I am using this for a month and I must say this product looks great and does what it is supposed to do. For my complete review please follow this link [https://www.singlewindowtech.com/2019/03/xiaomi-mi-airdots-pro-review.html](https://www.singlewindowtech.com/2019/03/xiaomi-mi-airdots-pro-review.html)
Does anyone know if and when they are going to come in black?
Android >7.0 supports SBC (default), AAC and LDAC natively, also many devices support apt-X and some apt-X HD
Because you haven’t had it for long….
I use the blitzwolf BW-FYE4 and have zero connection issues
Doesn’t support B.T 5.0
Probably not, their English is minimal at best. Doing shipping (reliably) international can get expensive
I had two sets of airdots, both had significant delay. Not only that, but sometimes the left bud would get out of sync, often it would disconnect and not work for many days then suddenly work again. Both sets had this issue. Most cheapo buds I have purchased have similar issues.
Watching a video with them can be fine, but during normal buffering, it would stop playing audio while it buffered therefore delaying the audio and the audio would become more and more out of sync with the video source.
Does your importer ship to the States? I would like to buy it.
I’ve read reviews otherwise. The reviews metion latency for mainly video gamining, but videos ran smooth.
Now imagine a set that you can’t even watch a video with due to latency, or that one bud stops working completely. This is what airdots have been to me
I have the 65t, the left one keeps coming out. Tried multiple tips.
Mines does too but my waist to ear length is too long and I can’t have too many wires/material sticking from my ear/head while working.
No, fortunately my phone still has an audio jack.
I was sent a pair of qcy t1s to review on my YouTube channel. Msrp under 35 bucks (I have a 5 dollar discount but I can’t link/send it here since it’s against the rules) but so far I’ve had them for a week and they are fantastic. Great touch control, better sound quality than the original air dots, much better mic and call quality
Without the stick pointing out of your ear you can’t have good mic/call quality. I’ll take the dorkey design for added function
Can’t search right now, but your music player doesn’t send the music file directly to the system, it has to be decoded, sometimes processed and then re-encoded by the system to whatever device you are listening on.
Oh I didn’t know that. Can you give me more info with a source on that? I’d love to learn more about it
Actually, you still have to re-encode the sound, even if you play AAC. I see this written everywhere, and it’s wrong.
How much and is it perspiration proof?
Is there a wireless earbud you like/use?
Yeah
Ohh okay, thanks for the info. They still look interesting, they are cheap and it’s design is good
Thank you for clarifying!
Absolutely false. You’ve clearly not tried the hybrid pro 2.
The information in that link is incorrect. See my edited post for source.
Thanks for pointing it out. The information in that link is incorrect – I don’t blame the author because Xiaomi is trying to make you think the earphones can last 10 hours when in reality it requires putting the earphones back into the case for charging.
See my edited post for source.
How do you know this? It says “10 hours of continuous use” . Having to put it back in the case is not considered continuous.
Only if you turn the music up, this also happens for any earphone/bud/headphone etc. If you have it too loud, it can cause permanent hearing damage. This is common sense though. It’s true that open ended headphones and open earbuds are more prone to people doing this as outside noise makes them want to turn the volume up higher.
There is more evidence that creating a seal over your inner ear for long periods can cause more problems due to there being no way for your body to move the moisture in your ear around, which you may notice as your inner ears become very moist after long listening sessions.
I have seen studies prove that they are bad for you since they don’t seal the air and you have to turn up the volume to hear which if course will cause nerve damage on the long run .
To each thier own I guess .¯\\\_(ツ)\_/¯
Airpods aren’t garbage at all. They aren’t inner ear and they are the biggest selling bt earbuds, so I would say most people buy non inner ear
I don’t see why anyone would expect audio quality out of something that is basically wireless earpods. Let alone buying it for that.
Its selling point is convenience and features.
F no air buds are garbage , who buys none in ear headphones in 2019 ?
I will check out the Huawei one.
So AirPods
To be honest I can’t recommend any of the cheap ones. They have all had issues in my experience. I had a pair of QCY 29 for a few months that worked really well, but now has the common cheap BT earbud issue of one bud getting out of sync or not working. The airdots worked well for a few weeks before latency and connection issues kicked in for me. It’s really up to you and how much you want to spend. If the airpods suit your application (not in ear, style etc) then they are worth the money. If you need in ear then perhaps look at the Huawei buds or even anker liberty true wireless which I have heard great things about.
For me the best earbuds have been bose soundsport wireless. Although I think they look worse than airpods 🙁
Do you recommend any one with good performance to price ratio ?
