I just upgraded from my redmi note 13 pro to xiaomi 14T and the only thing I notice that is an upgrade is the camera. It has a 75mm zoom lens… I think it’s optical because it looks fantastic. And the video settings are too advanced for my knowledge.
Does anyone else have this phone? Should I expect anything other can bump up on the camera?
Then why do you call it a floating point lens instead of just saying macro? It would make more sense, wouldn’t it?
Oh, OK… I wasn’t aware… That’s still cool. Where can I get more precise info like this?
Yep so? I advised based on my and my family experience pro variants are apparently more durable and i believe worth the extra money if you’re going to buy Xiaomi
I think the whole mechanism is not different, it’s just that the lenses moving are usually on the edges, while in a floating it’s in the center.
a lens in a phone has many lenses inside.
if you look at the mechanism inside, they look different
the floating has one lens like at the center that’s moving.

Really have to utilise the 50+50 it offers.
It’s perfect with Leica Vivid

But that’s exactly how lens focusing works..
Ok I’ll take a look on YouTube re: AI features. I have a much older Xiaomi I’m looking to upgrade
some lenses inside the lens are floating.
it’s a 60mm floating Telephoto lens, which is why it take stunning pictures.
75mm is hybrid Optical+Digital.
Why is it called floating?
from knowledgeable assholes in Telegram groups.
trust me when I say, it’s not worth it, I was learning a lot from them but just left.
I’m thinking of getting the 14T. To those that own the phone, how do you like it?
I appreciate it, and I’ll consider spending extra for the 14T Pro!
that’s absolutely not true, a floating lens makes the minimum focus distance much closer (for Macro), with a very intense background separation.
So far, I’m still learning. I haven’t seen much difference between this one and my ex redmi note 13 pro, which I gave to my gf, i had it for 4 months and decided to upgrade.
The jump is in the camera and the Ai, from what I’ve noticed so far.
Ah.. I thought it was called autofocus
Ok I have a non pro version and it’s lasted nearly five years!
So they said to add more words to their advertisement
Nice
In my experience from quite a number of Xiaomi phones from my family too i do not suggest getting non pro variant of any xiaomi phone to avoid getting poor build quality
