What sot?
So ridiculous in a good way?
jesus…
When I got my RN4X a while back, I got just over 48 hours on the battery with normal use and was amazed…considering my iphone6 generally would get about 6-8 hours of use before I had to charge it.
I use it a lot and i can do 10 hours SOT on wifi/lte mixed. Insane…
I’m thinking on buying this one… So I guess you recommend it? Mi current phone is Redmi note 3 pro and it works great but the screen is shattered.
Lol thats crazy. My battery is empty after 3h of screen on time and using
My old phone had that which is why this is insane to me.
Its a xiaomi but unfortunatly the battery life degrades really fast. After it was one year old the effect was noticeable, i have the phone now 2,5 years.
Yes I highly recommend it. Only problem was the camera and I installed the google camera app APK and now even that is fixed. Redmi’s camera app has a problem. It colours in all the wrong places and way too much even if you get correct focus.
Great!
Which phone?
Mi4i
Haven’t noticed any major degradation on my soon to be two years old Redmi 3.
[*cries in Mi A1* (also fucking signal, barely use it)](https://i.imgur.com/0kcC6AV.png)
probably was due to the cellular tower being spotty.
Wow those battery stats are amazing. I have a redmi note 4 and get really good life but this looks even better!must be the more efficient processor
That’s godly considering 3 day usage. My RN3Pro give around 5-5:30 hours now
Just broke 4 days. I’m even using it right now. Still 24%. I want to charge but at the same time I want to see how long it goes.
I also have a Mi powerbank 10k mah which hasn’t drained fully once yet. Even if the battery goes bad at least it has good battery timing so I can go with replacing the battery instead of getting a new phone.
I thought the mi a1 had a great battery?
Is this in gaming? Your timing should be much higher. How long have you used it?
there is something wrong with your phone. I can play mmorpg games for over 5hrs on mine or watch something via lte for 8hrs. I think you should reflash your phone (if you know how to)
PUBG Mobile has 4% usage.
it probably was due to the cellular tower being spotty, there were some times when I did not have any service, so Signal reacted to it.
Yeah going to flash a custom ROM this weekend, torn down between AICP, AOKP and LOS
i have the same phone, been using it for like 5 days with normal use without charging lol
What I don’t get is how these north American manufacturers get away with their 4 hours SOT and barely 1 full day battery life. I mean the S9 just came out and it’s battery pales in comparison to this phone which is less than half the cost.
I downgraded to a Mi A1 from Nexus 6P and I’m actually amazed of the battery life
Yeah its just funny at this point.
> 625
> 4000 mAh
Magic Numbers.
Xiaomi redmi 4 pro, where I can find sot information or graph?
S9 is not North American…
I don’t see the point unless you show various stats i.e. Screen on time, sync on or off for emails messaging services, installed apps etc etc.
I mean, looking at the screen on graph and the awake graph it’s seems your phone stays in your pocket or in a drawer most of the time.
Since I’m on 8.1, SOT is hardly crossing 5 hrs+ 😣
Same here with a Redmi 4 Prime.
10 to 11 hours SoT with wifi and lots of browsing. This battery-soc combo is one of the best ever happened.
My latest sot on Redmi 4 Prime is 10,5 hours, best I ever had was 13 hours on MIUI 8.
That’s odd, Signal doesn’t even show up in my battery usage. It’s my SMS app.
I got my 5 Plus less than a week ago. I went the first 3 days without having to recharge even though I was using it quite often. Felt pretty good.
I mean, where I can find those informations in my phone 😀
I have it in “battery usage” in the security app (rn4)
> The note 4 and r5+ both use the SD625.
the rn5 uses sd 636
its only a note 5 in india. im pretty sure most of us here are not from india so its a 5+.
the global note 5 is a sd 636 device.
XD
If you are on MIUI it’s inside security/battery usage/battery use/ clock icon up right.
For screen on time,it’s security/battery usage/Hardware(on the tab above)
Is that actually a downgrade overall?
