Hey everyone! I’ve been dealing with a super annoying bug on TikTok ever since I updated to HyperOS on my Xiaomi phone.

Basically, even though I have dark mode turned on (both in system settings and TikTok settings), the comment section still renders in light mode, while the rest of the app is in dark mode. It looks super jarring and uncomfortable at night.

I’ve tried:

Reinstalling TikTok

Clearing cache and data

Resetting display settings

Switching to another account

Reporting it to TikTok multiple times (they just keep replying with “turn on dark mode” even though I clearly said it’s already on)

I even tested it on another phone and it worked fine—so this seems to be a TikTok + HyperOS compatibility issue.
Anyone else experiencing this? And if you managed to fix it, please let me know how!
