Hey everyone,
I recently got the Xiaomi 15 and I’m noticing some weird behavior. During normal usage (social media, browsing, no gaming), the phone heats up to around 42°C, and the battery drains pretty fast. No background heavy apps running either.
Is anyone else facing this issue? Is this normal for the Xiaomi 15 or should I be worried? Would appreciate any insights or suggestions.
Temperature seems normal but battery drain means you have more background processes running than you thought.
Check out ‘running drives’ pages in developer options to see what’s running.
I’m not having this issue with mine.
How recently? It sounds about normal for the first week or so.
It heats up while using Google maps and recording videos, but not as hot as 42°C.probably 38 or 40°. While playing games like CODM it’s around 39 to 40 depending on the amount of time I spend playing.
It’s normal use for instagram 🫥
While browsing on any app the battery does have a significant drain with direct sunlight. About 4% in 10-12 mins of use.
Heating is normal, and very normal to heat up easily on Compact phones like Xiaomi 15.
Yes my phone does get warm, but only for charging. And sometimes it might get a bit hot, during long gaming periods. If you want more insights on this you can look further down, where I’d made a post about this. There’s a lot of feedback and comments on it.
This is usually normal, however for general use, there should be pretty much no warming up etc.

Same here. Xiaomi 15 Ultra
My xiaomi 15 heats up randomly. 1 time I play a game (gun club 2), it was so hot that I couldn’t even touch the barrel. IDk if i’m having a battery drain but I enabled battery protection so maximum battery charge up to 80% only and it isn’t very impressed. I did disable a lot of services in the system (like print, google search device, …)
I have the exact same problem. It worked well for 3 weeks and then it heats up and the battery melts like snow…. Nothing to do with my s20fe which worked well for 4 years.
Same issue with mine. Does tech support help?
