It’s not a crazy line, I have about 250 people in front of me. They give away free stuff like the mi bands or headphones by the way
What’s the address of this new Italian Store?
It’s in Arese, near Milan, in the “il Centro” mall
Can see myself in the picture! 😍
Thanks very much.
Fuck. I really wanted to be there, if I didn’t have my Art History final today I would have skipped school without a second thought for this.
It’s great to see these stores in Europe, but honestly it’s probably better to just order from aliexpress or similar. Way overpriced.
Yeah it’s a tad pricey. Funny thing, I’m Italian and the same phones with full 24 months legal EU warranty cost a lot less on Amazon.
They did gave us water
Well definitely go in the future,it will be less crowded plus they didn’t have many items in stock today (like the toothbrush, the yi cameras or the lights)
The funny thing is that I literally just bought a Mi A1 on Amazon a few days ago. Like I haven’t even received it yet. If I had known about the store opening I sure as hell would have waited instead of buying it from Amazon (marketplace / not shipped from amazon factory, a reseller on Amazon.it that stlll gives warranty). Still, I will go on a pilgrimage there regardless!
At this point I’m conflicted, should I just return the phone to the Amazon.it seller and go get it in Milan? How were the prices, like the rumours?
And why is this pic not straight?
I’m not the type of person to stand in line for shit but if they opened a store in Canada…ideally Toronto area I’d go 100%
If I remember correctly prices were as rumoured, I don’t remember seeing the mi A1 though! It will be there in the future for sure
Thanks! At Media World the 64GB version is €250, I got it for a little over €180… I mean yeah I guess I’m just keepin’ it!
I don’t know if I did the right thing by choosing it over the RN5 Plus though… that 18:9 ratio is sexy, but so is Android One.
It’s not gonna be cheaper than 180 for sure, keep it I’d say!
The choice between RN5 plus and the mi A1 is a tough one, but even if I’m a xiaomi fan I still prefer android one over miui 🙂
It’s settled then! I’ve been having a tooon of buyer’s remorse on this one (my old phone suddenly stopped having critical performance and battery issues the second I clicked “Order”), but I’m confident that I will change my mind once I try it 🙂
Non-Amazon shipping from Amazon.it is slow af, but it should arrive before my last class test so I call it a blessing in disguise.
Xiaomi Water?
Oh SHIT WHAT. They’d better open a London store soon D::
Xiaomi purified water inside xiaomi branded smart mugs.
Did Xiaomi ever talk about getting in Canada?
Given the very poor choices we have here, it would be really nice.
No idea to be honest
I ‘m waiting for this to happen. I really need an upgrade for my phone.
As much as I’d like for this to happen Canadians always complain about s lack of choice but always go for Apple or Samsung.
It’s like the carrier situation where everyone complains about the big 3 and how there’s little choice, yet refuse to switch providers.
I’ll switch really soon, just waiting for the announcement on the 31st, and then I’ll buy a Xiaomi phone, probably from Aliexpress.
How are you suppose to not buy Samsung or Apple if there’s almost no alternative though?
I’ve looked at the different choices out there and they just are not great. I understand why people won’t go for anything else than an S8 if there’s not serious alternative, there’s no point of buying something not as good just for the sake of buying another brand.
Plus some phones don’t even have correct 4G band support depending on what carrier you have…
I’m one of the few using a smaller carrier \(Fido\) with a non Samsung/Apple phone \(Nexus 5 for now\).
I have an s6 edge and a xiaomi a1…haven’t used the s6 since I got my a1. Also with Fido.
It is nice to see Canada computers and Walmart online sell some xiaomi products
Whilst I could be wrong, I think that their UK presence, for the time being, is going to be limited to their partnership with Three, so you should be able to see and buy them in stores, but not Mi’s own.
Would \*love\* for an actual Mi Home in the UK, though, yeah.
