1. Does not allow installation of third-party launchers with swipe gestures
2. When taking burst photos, you can’t view them using the default app; you need to install Google Photos to select images
3. Increasing notification volume still gives a warning even at very low volume
4. When installing a launcher, you need to grant permissions for each app individually
5. When system optimization is turned off, you can’t open files downloaded from Telegram
1. You can, PCO launcher for example
2. Yo can view them in the default gallery app, just checked you get a small “timer” symbol in the bottom left corner.
I stopped reading your post from here
I just hate it for the fact that it’s slow, even with all animations turned off in developer options. Customisation has to be done through a stupid app, Themes, I hate the notification center with 2 sides completely stupid and waste of time.
I am, however, a big fan of zen ui, ir at least until a yesr ago when I still had my ZenFone 9.
Why are you disabling system optimisation?
I miss MIUI.
Had a xiaomi 12x for 3 years, agree on everything. It’s straight up annoying and gets in the way of normal tasks sometimes. The system file manager is trash too. I upgraded to a Honor magic 7 pro, it’s so much better.
What happened to MIUI?
I can’t even turn off system optimization anymore
MIUI was already bad and they somehow made it worse and with even less features.
I’m using Xiaomi since 2013, and it never had been worse. With every update they fuck it up just more. It doesn’t even work properly together with their smart band.
they renamed it 💀
Only 1 and 4 are a problem, everything works great.
Me too
Couldn’t agree more. I bought the note 13 pro like 1,5 year ago. This will be my last Xiaomi phone. I just can’t tolerate further the sh*t that the OS is doing sometimes. A couple of my experience (my phone is up to date btw).
The screen rotation is always bugs out. Every 2nd day I need to reboot because it stuck.
A week ago I wanted to pair one of my Mi band. The phone started to ring on the default ringtone at full blast. Don’t know why don’t know how because my phone was in DnD and I also started to turn down the volume but it was already at 0.
Dropping the mobil date. I had signal, the phone showed that I have internet but it couldn’t load anything. Reboot again.
Forgetting the WiFi. Need to reboot.
These were the nost recent ones. Sorry for the rant.
they changed shortly after it became pretty decent.
Lmao
This forum never fails to deliver the cry babies with idiotic & arbitrary issues.
” oMg I cAn’T RuN mY fAv 3rd PaRtY LaUncHeRz ” – Worst Android OS EVER!!😵💫😵💫
Am I the only one that doesnt have any problems?
can you elaborate on point 4 and 5?
I Have a poco x7 pro buy recently and i Have 2 problems overheating and battery drain fast îs this bad optimization or my phone i dont use the 90 w charger bcs i cant fiind IT in Romania i ușe the 67 w charger and in 80% and protection battery it show only 11 hours and i Have the new hyper os ca-n You help me pls???
Can’t even mark WiFi connection as metered.
1. You mean POCO? That’s that’s not a 3rd party launcher.
I stopped reading your post from here
1. First time I’m hearing this. Works on all androids, except Xiaomi.
Xiaomi is the one wanting to kill 3rd party launchers, not Google.
The terrible RAM management is what’s annoying me the most.
I disabled all the related power saving and background use options for the apps in question, I’ve locked them in multitasking, my RAM almost always is just filled to half capacity, yet Firefox and other apps need to reload even after briefly using something else, sometimes it’s literal seconds and somehow it still got thrown out.
The system overall is laggy, but that might just be due to me having gotten a cheap entry phone with a low-power SOC. Still there’s simply no excuse for not using the RAM that’s already there.
I tried that launcher in MIUI 14 (Note 9 Pro), at least the old (2.0) version. Gestures aren’t supported.
Can’t talk about the newer version, as the ones in APKMirror ask for Android 13 at least and that phone is stuck in Android 12, but I wouldn’t be surprised if the same happened trying an older version that supported Android 12 and I could install.
My 78 year old mom has no problem whatsoever with hers….
Just saying.
