Poco is a sub brand by Xiaomi but ran by an entirely different dev team. So yeah, I guess that made a difference.

Yup, was just watching the expense (SiFi TV show) in hd on my poco.
For Netflix there is the modded APK on XDA to get HD even without L1 anyway…….Netflix never was an issue, prime was tho.

It’s DRM to limit protected content if you’re not eligible. By default the Poco doesn’t have the correct certification and is thus limited. The new update will enable the correct certification and allow apps like Netflix to play HD content once the device has been whitelisted.

Not sure. I’ve flashed the 9.2.25 vendor in PE ROM but still have L3. Someone from XDA said that you’ll need to flash the full closed beta MIUI and use it for a few hours to enable L1. Ain’t got time to flash MIUI and test though

You can’t as users have reported, Netflix HD still doesn’t work after the update, only Amazon prime HD does.
