The edges of the screen dont register, or if they do, they are delayed. Does anybody know if there is a fix for this? This is my 3rd Xiaomi 15 and all of them had this issue, so its not possible to be a defect.

I have tried on my 15U as well and no issue with registering touches on the edge. Tried on both gboard a lnd swift keyboard.

Can’t test it that much because of my tempered glass, but unless I can feel I’m out of the display it registers my touch always.
The Xiaomi 15 isnt even curved, so thats not an argument anyways

Maybe it’s because of the gesture navigation? Try switching to 3 button navigation and see if it’s the same case. If yes then there’s probably something ain’t right.

People are genuinely trying to help you, stop being so aggressive imo. If you have the money for a 15 then you can probably switch to another brand/phone. Buy what works for you, if it doesn’t work well for you then you can consider other options, don’t go around saying people are Xiaomi glazers just because they are trying to help you solve this (weren’t you the one asking for help?), this is a Xiaomi sub anyways.
It’s working on mine, invert the phone and see if it still occurs. Use Xiaomi internal diagnosis and check touch sensitivity and dead pixels.

No issues for me as well.
Try cleaning the area with a glasses cloth it works for me on 11T Pro when I get the same problem with touch response in the corners of the screen.

Well I tested on my but honestly I don’t see an issue on it… I think its to prevent accidental touching. I use stock keyboard and no issues at all.

Yep, and typing with a delay every couple of seconds is infuriating. Sometimes the letters dont register at all, and you just look like an idiot.

All Oneplus devices have the same exact issue, so a no for me.
Iphones are trash.
Pixels are just terrible all around.
Xiaomi has a couple of issues, but the delay one is the only thing that was a dealbreaker.
Samsung has great software, but meh hardware. The S25 Ultra and the S25 plus heat up so much its crazy, their screens are still grainy on low brightness, and they have banding bc of the 8 bit screen.
And ngl, im just not getting a Motorola in 2025.

It’s not a hardware issue, it’s Hyper OS. Xiaomi hasn’t implemented the settings to customize the thickness of the margins, maybe disabling pocket mode will solve it?

I have a Xiaomi 13 and I’ve tried the same thing but it responds well. Is this problem really preventing you from typing? The only way I can think of is to report it and wait for it to be resolved.

Samsung is not that bad actually. They offer way more customisability than xiaomi. I hate samsung too but as of now they’re quite better.
As far as I know the motorola curved screen doesn’t have these issues.

This. On my 14 pro there’s an option to set a custom area near the sides where touch will be ignored. Not sure if it’s in the global variants of hyper os 2

Have you gone to Additional Settings -> Accessibility -> Ignore accidental touches on the edges and turned that as low as possible?
Just tried it myself and it doesn’t seem to do much, I guess the curved part just might not be touch sensitive.
man just get a samsung with one ui 7, i’ve had problems with 3 xiaomi and redmi decices already, all hardware issues and software issues, broken earpiece in 2 months, broken charging port in 1 year, broken mic in 1 year, boot looping, while my past samsung devices never failed, speaking from experience, my galaxy s2 still boots (yes, s2 from 2011), j7 prime, a32, all still works without any issue

Oneplus has the same shit, Iphones are ass anyways, Pixels have a terrible chip, and slow charging, Xiaomi has that issue, and smearing, and bc the Vivo x200 pro is curved, im scared that it will have the edge delay issue aswell. You’re using gesture navigation, like me. It may have accidentally registered as a back gesture.
It happened on my Mi 11 Lite 5G on custom HyperOs 2.2. I just restarted my phone and it’s gone. I just don’t know if restarting will fix yours.

After my test, it’s like that because in hyperos, you still have the “back gesture” on the side of the keyboard, so basically you are touching the “back gesture”, meanwhile on other os like oneui or aosp, when the keyboard appear, there will be no “back gesture” on the side of the keyboard. This is also one reason I hate hyper os, I normally type with “swipe feature”, in other os, I had no problem, but in hyper os, I can easily get an accidental “go back” because some words need to start from the edge, like “point” for example.