It sometimes breaks features, like for ex. The messenger chat bubbles. However disabling it breaks other features so personally I have it on and live with shitty chat bubbles
You can turn off the 2 sided notifications (don’t remember how but I have done it)
😂
*could, it’s not possible anymore . I had a Poco f4 and back then it was possible.
I mean the volume one does depend a lot on the content and headphones, since I found that it warns me at about the right time.
Guess I’m the only one who likes Xiaomi. I prefer the software over one ui
HyperOS on the frontend looks like what MIUI 15 would be, just a few minor changes.
The backend is a complete overhaul and is really impressive and allows for better interconnectivity.
It was 2months i used my phone with miui, it’s not good as compared to others but i found really useful features like being able to track how many datas were used by a certain phone on hotspot mode , and many more, i really missed that now it’s all gone.
For your second point on burst photos, I don’t think it’s true. I can fire bursts and view them from the native Gallery app, not Google Photos.
The rest I can’t comment on since I haven’t spent enough time with my 15 Ultra. I came from a 6 year old Huawei stuck on Android 10 and EMUI 11, so honestly HyperOS has been a major step up. I just wish it shipped with 2.1 instead but hopefully that isn’t too far off considering the EU version has it rolling out.
Lol no. I have pixel with a Nova launcher and have gestures. Xiaomi is just terrible at everything.
when you turn on DND, WhatsApp still shows notification
>The backend is a complete overhaul and is really impressive and allows for better interconnectivity.
What are you talking about? You mean a few shitty Xiaomi apps?
I’m facing the same issues. Like I have to reload every page every time I leave the browser and come back to it. It can’t even keep 2 tabs alive in chrome. I tried different browsers too but still facing the same issues everywhere.
I’m glad my phone came with it, i’ve been using it since a year. Just don’t like hos.
I don’t know how the official version of HyperOS performs, yet I’m pretty sure it kinda bad.
I use Xiaomi.eu ROM. I Courage you and everyone that if you don’t like the official to look for xiaomi.eu ROM. It’s really a game changer with all the features and no ads experience. Although you’ll not get the swipe gesture but I believe you will like the os more.
I can kinda understand why they don’t support third-party launchers with swipe gestures. The animation returning to the home screen won’t be smooth without default launcher.
78 year old dude here having no problems 😁

Better interconnectivity for now is mostly the ability to send apps across devices and shit like that, but more will be possible as time goes on
Still can’t have haptic feedback turned on after months, it has a weird bug where it is “duplicate” aka, it vibrates and then vibrates again
Sorry but HyperOperatingSystem operating system?
I suppose the equivalent of the old System Optimization might behave differently depending on the model. But I have no problems with HyperOS 1 on my 11T (99% the same as MIUI) or HyperOS 2 on my 13T Pro where there are a few more differences.
RAM is probably utilized as disk cache without it showing in the typical RAM usage. Like with most operating systems.
using Xiaomi phones for a long time now, I had to move to Samsung. Of course, I miss some features, but overall, OneUI is so much pleasant to use.
The youths these days…
I share most of the common issues related to Xiaomi, and one in particular is when I’m using YouTube and set the video quality to 1080p. The video just starts lagging, and sometimes the app randomly lowers the quality to 480p, forcing me to close the video (and sometimes the app) to set it back to 1080p or higher. Anyway, I like Xiaomi, but its system is getting worse every day.
It’s new OS,be patient and the chinese will make it all perfect through the upgrades.
Can’t wait for the year 2029 when my phone will be running well
You also can’t unlock bootloader easily so you flash another ROM
The things you are complaining for are just neglegible inconvinience to us non-power users. Maybe next time spend a day of research before you buy a phone?
Me personally coming from IOS TO ONE UI to i personally prefer the hyper os
What? My Redmi 12S is hardly a flagship but it runs Hyper OS 2 flawlessly. Hyper OS 1 was great as well. Zero issues.