For my airdots youth I paid 1,000,000 dong which is approximately 44usd. Not bad considering if I bought them locally in America they would be 35 bucks plus taxes
As far as I know none, but there is a very big reason for this, it’s nearly impossible to retain connection quality through two entirely separate devices acting as a single device with split audio (stereo/mic). I guess we will see how this turns out. If all you are doing is using them to make calls then yes for sure this would be great for you.

Vietnam
We’re you asking my price after I get them in Vietnam or msrp
Yes, exactly. I usual only use on earbud at a time so it’s important that each can independently connect to my phone. A nice side effect is quasi doubled battery life.
They won’t happen for a while. A spent a lot of cheap buds before I decided to just buy good ones. Now I’m spending far more on a collection but that’s because I’m stupid.
Define independent, you want one to be off and the other to be on? As in you only want a single pod in your ear and the other in the case?
100%. Although they are cheap, in my opinion it’s a waste of money, especially if people are looking for quality sound etc.
Seems to solve the battery issue that kept me from buying the originals. If they do actually run 5 plus hours on one charge then they’re worth a shot
Totally agree.
Seriously. I don’t understand why these have to look so much like Airpods. I don’t like the design with the stick sticking out of my ear. Original Airdots design look great and reduces your chances of accidentally bumping them out of your ears.
These look so ugly, it looks like someone stuck a toothbrush head in their ear.
True still trying to find a good air buds for cheap.
Okay, please link me proper in-ears that work independently from each other and are truely wireless. I haven’t found them yet. Bonus points if they are somewhat compact and not huge boxes sticking out of your ear.
I would have loved to get the EARIN ones but reviews say the bluetooth is crap which isn’t ideal for wireless earbuds.
It doesn’t, but it’s quite an improvement over the BT 4.0 earbuds around.
Interestingly, quiet time at home is where I dislike the AirPods. They’re great for when you’re out-and-about but still want to hear a bit of your surroundings. I liked them while working underneath my car, walking around town, and at the office. But if I’m home, that’s where a good set of closed back headphones get to shine.
You’re not wrong about the concerns over connectivity though. Those AirPods were bulletproof on that front, even compared to my Zolo Liberty+. A bigger concern with all of these is the tendency for issues to arise involving both earbuds maintaining the same volume capability over time. Seems to be a common issue, even for a few Airpods owners (albeit rare). Happened more quickly with a few of the cheap ones I have on-hand.
Order the airdots Nov 111 and still havent got them. Gearbest been useless and keeps telling me its “coming”. Not even sure they shipped it out.
It’s not even the look of the case. The major selling point of the airpods is now incredibly user friendly and robust the BT connection is. Any other of these wireless stereo BT earbuds never “just work”. That’s the benefit of apple having the ability to design SoCs in house.
BT 5.0 do not guarantee connection quality or reliability unfortunately.
I don’t like the airpods that much, they are great for casual listening in quiet environments, but i’m telling you that you can’t get better quality connection and reliability. I waste sooooo much money on earbuds – don’t ask me why – and ALL the cheap ones have connection issues, latency issues etc. I mean I had the midots for a week, and the left bud stopped connecting entirely. My replacements had latency between the left and the right pod lol. I know the price is very different, but just be aware you could be wasting the money on cheap buds, I bought 4 cheap buds before I bought airpods.
Everyone is saying i10 TWS sounds as good as Airpods but battery life is not as good.
Where would I order these to ship to us?
I’ve been wanting wireless headphones for ages.
Zolo by Anker had to move to Bluetooth 5.0 in order to get the connection reliable enough for dependable usage. The Mi AirDots Pro seem to use Bluetooth 5.0 so it may work out well.
I had a week with Airpods and haven’t been able to find a satisfactory alternative with an open design (I like hearing my surroundings). I just can’t stomach the price for the Airpods.
Why so ugly? The original AirDots looks better!
wow
Jabra? Huawei? Bose? All great inner ear buds. All will be much better too.
I have midots, Jabra 65t, Bose true wireless fit, a bunch of tws buds, airpods. Airpods will be better, but for sure not everyone wants to spend so much so there are cheap buds for that. They will not be as good, but hopefully will be better than midots.
Cheap buds you won’t even notice the difference
Airpodders are salty creatures. 😂
The writing on this article is so fucking bad. They hired a chinese dude that couldn’t speak proper english?
Xiaomi headphones are usually pretty great. I only get something similar for triple the price.
Still have half the battery life, and still looks like dental floss case. They are cheaper buds and made by Xiaomi so will definitely have all the latency and connection problems my midots have, along with all the other cheap buds. Heck, even my Jabra 65t has connection issues, it’s the one thing that airpods have over all others, battery life and connection quality.
