Only downside is no wireless charging. Otherwise perfect phone. I’d love to have a huawei p40 pro+ or the mate 40 pro +
I never experienced that in Voice Calls. Which App are you using for Voice Calls?
I have black shark 3 with 65w. 20 minutes of charge and it’s full again.
33
?
Great, but if you’re gonna be using your phone for more than 1-2 years then I’ll recommend using a 15 watt charger.
looking forward the long term usage review.
If battery degradation is not too bad i will consider it for my next one.
Oh yeah I thought you were talking about the redmi note 9 pro
It is insane but it’s not very healthy for the phone’s battery in the long run. Check out this video by Mr. Whose the Boss where he explains what fast charging does to our smartphones:
“Companies love to boast about how fast their Smartphone Chargers are, but there’s a hidden cost – This is the problem with fast Chargers.”
get a baseus from aliexpress
Shut up,I’m 15 so buying phones isn’t so easy for me
It’s a fake animation
Ye, and say goodbye to your battery lifespan
Is it worth it? Making more e waste by killing the bettery faster. Most people try to charge 5% to 100% killing battery instead of trying to maintain battery from 30 to 80%. For those people Slow Charges are just better.
I have an note 9 pro and a mi note 10 lite what do i search for in themes?
Go to themes and change it.
I’ve had the phone almost a year and never noticed this feature?
Edit: yeah no, different phone
No problem, it just sounded a little cocky, also I see you’re kinda an IT manager,or at least the IT guy at your work place, nice, keep up, and clean those dirty fans
If you plug it in from 0 and keep that screen open the whole time then by the time it reaches 99% then unplug it will only be 97%. The decimal places go up constantly while real charging levels are more inconsistent.
Okay noted thanks!
I’m sorry i didn’t mean to offend you. But i really can’t explain. Sorry.
yeah, idk what is all that hassle in this topic about, there are faster charging phones in similar price
Do your redmi note 9 pro experiencing dust inside the camera lens..?
How so?
Yeah, but I mean, this only works if your mobile data is turned on, and ngl you’re pretty negligent or leaving in a really dangerous area is you loose your phone every 6-8 months
It takes 1hr 10mins to full charge. Really More Useful than anyone thinks especially when you forget to charge your phone the night before going to work. It’s nearly full by the time you decide to leave for work if you charge it the moment you wake up
No shit, what’s wrong with you?
I have the same phone. It’s awesome. I’m actually cautious now and don’t even leave it plugged in overnight. 30-40 mins every 2 days is enough!
You know that for the phones the god damn charger is the power suply, you moron? You are right, there is a power regulator in the phone, but if it isn’t porgrammed, to recognize the specific charger it usually limits the wattage to below the max charging capacity. And in some cases, yes, it can actually brake your phone if it’s a shitty charger, or your phone is some cheap chinese shit
bah Im old enough to remember that one charge would last so long that I’ve lost my charger in meanwhile. And also if you didnt have Nokia then you are fucked as everyone had at least three Nokia chargers but anything else was very rare and every phone back then had its own charger, even two different models from same manufacturer had different chargers for some reason.
Hey now! Watch your sciency mouth!
So just buy the 60w
How can i get this animation to my phone. Mine supports 30W charge too.
I have both and i am using them but i don’t have the animaton…
This phone is a power! The only bad thing is that stupid, stupid, stupid thing that put the mic on mute during voice calls. What a dumb mess that Xiaomi done there.
How do you have that animation which tells you exactly what % you are on. First note 9 pro has an lcd display so how do u have alway on display ( or am i just stupid ) and how do you have that animation that tells you soo exactly what % you are on?
Is the pro the same than the 9s?
Salut !
Idk, until now I’ve only seen it on r/Blackpeopletwitter and there that guy was using it as flex, so I misunderstood it.
companies want people to use fast chargers. that way the batteries will get worse quicker meaning people will need to buy phones more often. they don’t want people to hang on to phones for more than a year. I’m somewhat guilty of this. i usually end up with a new phone every 2 years (not because of battery life, but because I buy into all the hype of better cameras even though I don’t really need a top of the line camera for 99% of my photos)
Only the mi 9T pro, and anyways here in Romania, in my city you can’t really find 30W chargers for some reason. You can find 5,10,18 and then ofc respecting the next step, 60W.Also nice dog, she a spinny doggo.
Edit:spelling
not sure why you need 30 watt charging? just plug it when you’re not using it and you should be able to maintain a decent charge. the faster you charge a battery, the hotter it gets and then the lifespan of that battery will be shorter. plus the battery capacity will go down faster, meaning you’ll have to charge more often, meaning your battery life will go down even further….
phone companies want people to fast charge their phones since it shortens the life of the battery, making people need a new phone sooner
Whoa..thats good to hear!
