an almost 1cm thicc™ boy
(9.4mm to be precise)
After checking some comparisons between both procesadores the difference was like about 15-20% more power, but that doesn’t mean the same difference in efficiency. The jump from 10nm to 7nm wasn’t as big as the one from 14 to 10. It’ll be more efficient, but I don’t know to what extent and how that will translate more hours of use.
If you take the mix2 and mix2s as examples you can see they don’t look the same and their cases are different, so it could be the same for the mix3 and the 5g version. 🤔🧐
Just stick with it
Honestly, i feel like they would do a slight design change with the Mi Mix 3s like they did on the Mi mix 2s, or they won’t even do a Mi Mix 3s this year.
Ah, you are right, the Qualcomm modem in (with?) the 855 isn’t always the 5g one. Sorry I didn’t know what I was talking about
Then why is this so much more expensive than mi9 that also had sd855? Yes mix series is always a little more but this is a big difference. 5g is the only reason that stands out.
~~If it’s got the 855 it may as well have 5g, I don’t think they’ll have to add any expensive components to enable it~~
I bought it from banggood because only they have the blue version in stock haha
Depends, do you really a phone right now? Because the global version won’t come out for a couple more months. The 5g seems like it will be a battery beast, with 600 maH extra and 855. If you care about battery, I’d wait for the 5g one.
Maybe not 👉👌💦💦
Too many emojis 😏
I should probably update my flair 🤔
Also not available until may 🙄
No. I recently got the mix 3
Don’t regret it one bit.
Don’t care about 855
Or 5g
Or bigger battery.
Battery is great
I use a phone for calls, text, reddit and a bit of web browsing
So go with the of mix 3.
Not worth the 100 for 855 and battery in my opinion.
Phones perfect! MIUI is perfect! What’s not to love
Where did you buy it from?
No. The SOC change isn’t that big of a deal. A slightly bigger battery, and a useless 5G modem isn’t worth it. 5G won’t be a reality for anyone for another year, at least. A small part of South Korea is the only place that has 5G until mid 2020.
Yeah, but I reckon since there’s place for this, there’s a bit of space for tightly packed watts, too.
Remember 855 uses less power for same load than 845. It’s not just “Moar faster”
I’m waiting to upgrade my Mix 1 for it.
I take the cameras haven’t been upgraded, right?
Not all mix 1 models were ceramic, only the top model
The regular Mix3 already has wireless charging. Really you’re just getting the 600mAh extra.
Europe? More like 99% of the World.
MI9 has some extra space taken by the fancy fake seethrough part with chips and whatnot.
Because of the challenges with the ceramic. Not sure Xiaomi are sticking to their 5% markup limits on this one
The original Mix was pretty pricey too
855 chipset is so new to me atleast from 821.
Great. I got to test wether or not this thing can fries up birds in the skies as some people claimed it to be.
So 5g is around the corner, we don’t know 5g bands which will be used in our countries either. We can buy Samsung galaxy S10 or mi 9 but then they will age really fast as 5g starts rolling out by the end of this year.
I believe there isn’t a point in investing in flagship phones at the moment.
Let’s hope redmi note 7 pro has good features, is cheap phone, disposable and will easily last a year before upgrading to a fleshed out 5g flagship.
Weird name, why couldn’t they just call it Mi Mix 3s, was expecting a bit more for this price from Xiaomi
Yes
thats your carrier abandoning 3g,not its speed. being bad.
Is it worth canceling my mi mix 3 order to wait for this?
I can hardly load anything when I’m on 3G. Example: when I’m on the Reddit app.
is 3g even irrelevant yet? 10-20mbps is plenty fast for daily usage.
Crazy price jump from previous releases

So not very widespread, wouldn’t you agree?
The only people that have any use for these are people developing 5g technologies and networks, not regular people using it as their daily phone. (Unless they may live at a *very* specific place)
A proper battery upgrade and wireless charging. I am sold. Will wait for it to drop to 400-450 hundred dollars from the likes of Banggood and Gearbest.
Or greater volume efficient battery technology.
I fell in love with the new Mi 9, but sadly it doesn’t come with 5G. I want my new phone to stay relevant for the next 3-4 years and, given that they’ll start rolling out 5G this year, 5G support is now a requirement for me. Is there any prediction that Xiaomi will launch a 5G version of the Mi 9 this year?
Don’t take my word for granted, it’s just a guess.
No THX. Bad experience with Xiaomi so far.

Thiccer phone perhaps?
>MWC19
source?
At MWC19, Xiaomi said that the international Mi 9 will start selling on February 28, first in Europe.
City? More like all of Germany.
I thinking of either OnePlus 7 or Mi Mix 4 in October.
Wait so if you don’t live somewhere with 5g you’re basically getting a better mix 3 more efficient SOC, and bigger battery?
Well it is only the Mix 3 5G not 3s.
And that was quite clear so expecting something else would have been naiv
We don’t even have 5G yet
Awww C’mon make a 4g version for cheaper, but keep the big battery and sd855. I can guarantee you’ll sell at least one… That’s gotta be worth it 😉