16 march 2018 is the chinese release of rn5.
lol where did u get the source that rn5 will be sd 625 when r5plus is already released worldwide
Camera – Downgrade
Display – Downgrade
CPU – Up & downgrade
Design – Downgrade
Charging – Downgrade
Battery – Upgrade
Updates – Upgrade 🙂
But for the price, It’s most definitely worth it
True. I should have said phones targeted to the North American market.
How is Redmi 5 Plus with 6 inch screen gettin better battery than 4X? which had a 5.5 screen and same 625 SOC.
Imo, Mi A1 does support fast charging, but Xiaomi does not supply a fast charger.
Whaaat? Nexus 6P got updates MUCH more regularily than Mi A1
Oh gotcha
It’s part of the reason why I wish the 450 will appear more often. I love the 636, don’t get me wrong, but man is the 625 is best chip for casual users.
Hoping companies Meizu and lenovo will pick up the 450, and give it a mid range treatment. Full size battery, 1080p, etc.
Shelf/carrier market vs budget market. Places where people predominantly buy phones off the shelf/through the carrier usually focuses on aesthetics as their main selling point. Hence, slim and fragile build.
Replace the battery dude. It’s only 17 bucks or something.
Huh? The 4X should have a longer battery life according to people who owns both.
I’m guessing it doesn’t support frequency band 4 that t-mobile uses? Really need a new phone and t-mobile kinda fucks me up there.
How did you solve that camera problem? And does your solution fix the video sound problem? It’s bad as I hear it from samples in youtube
I lost the link but this is the APK name of the camera app I’m using
“MGC_5.1.018.177470874.41362666__A7.0-8.1_MI5S_v2b”
Video recording doesn’t even work with this apk for me but the pictures/portrait mode is working beyond perfect with this.
Inbox me I’ll upload it to mediafire if you can’t find it.

Design – downgrade? Like really? What about that black camera strip on the back?
Also RAM and storage is better on Mi A1.
fuck me sideways, that’s god tier!!
Besides the lack of AMOLED and dual speakers I don’t feel like it is.
Perfomance in daily usage is the same or even better, with the Mi A1 advantages being the great battery life (9h SOT) and the fact that it stays very cool compared to the 6P.
Ofc the 6P had better camera, but no phones nowadays except the Pixels are close to it. However, using the Google Camera APK on the A1 provides nice pictures, with ofc lower details than of the 6P.
I’m getting 9h SoT on Redmi 5 Plus with 24/7 BT on, connected miband2, turned on all notifications on band, location turned on as well. This phone is freaking out me.
The design of the Nexus 6P was unique and feels really good on the hands
The A1 also has a nice design but isn’t as good looking as the Nexus
It doesn’t support any fast charging because Xiaomi for some Unknown reason decided not to enable it in the A1
The Snapdragon 625 is capable of QC 3.0
Updates are over for the 6P and A1 is getting the newer updates and also Android P in the feature
Okay, i don’t have Mi A1, so i can’t verify it. But i have heard that fast charging was enabled wirh oreo update.
That was a “Visual Bug” (Was eventually fixed tho) that led people into thinking that xiaomi enabled it via software which isn’t possible since the part that’s required for quick charged isn’t inside the A1
Sadly the variant sold in India has the same SoC, but weaker rear camers and comes with Nougat out of the box.
Xiaomi India is killing the brand for us! :/
Well, all right. I get that. Why launch a device with Nougat? This is 2018 for crying out loud.
I am just curious to see how long is Xiaomi going to delay the inevitable; launching a device with Oreo & Project Treble, out of the box.
I moved on from a Redmi 4X 32/3 to a Redmi 5 Plus 64/4.
Battery life is same, that means 1 to 2 days with medium usage (WiFi always on, Cell signal not always maxed, facebook, instagram, whatsapp, messenger and other crap)
Where the 4X gains battery life on the 5″ screen, it loses that advantage because of the SoC.
5 Plus has a power efficient SoC, but that advantage fades away due to the 6″ screen.
Oh I was thinkng about the NOte 4x, which also has 625.
How to achieve ~~10h of SOT~~ yor result on a Redmi 5 Plus? My best is 8h at 11% battery remaining.