Nice,I want to be a programmer and am really interested in computers, so I researched this topic too, funny, that for example cpu pairing is a only server option usually(Intel xions) and back then it was more common then you would think
Yea it’s not that accurate
Not in my experience, the rate of increase slows down as the charge percentage gets closer to 100%
No, the Poco M2 Pro is in between the Redmi Note 9S and the Redmi Note 9 Pro. It’s basically the 9S with the charging speed of the 9 Pro. It’s still 30w charging with a 33w charger. The 9 Pro has 64MP while the M2 Pro has the 48MP of the Redmi Note 9S.
I have the same phone and I love it I assume you have the global version right? If so do you have the dust in camera problem mine is 2 months old and I’m seeing nothing should I get protection
We are talking about a 30w phone
And no, it will not “brake” the phone. Electricity doesn’t work like that.
Nice! It’s a great phone, try it out with a 30 watts charger and see if it works for you
Yeah and the moon landing was faked. /s
I charged my nokia with some others phones charger and it somehow worked even tho I changed the plugs diy, because the default one was broken. Also in school I was the cool guy, who had a flip phone ,remember those phones with like 100 buttons on them? That was my girst ,,smartphone” with a touch bar, not a full screen sensor, just a bar, that let you set some stuff, I was so excited when I got it
sure believe whatever you want it’s pretty basic knowledge that lithium batteries don’t like to be charged to 100%, discharged less than 20ish percent or charged too fast. all this shortens their lifetime. I’m not a professional, but I deal with a lot of lithium batteries for RC cars, planes, drones, ebikes and other hobby related things.
How did you get it to look like that? Mine only shows the whole Numbers.
That sweet MKBHD Oneplus 8T video playing in the background tho…
I wonder how reliable are the hundredths of battery
And could you tell me ,why tf should I buy a 60W charger if I have a 18W charger and a max 18W capacity phone?
Also that would just brake the phone lol
Ah! Lol makes sense, early morning here – I misread 9 for 7
Wtf is meaning of this comment.. If your battery is too hot while charging (which will be at 30W (6A)) lifespan of that battery will shrink.
And moon landing was real. ;))
What phone do you have? I think it only does that with 30watts and above, it didn’t work like that on my mothers mi note 10 with an 18 watts charger
Could you stop being such a smartass, and explaining something, I’m not asking because I don’t know what you said, I’m asking because of which are you saying?
If you mean it to my phone then your pretty much wrong, ’cause there is a different sign for 18 W charging and also you can check the voltage input with the phones ussd codes or something like that.
I use redmi note 7 with pixel rom and its been a godsend.
I could easily squeeze more than 1 day for non heavy usage.
Indeed 5000mah with midrange is more than enough.
I’m not trying to be rude, but I’m not your son, and also idk, but that comment sounded like a flex, so sorry if I misinterpreted it, also now I see you edited you comment. So I’m sorry for misinterpreting it, but still, it was your fault from the start.Like for real, what did you think when you wrote Mi 10 ultra and that weird emoji thing?
But it look cool, I guess.
It’s intentional so it’s a feature. It’s like an emergency battery saver on top of the battery saver option.
Yup. But does anyone have the problem of the phone lagging when the battery drops below 10 percent?
Reads in 5W
The Note 9 is powered by a Helio G85 which is a little buggy as of the moment, also drains fast due to being a 12nm chip unlike the 9S and the 9 Pro which has the 8nm Snapdragon 720G which is more power efficient. The Snapdragon 720G also processes pictures clearer. The Poco X3 is even better than this two with it’s Snapdragon 732G+33WCharging and is at the same price cause Xiaomi decided to kill the Note 9 Pro and Note 9S with this phone.
It’s sad that people don’t follow logic and science and keep getting fascinated by all the hype that is created by the brands to sell their products.
Brands know that most consumers wouldn’t care researching about what’s best for their smartphone.
You will eventually understand that. Or maybe not. Sorry. 😐
It can charge at 30 watt, using my sisters poco x3 charger which is 33 watt
im considering getting a redmi note 9, whats the difference between the 9s and 9pro? and are there perhaps alternatives around this price range?
The Redmi note 9 Pro is charging with 30W and the mi 9 with 27W.
If you use the supplied cable and 30w charger it should come up.
