Actually not too many hours. This video is about 1.5h in real life.
Just be aware that long exposure of the sun can damage the camera sensor. Usually not a problem with sunsets (much weaker light), but don’t try this with the sun still high.
Phones stock camera app
I could try it tonight.
Oh lol, ok great
About 1.5h of total
How many hours does this usually take? I wanted to do this tho with my mi 9t but cant cuz of this covid thing
Definitely a meteor, all planes leave a trail. That’s what I wanna believe and I’m sticking to it.
What app did you use to shoot this?
These could easily be the 2 best comments of the day.
To people that don’t know how to get the time lapse option in the stock camera app you go to video and then click the 3 bars at the top right which brings up the option for time lapse.
There’s a time lapse option in the stock camera app.
There is timelapse option yes. I used 60X (2 second interval) to shoot the video. I googled what speed is best to shoot sunsets and best recommendations suggested around 60X. This was my first time to try it and actually i love this really. Only editing was the backround music and the date stamp at the beginning.
Gorgeous
I think thats a plane. There was lot of them flying over this area!
Thanks 🙂
The odds are pretty low to damagae phone sensor with sunlight in my opinion. But thanks for the advice.
I shot an 8K timelapse once, it almost set the phone on fire.

Its about 1.5h of total time and stock camera app
How long is the video? What app do you use?
Ah yes I see it now. It’s kind of hidden isn’t it.
How did you get it to time lapse? Did you edit it after?
Yes, it was a huge camera objective and i mounted somehow my phone to top of it.
Thats a plane
Didn’t look this option. 1.5h took around 50% battery.
Do you have the option to turn off the Phone Screen?
Did you use a tripod?
How long did you shoot the video?
Sorry if this video didn’t meet your expectations…
