We recommend Xiaomi’s this model, really next generation phone which have data like Samsung.
If you don’t have money to buy Samsung or Huawei take this phone.

\+1 for Poco launcher
I upgraded from Pixel experience ROM on Redmi Note 4 (with paid Nova launcher) and eventually with with my new mi9T I have both Nova and Poco but for past week I have been enjoying Poco launcher a LOT!
Its something in between stock launcher and pixel launcher and really smooth!
You might be right
Pixels get the os first. Seems 1+ seems to be right up in there. Androidone are supposed to get the updates direct from Google but they are a lower tiered device as things have to be scaled down. It’s a slimmed down less resource version of stock Android. To run on lower end devices.
Thanks for that clarification mate. Much appreciated. I have another query that you might be able to help with.
I got my K20 Pro from ebay off a Chinese seller. Its a Chinese variant, but the seller flushed the global/EU ROM on it. My question is, do the update for that global ROM come from Xiaomi? Or is it up to the developers at XDA who made that global ROM available to the masses. I know that was probably a very dumb question to ask. But I am complete noob in this regard and just a little bit confused. Anyway, thanks. 👍
Poco Launcher is great. Many features, but most importantly, works just as well as stock.
I found Poco launcher the best.
Because they are the current most up to date. Easier to update. Their current money pool that they are trying to sell. If you are ready to buy a new phone right now to help make that decision wouldn’t you pick the one that’s getting the new OS first?
It’s how most businesses and how most android manufacturers do it. Start at the top and work their way down
Would really suck if it and the SE would get lost now after the success if the Ts..
unlock phone
install twrp
flash rom
OR
unlock phone
install [miui.eu](https://miui.eu) via fastboot
If you need further instructions just google what I’ve written and you’ll find better explinations
Horrendous battery on the exynos version, snapdragon fairs slightly better. Otherwise I found my perfect phone.
3-4hr SoT W Spotify connect / reddit / 30 mins of YouTube.
Exactly! I love those gestures, but it looks awful with a custom launcher. The problem is that I can’t even stand MIUI’s launcher – ugly icons, no app drawer, no customisation… I tried poco, and it’s a bit better but the animations are still not right with poco. Also it’s imo not as great as Nova or Evie. I’m waiting to flash stock Android Q, so I’ll have epic iPhone like gestures on any launcher, an I’m sure the animations will look better than MIUI’s even on its stock launcher 😁
Why did you get rid of the s10e? Just asking bc I’m thinking of getting the s10e… I have the s8 now. Thanksss.
I’ve always been kinda skeptical about Android One anyways. It sounded way too good to be true when it was first announced.
Got mine yesterday, Coming from s10e it’s a heavy phone. Getting the ringke Fusion X case.
This is perfect. I ordered this phone yesterday.
Ye, I agree. But you have to have a 3rd party launcher to do that, and that’s the problem with nav gestures.
Could you be so kind to do a step by step explanation with links as to how to do this on the mi 9t pro? 🙂 Huge ask i know but im clueless
I think I’ve read somewhere it will receive Android 10 in begin 2020
I also recommend lawnchair launcher. It’s a near pixel experience. I have stock cam and Google camera. Changed icon and renamed Google camera to “gCam”
Really quick, good one Xiaomi
I know it’s possible and that it works, but don’t you think the animation when going back to home screen is just horrible? It’s glitchy and doesn’t feel smooth at all..
Yeah, it looks like Xiaomi updates first the phones that get most of the hype and sold units.. it’s been pretty silend regarding updates to Mi 9 and Mi 9 SE..
I use Nova and have no problems with gestures. I use the Mi Gestures and Nova Gestures together.
Yes!
Hell yeah!🔥
I can hear that nervous laugh from here
I don’t have it on my pro yet.
It’s so easy to remove that shit
Xiaomi also has a “mint launcher” which is similar to poco launcher. Not sure what/if anything is different. Or why they have 2 but may be worth looking into.
First gen Android One phones received updates direct from Google, that kinda spoiled people.
What will happen to the Mi 9?
Sounds good. Android 10 doesn’t have support for third party launchers tho, so the problem persists. MIUI nav gestures and animations are fine for me, it’s just that stock and poco launcher sucks.