I fucking hated HyperOS 2 on my Redmi Note 13. I can’t tolerate it more. I’m gonna sell this piece of shit and get a Samsung again
You also can’t let an app bypass do not disturb returned my 15 ultra because of this, it’s a default android feature why remove it 🤦
I’m using Xiaomi 13 and still have multitasking issues. It’s annoying to the point that I don’t even dare to reply to messages while gaming anymore because that would reload my game
Yeah similar for me, like looking something up in the browser before replying in a social media app. There’s a decent chance the latter will have been closed and the thread gone to the void or at least any text I typed before lost unless I specifically made the effort to copy it to the clipboard as a precaution.
Tap 5 times on reset to default in dev settings Down. I can give a guide
I’m in dev mode but where is reset to default? 🤔
This 👆… They market HyperOS as something interconnected between their device ecosystem but literally my robot vacuum or mi band needs to open the app and load for a minute to even get started. There is no interconnection, it’s all crap marketing
I have also problem where I turn on DnD and I still get notifications! I don’t event get what’s the point
Never buy phone based on future promises. My Xiaomi 13 was marketed as interconnected with HyperOS base but 2 and half years later it still doesn’t do any useful interconnectedness
For my home you even need to dual-app it, because some devices need the app to be set to Europe server and others only work with China server
You just don’t understand how GREAT HyperOS is.
I feel like in modern times, many put less emphasis on software optimisation and rely on hardware brute force instead.
Otherwise I can’t explain how fairly basic websites and UI can be laggy on hardware that’s not *that* old yet.
Reminds me of BlueMail which I’ve been using until recently.
It worked fine for me. Then, new UI, now laggy as hell, muscle memory thrown to the wind of course, and I just can’t understand why. Just to give UI designers a reason for existing?
woah, the way they hid it
also why tf did it delete my background image 🙁
Has Hyper os 2.0.107.0 include any bugs or serious errors? Update option availabled on my setting and so I downloaded it,not installing yet.
Xiaomi doesn’t want to do it with u
That’s for autofill settings. Got nothing to do with system optimisation.
Plus Smart charging is not working for non flagships
Yeah I have the same. It just turns DnD off by itself.
Only problem I had with HyperOS was their simplification of sound settings for earphones, took me a while to find settings which sounded good again due to it.
Please sir, enlighten me. I would be happy to see your perspective
I was just trolling. HyperOS is pretty much same shit, different name.
It’s surprising that you don’t know floating windows, you don’t even need to quit your game and you’ll send your message instantly
I’ve used 5 Xiaomis up to this point lmao ofc I know. The thing is I hate using floating window or just typing in general in horizontal mode so instead of struggling with the keyboard while gaming I just quickly switch to message and back. Nevertheless the point isn’t about alternatives for messaging, it’s about how atrocious the RAM management is. Even just switching between facebook/youtube/messenger reloads one of them already.
You can detach the keyboard in floating window mode and It’s odd I have a Poco F6 pro I can leave YouTube, reddit etc in background for lot of time and I can get right back into it
The floating keyboard is very cumbersome to use since then the keys become too small to type with 2 fingers, and typing with 1 isn’t the most comfy thing to do so yeah. When I watch a youtube video if I go to a 3rd app for maybe 5-10 minutes it would go back to home screen
Thank you very much, it worked for me :3 but if I can’t find the optimization toggle, how can I turn it back on?
The same thing again.
Try it, it will show the system optimization option.
No it doesn’t.
Thanks again
MIUi also had tons of the same problems
It had problems but it didn’t suck balls.
And it wasn’t one of the most generic things you could call something either.
you can i have redmi note 12 pro 5g and u can do it in settings
I can’t in my Xiaomi 14.
It’s so anoying that You can’t force Youtube or TikTok to be at a 120hz, when you’re in they Home screen or any other app they scrolling is fantastic, but when You switch to Youtube or TikTok they scrolling just gets f*cked up
Floating windows are shit anyway
And where are these settings?
