Im having the same problems. Noticeable decline in battery life since i upgraded RN5 to MIUI10
There were also people with exploding xiaomi batteries as well. Even on this sub.

Its an android one phone looking at the ui so prob its an a2 lite
My redmi 6 pro or mi a2 lite for international markets get me around 14-15hrs of screen on time with heavy usage.

you shouldn’t update it everytime. when you feel your phone is fine don’t update but if you feel it have bug or something wrong update it
