Pain in The ass
Which rom are you using on which phone?
MIUI moment
MemeUI
As much as I like to dunk on MIUI this is not Xiaomi’s fault. You’re probably using a 3rd party launcher like NovaLauncher. A change they made for Android caused this issue for 3rd party launchers.
To mitigate this issue you can switch launchers back and forth, but its a temporary fix.
Why did you have to hit me with facts? I just wanna dunk on memeUI.
Try pixel experience rom
It also happens on my redmi note 10 pro, so I’m pretty sure is a common issue.
MIUI bad
Anything else good
Yeah its not stock launcher, and the solution for this dumb bug is force stop the system launcher
the solution for this dumb bug is force stop the system launcher
Didn’t know that thanks. It’s an annoying bug for sure
No need man
Are you able to arrange recent items horizontally; and can you swipe to close apps ? For me, swiping to close apps from recent items only works when it’s vertically set.
I use Microsoft launcher.
Maybe disable the system launcher via adb? That should be fine so long as you have a launcher like Nova installed.
I had the problem with both modes
Initial Android 11, where Miui12 is based had this issue but few months later they fixed that. I’m not sure if Miui had to be rewritten to adopt this change or Xiaomi intentionally didn’t update to new APIs but hopefully Miui 13 will fix this 3rd party launcher issue
Its weird that everyone complaints about MIUI, been using Xiaomi.eu for about 3 years and I never had an issue
What icon are you using?
I just sold my remi note 8 pro because I got a new car and android auto was not working with my phone or any other xiaomi i that i tried in the car. Every other brand of phone I tried worked flawlessly.
Rondo
but other roms fixed that all of em except miui
Time for change?
Yes, switch to custom rom.
Why to waste money buying other brand’s phone?
“and i have had an issue” typo?
Fixed
Who in their right mind uses MIUI? Xiaomi phones tend to be pretty well supported by custom ROMs.
Nova actually works just fine if you disable the stock launcher
I had allot of problems with my xiaomi note 9 pro allot of wifi issuesbi bought a second ohone to see if its my location where i use ky wifi i now got the motorola g60 no wifi problems at all
Common to phones from Xiaomi
Minorities are vocal. Have a look at the [neighbor thread](https://old.reddit.com/r/Xiaomi/comments/ruvp9u/does_anyone_having_a_mi_phone_with_no_bugs/) to have some perspective.
Also this subreddit historically is used for fixing problems with devices, you won’t come here to tell everyone that your experience was good.
Gosh I loved MIUI and was totally a fan… Until MIUI 10 🙃
Now I’m rockin’ on iOS, MIUI is still wonderful but full of bugs. I miss the colourful MIUI 8 and 9
Bruh memeui , i gate It, i installed a custom rom even of i still have a 1 year warranty
Maybe they are using underpowered devices and MIUI is not very kind to those devices. I didn’t have graphical glitches on MI 11x so far.
Funny. Seems like most are either on custom themes or roms but yet they blame Xiaomi. Care to elaborate?
You on official themes and roms?
> Care to elaborate?
Are you asking me to elaborate? Because my expirience has been smooth, I enjoy miui features, but I’m not a fan of system-breaking modifications.
Rocked mi5 for 4 years until battery died on xiaomi.eu weekly. No issues.
Now poco f2 pro with indonesia region miui (only becuse of built in call recording feature), being debloated via adb. Also no issues.
Would I have issues on stock EU rom? Don’t think so.
BTW how did you add the link?
“I modified my phone and now it doesn’t work, I blame the OEM”
But why isn’t this Xiaomi’s fault? It’s a MIUI bug and 3rd party launchers shouldn’t be breaking it.
Because Xiaomi’s are not the only phones with this annoying issue. I’ve seen cases like this on Pixel and OnePlus phones too. It’s fixable if the developers care enough, but Xiaomi is so random on which devices or firmwares they apply this fix to.
What rom are you using for daily driver? I got mi10t and idk which ROM are currently stable right now
Oh okay, I thought it was a MIUI-exclusive bug just like how navigation gestures don’t work with other launchers.
In using pe 12, its working fine, except for the earphone’s bluetooth connection wifh Is quite weak, the smartwatch has no problems, i sughest you this rom, but First check if It has some bugs and other things not working, maybe you’ll find another custom rom witch works good
Blaming Xiaomi for using a 3rd party launcher? Lmao. Complaining about such arbitrary reasons won’t gain you any sympathy from me. I’ve been using MIUI for nearly 3 years and haven’t had any issues. Go sit in a corner and cry somewhere else.

Sounds it hurts u
Plus i fixed the fuvcking bug by force stopping system launcher so i can blame Xiaomi for this fucking shit
Oh no, you had to take the time to figure out you need to force stop the launcher. What a catastrophic inconvenience, shame on those MIUI developers.
Yeah but in the opposite side in Samsung i didn’t need to do all this, so i need you to explain this?
Ohh okay, so you decided to spend less money to get better hardware with Xiaomi. And in turn, are now complaining because you had to click one button to force close the launcher? Stop crying about such little things.
“I don’t have issues, so stop complaining!”
I think your capacity for sympathy is quite low in the first place going by your post.
Because you don’t have issues doesn’t mean others can’t have legitimate gripes when they do. I hope you continue to have a smooth experience and don’t run into any issues.
Probably less custom components in the UI part. OneUI is probably closer to stock android than MIUI. But you probably know that.