You’re not the only one. Maybe it’s not on the 10 lite
Skip to 1:52
It’s only been out for 6 months
Mine dosen’t fast charge anymore since MIUI update 11.0.6 🙁
It’s been 2 weeks ago now…
Don’t worry I am old enough to know those times, my first phone charged in 4h and would last 5-6
Aaaaaaaah, mine is coming in a few hours
The charger that comes in the box is 33w if I remember correctly, it shows only the full number
Nice,I have a mi 9T so I’m only enjoying 18W charging. But that’s already pretty fast for me
It’s like charging your ubuntu on this car https://youtu.be/dWkyXApmOpQ
Crazy, and it’s not even the absolute best manufactures can do. An Italian reviewer has tested this and other phones:
[From 0 to 50%](https://i.imgur.com/w3FsNlJ.png)
[From 0 to 100%](https://i.imgur.com/DgPUI3H.png)
Sorry, I don’t get the essence of ur comment bro. By “cpu pairing” u mean making use of multiple cpu cores? If so, yes, that was totally uncommon, even on server systems.
What programming language do you intend to start with?
Yes ! I have it too it’s damn fast
Can confirm. Got mine yesterday and the power brick is really heavy.
Dada, buna
i tried to say the same thing kept getting downvoted :/
Oh yea, but im still confused about the animation cuz it just says turbo charging for me
At this rate a full charge will take around 41,6 minutes.
You know if you load a higher amperage in the phone then if it can’t handle, it will brake it, why do you think you need the charger in the first place?
XD
I think it only happens if you use a 30w charger
It doesn’t work on my Mi Note 10 Lite with 30W charging…
I’m considering buying… What’s the issue?
Bullshit. Again, you have no idea how electricity works. The phone will take only the current it needs like every power supply ever. You think computer power supplies are exactly the wattage required? No, they are always well over. That’s how electricity works.
What do you mean why do I think you need it? 30w phone and there is only a 60w available? Does this even need explaining?
Thats for sure
Even its battery degrates over time, it can still easily give you a full day of heavy usage. 5000 mAh combined with a power efficient mid-range chip is phenomenal for long term usage. I have the Note 9 pro and ı’m a heavy user, still get like one and a half days of full usage on %70 brightness. Only thing I don’t like is the laggy miui animations, this skin is a bit heavy for the non-800 series snapdragon chipsets.
The animation doesn’t actually match the actual charge cause the actual charge is behind in seconds but still it’s full in a mere 1 hour and 10 minutes unlike other phones that take 2.5-3hrs to charge full. The Blackshark 3 Pro is even more insane with its 65W charging that reaches full in 38mins and the Mi10 Ultra with it’s 120w charging 23mins.
Yes it is real. I have the same one on my poco f2 pro.
The timing matches pretty much perfectly with how long the whole percentages go up.
This only shows up with 30w charging.
Yeah, i recently got the miui 12 and although it is cool and all but very laggy, was thinking about changing to pixel experience. I just like the stock Android better
Doesn’t the Mi 9T support 30watts?
Im using a 30 watt charger and how do i change the animations?
thanks. its really odd how they just bring out device after device. and they keep trumping eachother. like redmi is supposed to be the budget line, then why is there another line overlapping with it? the poco x3 does seem really good. do you recommend it?
Yes, it has better haptics, better processor, better speaker, an actually clear Ultrawide Camera and 33W charging. Xiaomi seems to try to take down their own line cause they have no competition at this price range. The only thing better on the 9 Pro is it supports a larger SD Card Capacity 512vs256GB and a 5MP Macro vs 2MP.
I think it’s 27w
In themes you will find some default ones like classic, limitless etc. Try changing them and test your charging animation.
Battery capacity is pretty hard to measure
Yes. It’s just an animation.
On my Xiaomi, changing themes sometimes changed my charging animation as well. By default there are 2/3 themes, you can give that a try. Also try with a 30W charger.
Mine was made in Aug. Have it for 6 weeks or so. No dust so far, knock on wood…
It’s not always on display. You can see it turns off at the end of the video.
It is a bit fast, no doubt, but it would appear even faster if you
format the charging percent as 75.44235 %
/s
Idk man, I don’t really see why would you need that, even tho a thief can’t turn off your phone, they can still drain it, or just turn off data, so you can’t find it.On the recovery mode yes, that would be bad if it couldn’t be activated so easily.
It doesn’t get hot at all, that’s what people here don’t understand
Mi 9T pro specs: comes with an 18w fast charger but supports 27w.
Is it feature or a flaw?
Ahhh I have a Mig note 10
Not at all. I’ve purchased my phone in May. I’ve only heard about this dust problem sometime in August.
i dont get why fast charging is such a big deal with these massive batteries like they easy last enough for a day for me and i use my phone a lot lot
That’s normal. It’s an Android 10 feature
I love how this thread feels like a poem. Beautiful for sure.
Right side of the decimal point is just an animation though. Try to take off the charger and wait for a few seconds and plug it back to see for yourself.
