I’m thinking about getting a Xiaomi 15 Global because it has band 13 support and most 5G band support for Verizon in the US. How is it specifically for Verizon users in the US. It’s gonna replace my Google pixel 6a.

I never had luck with Chinese phones with Verizon despite majority band support. I’m on USMOBILE both Sim and Esim don’t work with Verizon. Many users say that Verizon doesn’t whitelist Chinese phones on their network.
I have just made the same change that you have in mind, I went from the Pixel 6a (which my mother now uses) to the Xiaomi 15 and I couldn’t be happier, in size they are the same but in everything else the Xiaomi 15 obviously wins
Isn’t Verizon gonna have to let it in due to it having band 13 and due to an agreement with the FCC in 2008
It’s not about the bands. If Verizon says no then it won’t work with the Verizon sim card. Only if Verizon allows it then the bands are useful.
I legit can’t use T-Mobile unless my family switches to us mobile,
I’m swapping sims from my 6a, so it might not be a problem since it has Band 13

Check out kimovil, you can put the device you’re interested in and the country and it’ll match bands per carrier depending on global/chinese variant
I have a EEA version Xiaomi 15 Ultra, I put my own IMEI into the Verizon prepaid IMEI checker, and here is what I got: **The phone associated with the Device ID you entered is not compatible with the Verizon Wireless network**
I tried T-mobile too: This device is fully compatible with T-Mobile’s network technology. Tell me more
* This device is not blocked from use on our network.
And AT&T: Incompatible device
Your device is not compatible with the AT&T network.
Conclusion: for the three major carriers you can only use it on T-Mobile.
I’m using the Xiaomi 15 Ultra in the U.S.
Just use T-Mobile instead mate. Screw Verizon, they don’t want customers if they want to keep being restrictive and apparently T-Mobile has come a very long way in terms of rural coverage too.
It doesn’t matter which version; China, Global, etc. US carriers still typically IMEI check and sometimes block devices on their network. Verizon has a history of checking and blocking phones.
He is talking about global version. Those usually betyer in network
I’ve been using Xiaomi in the US forever. But I will 100% reconsider or double check if I’m on Verizon.
I have the 14 ultra global working with Visible without problems, just not 5Guw
It might be hard activating it on Verizon unless you can swap sims. I’ve tried it with a travel eSIM that runs on Verizon and it supports 5G. From what I know, the phone should work well on Verizon except mmWave which isn’t found in all areas anyway.
I would double check to make sure a phone not brought from Verizon or available in the US will actually work properly. Most of the major US carriers and for sure Verizon have a stupid whitelist of approved phones. If the phone isn’t on that list, it will either not have access to 5G, VoLTE and other important functions or the SIM simply will be locked out until it is put into a phone that they approve. Something to do with reading the phone’s IMEI and comparing it to their database. Really stupid in my opinion.
I’ve heard you may be able to get around it by using a prepaid SIM but doesn’t always work. I think AT&T may be only one without such a check but I’ve also heard of people being okay with forgien phones on T-Mobile.
