Spotted this Phone with the out of box protector on. How the hell do people use these.

I used to use this protector while my tempered glass was arriving
Same.
Great tip. Ive never tried the steam method, but I’ll give it a go next time.
Well lucky you i already scratched my rn4 on day 1
or with keys which is little bit more usual than metalpants or needles:P
plastic wrappers on the car seats 🙂
Did you know that people who do this are statistically 500% more likely to be serial killers?
I don’t like sand. It’s coarse and rough and irritating and it gets everywhere.
It’s not like the gorilla glass is invincible. My RN3P got its first scratch 1 year in. Granted, I live only 50km from the coast. So my chances of exposing my phone to sand is higher.
He said he’s at the highest level of silliness. It’s somewhere in that word salad.
Its the dust particles that always fuck me up. Bubbles I’m okay with.
Same, I botched applying mine and had to go to a shop to get a new one applied.
Yeah, it does look bad. No one said it doesn’t :P.
For example, here (Romania), screen covers that will properly fit your Xiaomi phone aren’t very common (for some reason) and you have to order from some specific shops that happen to also import Xiaomi products.
Better safe than sorry.

I remember a xiaomi keynote where they said on new redmi phones there are no words on the screen protector because they noticed people in india kept these protectors on…
If gorilla glass was that good 🙁
You know what will ruin their looks more? A permanent scratch
~~Indian~~ Som people’s mentality – “I bought this thing and I want it to be in factory prestine condition, hence I’ll never remove the factory protection stickers”
EDIT: Am Indian and I see this behaviour everywhere. I don’t wanna come across racist or anything, hence the edit.
I want my political candidates to state if they do this, and if they do I won’t vote for them. Can’t trust people who think that way.
I was tempted to do this until I got my new screen protector in the mail but it’s really annoying and took it off, totally regret it now I’ve got a bunch of scratches on my mi 6. Talk about quality materials… 🙁
I never scratched my phones when I had screen portectors but when I used my s8 plus without any I completely shattered the screen, but I think it’s mostly because of the edge screen, if you usually don’t drop your phone it’s fine, but it’s actually my little sister that dropped it so you never know
My friend still keeps the plastic wrap on his mi charger.
im using it on my mi a1 right now i have had it for 3 weeks.
The A1 came with a proper screen protector but i suck at putting them on, always get bubbles.
All my phones that don’t get a screen protector on instantly end up with scratches after a day or so
I said this is just a screen protector that you should remove after buying a phone. It’s there just for instruction purpose and nothing else. No aggro guys. I’ve just read 20 comments where people say they use this screen protector for some time. Isn’t it silly?
Same.
Same
nope, I have it in a pocket just on it’s own.
Peel it off.
And bubbles in the corner of the glass protecter, use a bit of cooking or olive oil on the edge, couldn’t belive it worked and now screen is perfect, good old YouTube
I use my phone like that untill I get a screenprotector. Usually phones ship with DHL (3-8 days) and if you order a screenprotector at the same time from aliexpress it takes about a month to arrive.
I thought you were supposed to keep it on. it looks nice… ( still have mine on :()
Microscratches, definitely
Foreigner living in India, can confirm.
same here, on the other side i got lot of microscratches which are visible only with direct sunshine on locked screen. i can live with that.
My aunt left the plastic on her lampshades, covered the couch in plastic and put plastic runners on the carpet in a vain attempt to protect her house from us teenagers.
*cringes *
Can you see the scratches in normal operation? If not then I wouldn’t worry.
