Off the charger around 7:00 am Saturday morning. Around 5.5 hours of screen time on Saturday (6 hours of actual use) and went to bed with 49%. Started Sunday at 45% around 8 am. 3.5 hours of screen time (4.5 hours of actual use) until 7:30 pm. Set battery saver to turn on at below 20% as my typical use.
The graph shows from 90% because I tried a new magnetic case for charging and it was right around 90% so it fumbled the overall time. Add around 1.5 hours between 100% to 90%.
More than good enough for me. I think the battery has finally stabilized after a month. Cue the silly battery life remaining bug.
Thanks! Unfortunately I have the EU rom and it has been consistently showing 3,5 hours over the past month that I used and tested both phones. With light usage I get max 4h of SOT
I’m in the first week of ownership and the battery of the 15U is amazing! Easily 9 hours of SOT so far.
Very strange. Watch movie on 5g for an hour. Battery dropped 10%. Check battery usage, restrict batyery usage for offenders
Yeah I do have the Ultra but I’ve seen samples of the regular 15 and it also looks really good! I’ve liked Leica style since using the Huawei P30 Pro so it’s something that pulled me to Xiaomi. If Huawei still had Google services, I would have stayed with them.
Global version running 2.0.105 VOAMIXM. Yes, 5G was used a few times. Where the graph drops more sharply is when I left the house to run errands.
I think it takes quite a bit of tinkering with the battery settings, how often you use the Security app to optimize the phone because some apps decide to auto start even if you don’t open them and so forth. This has not affected my notifications though as they still show up on time.
First week I was getting around your screen time but now I’m averaging about 5-6 hours on a heavy day with significant camera use, or 7-8 hours with light/moderate use.
If I may ask, which firmware version are you on? Is it the global version? And did you use 5G in the meantime or only WiFi? Because I have two X15U’s currently that I cannot push above the 3,5h SOT mark.
I was thinking about p9p, but got Xiaomi (my first Xiaomi phone btw) because of Pixels software issues. It has a lot actually. The part about the camera is more about ultra I think. Overall photo quality on pixel is better than on my 15, but main camera is greatt, I think it beats all those pixels 🙂
Can’t comment on the Steam app, but the 60 Hz YouTube is a HyperOS bug I believe. You can set the refresh to stay at 120 Hz (or whatever your higher setting is) and YouTube will be rendered in that way. It’s the auto setting that doesn’t identify it correctly.
My mom has a Pixel 8 Pro. I’d say it’s more stable software wise but somehow nowhere near as smooth as the Xiaomi. Camera also gets blown pretty much out of the water. If I didn’t care about something different and unique, may have gotten the Pixel 9 Pro.
Previously I had a Google pixel 8 pro, it just worked fine 🙂
Until I broke it ofc
Also, for some reason it thinks that the steam app is a game. And in some apps like YouTube it’s 60hz, idk how to fix that
I’ve noticed that sometimes, apps seems to start even if they aren’t set to auto start. I’d check that.
I’d say my battery kept improving until about now where a moderate-heavy use lasts a full typical work day and lighter use about a day and half.
Asked because on my xiaomi 15 it feels like battery life dropped after first ~2 weeks
Bought it on the last week of March. Just over a month of use.
How long do you use this phone? Like when did you buy it?
