefully it fixes the restart loop

I kinda wish they also accidentally leaked devices that are going to get it.
Well I would’ve opted for the MIUI EU beta but instead went for a clean Pixel like experience with added features, it’s called Evolution X, obviously I would lose a lot of MIUI features like the Game Launcher but I didn’t really care tbh

Xiaomi devices are great hardware for the money but for me I always install a custom rom because if you don’t you won’t get many updates.
It is an android one phone. It will be late. They have to fuck up atleast thrice. /s
Easy fix buy 9 series and above, better yet buy a pixel.
Edit: Lol downvoted for speaking the truth, we all know it I’m just saying it, Xiaomi pump out phones instead of updates cause that’s were the money is. You bought a cheap phone, so did I, we can’t complain. As I said if you want consistent updates get a flagship or a pixel and stop throwing a tantrum like a child that you’re not on Android 10 it’s pathetic.

Supposedly persistent media notifications will now work the way they do in stock Android, meaning they’ll get automatically match the color of the cover art and, most importantly the interactive scrubber introduced in Android 10.
