Ive been using the phone for a couple of days now, ans its great, BUT it has a lot of purple smearing when scrolling. My s25 ultra doesnt have that issue, is there any way to fix it?.Turn your brightness down go to the settings and just scroll up and down youll see what i mean, or on social media, there just purple smearing when scrolling
Could be depending on the app. Does it happen for all apps?
Side note. I’m pulling for zani 🫡
No its not normal. Out of 25 different phones ive tested in the last year, this is the first to have that
If a phone that cost $1500 has a visual issue, that other phones dont have, how am i spoiled? Youre literally just a mindless glazer, that cant take it when something negative comes out about your favourite company. It does effect something. It effects my enjoyment when using the phone, i want a clean screen, that shows me what i want to see, and not purple smearing in my images and text when scrolling. A oneplus 13 is also a 120hz oled screen, a s25 ultra is also a 120hz oled screen, the iphone 16pm also uses a 120hz oled screen. Those phones still dont have that issue.
I have just recievd my x15u and have also my x14u. I will test that. I have noticed another issue with my polarized sunglasses. On my x14u, colors are good but in the new x15u, rainbows appears! The polarization isn’t the same, very annoyed! If someone can say that only the protect film the problem or the screen ?
Help me how this happened??????!!!!!!X15pro just broke screen protection this thursday in morning after got in bus, can I replace and is this pre-installed film or a tempered glass 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
> lying
> Xiaomi glazer
Nice fanfiction
I have checked S23U, S24U (tw import), S24fe, A54, A55, A34, a36, the endless AMOLED lower tier Xiaomi, Poco and oppo phones, 14t/pro, edge 50.
Literally all of them exhibited it to varying, and I spent a good hour laughing about it over beer with a friend that got a tw 24u in 2024. He didn’t see it until I pointed it out to him.
There is a test pattern gif for this that is a light purple square moving inside a dark purple square that I got off Twitter but I can’t find it atm, and I stopped doing this in stores half a year ago because invariably all screens did this. Although Samsung manufactured AMOLEDs usually did slightly better than CSOT. On the other hand Samsung panels have bad off axis pinkish polarizer tint when brightly lit

Happens in mine too, jbg
Well then you don’t notice it, it’s there anyway. I don’t understand why it’s such a big deal to you.

Youre literally just lying for no reason. I have the Xiaomi 15 ultra, the s25 plus and the s25 ultra at home right now, and those two dont have that issue. Yall Xiaomi glazers are actually so insecure about your favourite company, its actually crazy.
I don’t use dark mode either, but that’s just what my eyes have adjusted to.
Does the other phones you tested this also get as dim as this phone?
It doesnt happen on my s25u
I think you need to do it on coloured images against a true black background (where the leds actually turn off).
I have the s25+ and the s25u at home and i can literally prove that they dont have that shit lmao. And if they have it under a microscope, why would anyone care if its not visible for humans. The xiamoi 15 ultra literally bleeds into images when scrolling.
That’s normal it happens to every phone you dont have to overthink abt it
Yes they do you just don’t notice it
I know that monitors can have that, but how can a $1500 phone have that, while there are $200 phones that dont
I see.
Must be the TCL panel then
It also depends on the app you are using. If the background is pure black/amoled black then the smearing will be much more noticable. If your app has a setting for using very dark gray instead of amoled black for the background it will greatly reduce the smearing.
As a separate answer – know of course I have it at low brightness when in the dark, and I get some purple smearing. However rive had similar from multiple other phones (whilst also not getting it on multiple other phones).
I have tested rapidly my x15u and my x14u. There is blur effect when scrolling on both phones. I haven’t noticed particurlay purple blur ?
Thats normal with OLED displays on low brightness.
happens on all OLED panels
Guess I’ll go to the store on the weekend and check
Never at 100% nor below 20% below it actually hurt my eyes
25 different phones in a year claim in itself brings doubt.
Yeah it happens on all apps unfortunately.
Good luck with your pulls and may god bless your 50/50 bro ive been waiting for her since 2.0 and her gameplay looks great
Why did you post this twice about 15 minutes apart? [https://www.reddit.com/r/XiaomiGlobal/comments/1jr0y2q/wtf\_is\_wrong\_with\_the\_xiaomi\_15\_ultra\_screen/](https://www.reddit.com/r/XiaomiGlobal/comments/1jr0y2q/wtf_is_wrong_with_the_xiaomi_15_ultra_screen/) and 2 days ago [https://www.reddit.com/r/XiaomiGlobal/comments/1jp14w8/xiaomi\_15\_ultra\_screen\_issue/](https://www.reddit.com/r/XiaomiGlobal/comments/1jp14w8/xiaomi_15_ultra_screen_issue/)
“literally literally literal literally” .. Are you 14?
EVERY SINGLE OLED DOES IT. You’re just mad about something and we don’t really care what that is. Why don’t you take it to Xiaomi and claim warranty?
I don’t believe you. Every single AMOLED phone I have tried so far smeared on the test pattern to varying degrees.
Wtf, why is it going up and down?
I’m not talking about phones, I’m talking about screens. These types of screens sometimes (not always) suffer from ghosting, which is that effect that occurs.
Try to change 60hz or turn a White Theme. Its a normal issue on Oled panels
Had same thing on Samsung s22 and oppo find n3. It’s just oled
I couldnt care less about what you think tbh. On my reddit profile you can see how many different phones ive tested, and i find pros and cons for every phone, because tech is my biggest hobby.
1. My favorite company is Valve, not Xiaomi
2. If you can’t take a little purple on minimal brightness that you can’t even see for more than a fraction of a second, it’s your problem, and yes you ARE spoiled
Looking at a screen with a dark room is bad for the eyes, no matter the brightness. Get a smart Xiaomi bulb and you can automatically turn it off when you actually stop using your phone.
Normal OLED at low brightness, it’s normal..

