I was sceptical at first, but now I have my hands on the Poco F2 Pro, I have been having a blast with the macro lens, it’s a lot of fun!
Edit:
These were taken with gcam (Urnyx) which takes a much sharper image with the macro camera compared to stock camera app.
Still can’t choose between this and the Note 10 Lite / 10 Lite.
Can anyone please give me a link or video on how to use the macro lens? I am having a hard time to use it. I always end up on taking a blurred image.
And that makes it worth over twice as much? Hell no.
Also the card slot is missing. I don’t care if the poco is $50, I don’t want a phone missing such basic features.
Looks way better than the macro on Note 10
Yeah, it’s their ”prosumer” brand
Eh they’re pretty widespread now. The ~£150 redmi 9x line has the same 5MP macro
Because it’s often needlessly confusing, especially for recommending to people, and especially since Xiaomi often releases the same phone with different names.
He befriended that fly
This, definitely. Received it today and it’s sooooo good. It’s for my Mrs but I might have to get one for myself and upgrade my mi mix 3, only problem is it took about 70 days to arrive from china but I did get a good deal, about £400 over the £550 through Xiaomi app/website.
answer i was after, yea I only heard Poco branched off into it’s own company or smth
wait so Poco brnad is still xiao mi?
Is there just a macro option in the camera app or do you need to fiddle around in PRO mode?
Have both, poco all the way
2025: Nach wie vor die beste Makrokamera im oberen Mittelklassebereich, besser als alle Handys danach….
> they’re still a part of Xiaomi
well duuh, companies can have many brands
So you can’t get your head around how BMW also has Mini and Rolls-Royce?
I don’t find anything confusing here. People just like to bitch about stuff. Companies own various brands.
As to why Xiaomi releases same phones under different names – well if they didn’t do that you would be bitching about getting a phone for the Chinese market that works differently. Same specs, different soft. Reason is simple – they are different products for different targets. One could almost have guessed that since the products have different names.
2 days easyly, if You want i can show You at the end of the day
Great pics! Thank you for sharing!
Can you share your impressions about the battery life of the phone? I saw another post in this sub where at least two users said the battery life was not very impressive..
Nice, although there is some blockiness in the blur of the background that I can notice. That aside, it is great for a phone.
The 2mp on the note 10 is a lot worse than the 5mp on the Poco though.
Which Gcam Version do you use? I somehow cant seem to find my macro camera in the urnyx Gcam I have installed
Xiaomi is a company with brands like Mi, Poco and Redmi and others. Why people think so much about it I don’t get.
Does it have the 5 MP one of the RN 9 Pro?
😬
while black shark here is Schrodinger’s
Great pics. Hopefully I can get similar results from my upcoming Redmi Note 9S.
That’s not the same thing. First off, mini and rolls Royce were pre-existing brands bought out by BMW. Second, and most importantly, Xiaomi sells the same phones under different names under different brands. That’s why it’s confusing. It’s not immediately clear the k20 and mi9T are the same phone. It’s needlessly complicated.
There’s a macro feature built in, no need for pro mode
it’s a telephoto macro lens. So no need to get as close.
If it was only telephoto, can do that shoot too?
Pues el macro de note 11 pro es una porquería que se podían haber ahorrado
what the fuck, how is this even a phone camera, holy fucking shit
Pocophone is just xiaomi rebrand, the same as realme = oppo and honor = Huawei
You’re not just paying twice as much not just for that.
You’re paying that much for the flagship SoC, much better display and primary camera.
Yup, and always has been.
That announcement about Poco being their own brand is just one of their bs, they’re still a part of Xiaomi. Just look at the phones they released thus far, all were just rebranded Xiaomi phones except for the Poco F1.
But it doesn’t have telephoto lens on macro, which poco F2 Pro has.
lol yeah ok
Really good for gaming, I still haven’t noticed any warming on it while I play. The screen is only 60 hrz which for me is good
How the hell did you get that close to the fly?
My RN8 Pro can’t get this quality in Macro. Maybe I’ll sell it and get a Poco. I’ll check the specs. Is the processor good for gaming? Screen is nice? I wanted an AMOLED screen phone but only ones I would buy so far are Mi 9 or 9T Pro, which are still expensive here (Brazil).
That’s okay, the phone didn’t launch in my country unfortunately. I ultimately purchased a K20 Pro last month.
