The LTE section of their wikipedia article says that 4 is their main band. A few of the others are also supported by the Mix.

What usually happens is they make another version of the phone with different bands and sell it to the specific market. This is also how OnePlus works.
Once it gets popular? Already one of the largest brands in the world, just not the United States
Redmi note 3 works LTE Canadian Big 3.
Check the other replies in the post.
As beeing a concept phone, all specs should have been top notch, but seems like the camera sensor is not. There is a quick camera review on YouTube: https://youtu.be/3kMz4lpxuxY
IMX 378 and I would preorder immediately.
Anyone actually buying this right now on one of the Chinese web shops? They go for about $650/$750 for the 2 versions.
Xiaomi’s official site for the phone has these bands listed:
>FDD-LTE (bands B1, B2, B3, B4, B5, B7, B8)
>TD-LTE (band B38, B39, B40, B41)
AT&T: 2, 4, 5, 17*
Verizon: 2, 4, 13*
Tmobile: 2*, 4*, 12
Sprint: 25*, 26, 41
(*) denotes primary LTE band(s)
Looks like if you’re on T-Mobile you’re good to go, otherwise little or no LTE coverage.
Damn, Xiaomi made it to MKBHD. Now I feel like my hidden brand that nobody knows about has been exposed for the world to see and It’s not my hidden brand anymore :/
Thank you
Only on T-mobile, fully, others will probably support anything below LTE, but no guarantee.
woohooo good thing I have tmobile
They’re popular in China (/asian countries in general), which is a huge market. (China alone is 1.4 Billion people, which is 15+% of world population)
It has B4, so it has LTE for me 🙂
Does it work within UK?
Hmm is there any way to check if LTE would work here on Canada? Seriously need a phone upgrade, and this phone is looking awesome
Most xiaomi phones dont have Canadian LTE coverage… just 3g… and even some providers cant get the 3g. You need to look it up.
3g works on telus/bell/rogers though (and their sub-brands)
But thats for the mi5.. maybe this is different… doubt it though
Oh ho ho ho!
Supports 2/3 T-Mobile bands (no Band 12).
So, it will probably work on T-Mobile as long as you have decent coverage from them.
According to Wikipedia it should work for 4G on O2 but that other website I linked says otherwise. Apparently O2 does support Band 3 of this phone (1800MHz) but I really can’t be sure.
they are not popular in Europe and US. Samsung, Apple, LG, Huawei, HTC, Sony, ZTE, Lenovo, Nokia are much more common than Xiaomi. If you tell 1000 person the word Xiaomi in Europe at least 995 won’t know what it is on avarage imo.
I know I’m gonna try and import one of these suckers.
Literally my fantasy smartphone. I’m wanking off to this shit.
(yeah I probably got carried away here)
Sucks 🙁 I’m on O2. Is there anything I can do to use 4g on O2?
I just have to say, this phone looks absolutely gorgeous. I probably wouldn’t mind giving up 4G for this phone just for it
exactly 🙁
once it gets popular prices will increase
How about AT&T?
So does this phone not have LTE bands for it to work in the US? Considering buying one, damn this is a nice phone.
Please tell me this will work on US bands
and I dont doubt that. But I meant once they get at least on Huawei level on popularity, or more in anywhere except Asia.
It feels like you guys *don’t want to* understand what I’m trying to tell.
Going to wait and see how much it is off Aliexpress, then think about it.
I’m glad it made it to MKBHD. Xiaomi needs more recognition!
If anyone is from New Zealand, yes, this phone works with 4G from Spark, Vodafone and 2Degrees. They all support Band 3 at 1800MHz.
However this phone doesn’t work on Band 28 at 700MHz (rural areas). It should revert to 3G on these places.
Probably, hopefully it won’t affect their pricing anyway.
Hey, I know little to nothing about this kinda stuff, how could I find out if the phone works on my Canadian carrier Bell?
Frequency Check, you can sort over country or phone
I live in Canada… pretty sure we use same LTE bands as US, right?