No its not. My s25 ultra my s25 plus my oneplus 13 and my iphone 16pm dont do that
Help me how this happened??????!!!!!!X15pro just broke screen protection this thursday in morning after got in bus, can I replace and is this pre-installed film or a tempered glass 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Yeah, especially when its a $1500 phonr
Your eyes are either already fried or to be fried soon. Actual vision damage.
Go to where you bought it from and ask if warranty covers it, if it does then get it replaced and hope that it was just a bad display and doesn’t happen on the new one too. I personally rarely notice it on mine and it doesn’t bother me
So you and the people you know use their phone at 100% brightness in bed?
what color scheme do you use: Original color PRO, Vivid, Saturated, Advanced? Do you have adaptive colors enabled? Did you change the color temperature at the bottom at all?
Return it if you don’t like oled behaviour.
Most OLED panels are pretty bad when dealing with low brightness.
Samsungs panels get weird grey grain at low brightness, some deal with dark colors poorly.
I’m not sure if you got unlucky or not, but it is annoying.
No, they dont. I literally just told you, that my other phones dont
No, youre literally just lying for no reason. I literally said in my comment, that my s25 ultra and s25 plus dont do that. Stop defending things that are bad buddy.
Mines always at 70-80% fixed brightness, including in bed. As for the others, I wouldn’t know how they go about their brightness settings when in bed. Just that I know that they use high brightness a lot of the time.
No its not
Have you tried reaching out to the customer service?
No, it is not normal. Out of 25 phones ive tested this is the only one to have it
You probably won’t get any useful answers here. This place only exists to defend xiaomi and downvote anyone facing issues.
i think it’s oled “ghosting” issue which was common when oled was new to the mobile market. Even oneplus forums have reported a similar issue but that’s with their midrange device. Seeing it on a 2025 top tier flagship is definitely disappointing.
Okay, but it shouldnt happen.
I saw another post similar to this like a day ago. The answer that I believe is that purple smearing is prominent on a lot of oled panels – particularly at low brightness. Shouldn’t have any smearing at higher brightnesses though.
Your screen is already a 120HZ 3.2K 68 billion color OLED panel. It IS good, maybe you’re just a little spoiled with all the hundreds of thousands phones you said you owned. And that’s a minor side effect of OLED screens, which literally affects NOTHING.
Lil iPad kid got so mad he decided to use reaction images bc he can’t keep up with an educated argument https://preview.redd.it/5y4ichkzyvse1.jpeg?width=307&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=420c3bb68c16d5639164bbe8001727dd9ae16a8a
Wouldn’t know. Perhaps they went with it to balance out the costs of the upgraded camera, or they just went with it based off the assumption that most users won’t use their phones at such a low brightness for the smearing to show up. I personally don’t know anyone that uses their phone at such low brightnesses.
X15pro just broke screen protection this thursday in morning after got in bus, can I replace and is this pre-installed film or a tempered glass 😭
I have an iPhone 13 Pro Max that does the same thing
This phone doesnt come close to being as dim as the s25 ultra
What exactly are you trying to prove here? You realise this isn’t Xiaomi customer service, right? You’re going to get nothing by acting rude here. Also, you’re either lying or are clueless. There’s no OLED panel in existence that DOESN’T do this at very low brightness. It’s technically impossible as of now.
All OLEDs do that…
Ive used 25 different phones in the last couple of months from 200-2000 dollars and none had it other than this one. And also why would a $1500 have a panel like that?
Send it back to warranty , I don’t get this on mine
Are you a child? What they said is absolutely true. It’s a function of OLED’s relatively lower pixel response rate. This happens on every single OLED panel out there. It’s nothing new.
Happens to my samsung too
wow??????!!!!!!X15pro just broke screen protection this thursday in morning after got in bus, can I replace and is this pre-installed film or a tempered glass 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
This is you

Thats insane
He is probably a Sales Rep. His bizarre attitude would suggest so.
Genuinely sybau. Sucking off Xiaomi, and lying for no reason on their behalf, literally doesnt benefit you at all.
you’re insane
Stfu you brainless glazer. Its not oled behaviour, its cheap oled behaviour. If other phones dont have it, there is no reason for this phone to have it.
Because OP is scrolling
I dont recall asking
Its the same, no matter what settings i use
Nothing. That’s how screens work
Before I went ahead and read comments, I knew this is already a normal thing for AMOLED/OLED. Though not all oled have that due to the quality of oled panels being used and due to mass production of screen panels. You also include which panel part your phone has to get on the production phase, out of the big chunk of oled panels. It is normal when your phone have it, it is also normal when your other phones do not have it. Go ahead and use the warranty, ask for a replacement or return it and purchase a new one.
It doesnt matter what app im in. If other phones dont have it no matter the app, this phone also shouldnt have it.
So calling me spoiled, for complaining about flaws on a $1500 dollar phone is educated now? Insulting someone isnt educating anything.
I’ve noticed this on quite a few phones. It also happens on my S25 Ultra but not as noticeable.
If its not visible for the human eye, why would i care? The point is the Xiaomi 15 ultra has this visible display issue, while other phones dont. And also why is it such a big deal? Maybe because i expect a good screen on my $1500 phone? Wtf even is that question.
how this happened??????!!!!!!X15pro just broke screen protection this thursday in morning after got in bus, can I replace and is this pre-installed film or a tempered glass 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
No, it is not being spoiled. Its called having standards. If a phone costs $1500 and they cheap out on the display, while cheaper phones dont, its an issue. If it was a free phone, a gift, or a cheap phone then yes you could call me spoiled. But i payed hard earned money for this phone, and an issue like that in this price range is not acceptable.
