Xiaomi 15U Photography Kit Firmware update issue

Hi anyone having an issue updating the firmware for the photography kit? I have the global version 15u with firmware 2.0.103.0VOAMIXM. I could not update the firmware for photography kit. Update icon showing but when I click on it, I get the message could not update. Tried it over couple of days on both wifi and cellular. Any idea?

    Are you sure you have the global model phone? In your firmware the MI means CN version.

    Are you on a VPN have a DNS setup? I was able to update my firmware for the kit on the same global firmware.

    I have received an official response from Xiaomi.
    This issue is caused by the latest firmware for the phone.
    Xiaomi plans to resolve this issue in mid-May…

    Thank you very much. Xiaomi Malaysia support just told me to wait for next update. Geez, pretty poor of them. Sounds like next update will be in mid may then.

    Hi, had the same issue that grip not able to upgrade firmware and was told by Mi Spore service CTR that the grip faulty need replacement. So is not firmware related.

    Interesting, seems like we were getting conflicting message from Xiaomi support and service centre. Were you able to get a replacement immediately?

    Ok to close this out. I received the firmware update today for the global version 2.0.105.0VOAMIXM and good news, this update has resolved the issue of my camera grip not being able to be updated. Good stuff and happy that it is not a hardware issue.

    Update just dropped.to .105 and the camera grip updated just fine after the system update.
