This start happens after an update or something?
ps. I think a factory reset will solve the problem
It is! How can I fix it?
You don’t have a metered wifi limit set do you? Probably hardware like others said.
While a it replace the phone, the screen is also cracked.
Your persist.img partition is broken, u need to flash it via Mi Flash
I can send u video how to do this: https://youtu.be/Qf0XhhnpQEo
I had the same on my Redmi 3S.
Had the EXACT same issue 3 or 4 times. REBOOTED and everything went back to normal. (Mimix2)
I have no clue what’s happening, I’m just here to appreciate the Mi Max 1. I miss this phone. I miss the Max 2 and 3 too. I use the Mi 9T now, but the Mi Max series will always be my favourite phones, specially the 3. RIP.
Its quite obvious: You’re using light mode instead of dark mode
I have had that switched off and as well as on. I messed around with pretty much all of the advanced settings.
Could be a kernel/firmware issue
Did you recently use a custom kernel ? In 2017 when I had MIUI I had this issue when flashing custom kernel and then flashing stock. Flashing system.img new fixes it
Or it could be a hardware issue with the WiFi module in your phone
Yeah, if you have hands and pockets big enough to handle a 7″ screen. Don’t get me wrong, I can see a use for a phone that big, but I’ll stick with my Note 5 AI Dual Camera, thanks.
I’ll soon be upgrading to a Note 8 Pro. Same form factor but 6 1/2″ screen. I don’t have any clothes with pockets big enough for the Mi Max 3.
One truth, though; Xiaomi phones rock!
I’ll try that again but it does not even want to try to evaluate any wifi, it just switches it off the whole time.
Might not need root, you can connect to ADB and use “adb logcat”
If you try to turn off 4G and then wifi on
Yeah, multiple times. 🙁
Maybe the hardware part is broken and that is the software’s behaviour.
Broken hardware
😂😂
Your screen is broke or my screen is broke.
It happened the same to me. Gave my mom the Mi max 3 and bought a Mi 9T. I regret it. It has a better amoled screen and cameras, but the rest is awful compared to the max 3. I’m still hoping Xiaomi will come back with the concept
Time to flash a custom ROM
Could be your digitizer, I see cracks in the screen.
He’s going through his rebellious phase
If you haven’t, you could try the reset wifi, mobile data, and Bluetooth setting.
Mi mi mix 2s does this from time to time, reboot solves it everytime.
check you didn’t accidentally turn on airplane mode , and if you’ve had your phone open or dropped it recently ensure the antenna is where it’s suppose to be and has a solid connection. If it’s he antenna you will also have bad on phone call reception, if you can make calls at all.
Agreed, it’s probably a hardware failure.
People posting here will literally see a screen snapped in half and try to reason it as a software failure.
The screen protector is cracked, the screen itself is fortunately fine.
Lmao
Yeah this was my old one I gave to my mom. I’m on the 3 and I feel like I want to get me a backup 3 for when this one dies. It’s such a great phone and these days super cheap too.
You can always try to re-flash the firmware using xiaomi tool.
Yes its the wifi module, my old motog4+ did the same, the module overheated and nearly destroyed all the phone.
Antisocial phone doesn’t want to interact with the rest of the world.
Exactly, it is an hardware issue. Not a software issue. Replace the wifi-module
I second this. I had exactly the same problem after flashing miui over a custom rom. I recommend flashing latest global beta, then global stable fastboot roms using mi flash tool (roms can be downloaded from xiaomi firmware updater website). If it’s a software problem, this will solve it 100%.
No custom rom, just whatever over the air updates that might have been pushed.
This happened in my mi a3 after flashing wrong rom, try restoring and installing again
Happened to me on xiaomi.eu, I had to switch to the normal stock rom instead and wifi worked again.
I have had the same issue twice. So far it got fixed by simply rebooting.
F
Ergh I’ve had that so many times with old phones. Pretty sure it was my previous Samsung phones. Can’t remember what fixed it – factory reset maybe
I don’t have big hands nor big pockets but I loved loved all those 3 Max phones. Things like battery and audio made the difference to me. I think it’s an acquired taste.
Wifi module man
[Because you have this app on it](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z86V_ICUCD4)
You probably talked shit behind Xi Jinping’s back.
Same, happens to me sometimes too, a simple reboot does the trick
I work in a phone repair shop. Your wifi module is probaly broken 🙁
Edit: If a factory reset, up or downgrading firmware doesnt work your wifi module is probably broken
I’m rocking the 3 right now. They’re pretty good.
Is device turned on?
Have you tried rebooting?
You didn’t mention in the title if you are on custom rom, and if you do, which one.
