Ah that makes sense. I don’t think the China rom ever had that feature since they don’t use Google out there as their default.

No idea. Chinese phones have really slow updates for global devices.
Xiaomi.Eu is good, the experience is between China and Global, but my experience with the Rom it drains faster than china and global. And sometimes the UI feels heavier. Based on my experience that’s why i stick to stock rom after using it.
No global is usually behind alot from China. The AOD should work no? There’s a setting that sets the AOD to display always.

how did u unlock ur bootloader? through xiaomi community app? it just not working for me. also all banking apps working on EU ROM?
I paid to unlock the bootloader using ncunlock, because the community app didn’t work for me anymore.
Banking apps and Google pay works fine with the eu rom.
They are much older in version
It should have be MENTIONED that its custom rom based on the chinese one!! Its not an official rom from Xiaomi!! Someone might not notice it…
The only downside to this search bar is not being able to pick up installed apps when you search for them, this has been a bug in xiaomi.eu for as long as I can remember.
I haven’t tested it yet. I will later once it gets darker.
Nono, Xiaomi EU is a custom rom based off of the China rom. The Global rom which you have won’t have some features that the China rom has.
Xiaomi EU rom bridges that so if you install it on your phone, you get the latest features from the China rom that you are missing on your Global device.

Honestly, I’ve been using this design for a while now. One of the benefits of removing the bottom search bar is that it lets you use a 4×7 layout, which isn’t possible otherwise.

Basically they take the Xiaomi 15 CN rom, translate the Chinese characters to English, remove all the bloatware and add support for Google.
So you’re getting all the features that Xiaomi releases in China but translated and working on the global device.
Global is usually last when it comes to the latest features. I installed the rom because I wanted the latest features from the China rom on my global device.

You can. By default it uses the Google search bar, but if you install the global search by heytap from apkmirror you can change it to that search type.

Yeah there’s always some negatives to roms. For 99% of users who don’t care to tinker, I wouldn’t recommend roms to them. The best experience is usually with stock, but for me I just enjoy trying the latest software features.

It’s tenically based off the official Chinese rom. Just translated and removed Chinese bloatware / ads.

Not that I’ve tested. I used this device in the US and over seas internationally.
I didn’t run into any issues with banking, Google pay or WhatsApp.
All google stuff works with their Google module fix.
I had to Google the version number to get the details. Usually it’s from weibo or other forums that manage these roms.

Yea that doesn’t work. If you cover the front camera the aod goes off. Like in pitch black. Mine goes off after 5 mins. Not sure why 😕