*The Mi AirDots Pro can run for 10 hours of continuous use and also features fast charging and Xiaomi claims 1 hour for a full charge.*
I quoted this, it’s from the link he has provided
Might wanna do some reading before you make stupid statements like that.
Read the article.
Better how? They have half the battery life, are copying A 4 year old device and will have all the connectivity and latency issues of midots
They don’t fit my ears. Either they fall out or I have to really push them in but then they hurt me. I need proper in-ears. But even if they would fit I probably wouldn’t spend 200€ on them. They’re just not worth that kind of money.
You mean better and less expensive.
GearBest
The shape isn’t different. Apple just doesn’t make black AirPods.
Why not buy the air pods then? They’ve been out for years
Using cheap ear buds you will not notice a thing.
So they look like the air pods, but are worse?
Now people can flex for cheap
https://www.gearbest.com/blog/new-gear/challenging-the-airpods-xiaomi-mi-airdots-bluetooth-earphone-sells-for-only-4399-3190
Also look like toothbrushes again
>The Apple ripoff design has me sold on the black ones.
The shape is totally different?
I have the Airpods and these look nothing like it. This “cable tube” is used for the antenna and every single cable earbud has one. So how is that an apple ripoff?
Matte black would be best, especially considering all the actual AirPod knockoffs have that ugly glossy black plastic look to them.
Yeah, they’re fine in black. I hope they’ll come soon. They might even be matte black from the pictures I’ve seen, which would be pretty cool.
no, but aptX is proprietary and supported only on ‘certified’ devices while AAC should work with anything on or above Android Oreo / iOS.
I’ve also found that my IEMs are too loud due to their low impedance, so I wish I could add more volume steps in android without root.
I’m positive the AirDots Lite don’t have LDAC.
Yes
$60
The Apple ripoff design has me sold on the black ones. I will not buy these unless they’re black.
> Both the right and left can function freely of each other providing a true hassle-free sound experience. Remove any single one from the ear and the second one will work in unilateral mode…
That’s the main thing that kept me from buying wireless IEMs. I almost exclusively use only one earbud at a time so the AirDots Pro might actually make me switch. Although I’m not a fan of the white color and the Apple ripoff design.
For what price ?
I’m pretty sure Android 8.0+ supports AAC by default. Your device should default to the best codec available, so having both aptX and AAC won’t hurt, because you’ll have better chances of higher quality audio on a wider range of devices.
So it’s useless for Android users ?
Not necessarily, but it’s generally better if you’re in the Apple ecosystem, because iOS and Mac can use AAC (on your average Android device aptX is usually more common), and it’s even more interesting if you use Apple Music or AAC files (up to 250kbps) because at that point you’re not doing an additional lossy compression when sending the music to the headphones.
Usbc?
I would still go with airdots youth for ldac.
Is AAC better than aptx ? Or just something different? (Don’t know much about audio stuff)
Hope they’ll be sold soon enough in EU.
>10 hr battery
Note that the 10 hr battery refers to the *case*. The case can provide 10 hr of battery to the earphones. The earphones themselves can at most run for 3 hours with a full charge.
Edit:
Source is [Xiaomi’s official website](https://item.mi.com/product/9209.html) (in Chinese) – see in particular [this photo](https://cdn.cnbj0.fds.api.mi-img.com/b2c-mimall-media/1d63a0021366390eccca8e236829ba8e.jpg). [This translation](https://www.iclarified.com/69006/xiaomi-announces-mi-airdots-pro-a-60-clone-of-apples-airpods) appears to be most accurate:
>Battery life is estimated at 3 hours for single use with the case providing a total of 10 hours. Fast charging is supported but a full charge takes one hour.
Having read this translation, it seems that the case actually provides *less* than 10 hrs of battery. The earphones and the case combined provides 10 hrs of battery – so that effectively means 3 hrs from the earphones and 7 hrs from the case.
Impedance in something like this gives no indication of how bassy they will be. If anything higher impedance is a good thing because more power is needed for them to drive to their potential.
To clarify, these go on sale on china on the 11th, they are stated to release worldwide but i don’t expect them being available everywhere on the 11th. That said, I can get most xiaomi products 4-5 days after they launch in china through my importer in Hanoi. I’m hoping to have them in hand a review online by January 15th
Not at the moment though
TL;DR: $60, 10 hr battery, 1hr charge, sales start on Jan 11th
I hope they also come in black
If they truly have AAC codec support and both are actually independent (not just the right one with the left being secondary) they are actually interesting and not yet another attempt at truly wireless buds
This earphone design always reminds me of the semen scene in the movie Something about Mary.