Cool to see that this phones filled with bloatware, spyware and adware will get the latest Android version before the AndroidOne ones.
Will it be a simple OTA update, or will I have to reflash the phone with the loss of all applications and settings?
If you have official Rom you will get ota update. If not official, chances are a reload update.
Really? On the global ROM? As far as I know, it’s only been released on the Chinese and Indian ROM. I would love to be proven wrong though.
What about the mi 9? Any news on that?
Nope. Most manufacturers support their flagships first.
Right. Why to release it first to the current flagship device…
Any news on when the Mi 9T Pro ( or Redmi K20 pro) is gonna get the update?
As far as I know it was still a Beta rom.
Xiaomi.eu
Just got mine a few days myself. The only thing which is annoying is the use of third party launchers with gestures. Animations sucks. And the stock MI launcher and poco launcher isn’t any good unfortunately.
Maybe install xiaomi.eu? They’re already on android 10
First of all, It doesn’t mean anything that if everyone does it then it’s fine. Spyware on phones is new to you? Go check some sources, you’ll see that Meizu perhaps has a smb connection to a weird Chinese domain, all the shit that happened with OnePlus too, and not to forget Xiaomi which has quite a lot of weird folders on your phone such as the log/tencent folder. Adware shouldn’t then be in anyway a reason to make yet more money, I bought the device, and if it is so cheap, it is because it is actually either made with cheap components (check Mi A3 and the whole under 300$ Xiaomi lineup) or cheap manufacturing/quality control (have you ever wondered why same phones could have a different fingerprint reader, or display or memory) or just because they are selling you at a fair price, keeping their revenues low. No one gives anything for free, they are not going bankruptcy because of selling phones for cheap.
I agree. I’ve been using Nova launcher and I sorta just put up with it
I just got miui 11 but based on Android 9:(. Will mi 9t get update to Android 10?
Shouldn’t be there in the first place.
No idea I didn’t write the article. I just shared it
Agree
This is one of them times when being right makes you sad. 😒
Hopefully android 10 will fix my Google Assistant with Pixel Buds.
Usually updates are country rollout phases. Rolling to 1 or 2 countries to start and monitor for issues. No major issues? Rollout to more. China/india were probably phase one. Also the diff variations of the Rom also factor as different changes/accomodations and testing need to be done in China vs global roms. But it’s very good chance if it rolls out for the device on any Rom in any country it will roll out to all (excluding any countries that have specific extra restrictions outside the standard which I don’t believe NA/EU has any)
I’m not 100% sure how all the different roms work yet. Only Xiaomi I have is MiA1 which is androidOne. But if it’s official China ROM or global rom then it should get updates from Xiaomi.
If it’s the custom EU Rom then I think you would have to wait for them to release an update. Again I’m not 100% sure but that’s what i have posed together in my head based o. The hundreds of threads on here I have read over the past year.
I will no more when I get my new devices…. Whenever Xiaomi decides to send them to me. 🙂
Already did,really pleasant surprise
It’s not possible to change separate icons. I want to e.g separate gcam from regular camera icon etc. Also, the shelf on the left side is useless. You can’t even add widgets there.
I have the XUNDD one, a Nillkin Super Frosted shield and now I’ve finally settled with a Spigen Tough Armor. Really sturdy and pretty grippy.
Update. https://www.androidcentral.com/android-10-could-roll-out-mi-9t-early-next-month?utm_source=ac_tw&utm_medium=tw_card&utm_content=79693&utm_campaign=social
What about mi 8 pro I’m on the mi 8 pro
Bloatware is on most devices. Not just Xiaomi. Samsung does it. Nokia does it. Lenovo does it. Even ms does t in Windows and all the hardware companies that make Windows PCs. His is not new to tech.
Spyware? Has this been proven or do you need some tinfoil?
Adware. I agree this one is a little new to me but they give options to disable. It’s there because it’s how they can make some money when they sell the devices so cheap.
Didnt even realize I had it. It updated to 10 the day I got it.
Any news on the Redmi note 7 pro or atleast miui11?
