Same on X14U and X15U
Why y’all buying photography phones if you don’t know the basics of how cameras work
I know that but it’s difficult to get good pictures. On my old S7, the pictures are clear on the sides, never on x14u…
I don’t know why all the Xiaomi phones do this
Yeah cus it has bigger sensors no shit
Yes of course… But try to take clear images with text is weird…
Of course.. If you want zero blur and your main wide cam has a big sensor, then use the ultra wide, zoom or buy an old phone that is going to give you a main cam with grainy but no blur on close up pictures 🤨
That’s just camera optics, do some research and you’ll understand. This is a flower picture using 3x zoom:

Because they have big sensors. You need to use cameras with smaller sensors (lower quality), like ultra wide or zoom), so that they don’t blur when on close ups
This people don’t even know that current flagship phones such as 14 or 15 ultra has large sensor. This sensors produce natural shallow depth of field called bokeh effect which gives natural blurred background.
Because physics. large sensors complemented with large apperture produce shallow DoF, which also means the focus plane will be narrower.
solution? use smaller sensor like in UW or Telephoto, or just step back a bit and then crop/digi zoom it (there’s a reason why the sensor have 50MP). You can’t just beat physics.
Bro complain because the phone had Bokeh… a thing which only pro camera had in the past
I agree with all of you: big sensor + wide aperture = shallow depth of field. But what I don’t understand is why the edges become so blurry. I’m not a photography newbie, so normally everything that’s on the same plane should be sharp. So when I take a straight-on photo of a nameplate, I don’t get why the edge sharpness drops off so much. It’s true that this mainly happens with close-up shots, but honestly, I don’t find that optically impressive.
I’m mainly using the main camera (15U) with the large sensor because I like it best — and obviously, stopping down the aperture isn’t really an option.
