Is this India?
Idk seems like so
Nice but is there a difference recoding a video with GCam instead of the stock camera?
What speed did you used for Time lapse? And is that ultra wide camera?
feels slightly stuttery but for a 2year old phone not bad i guess
what version gCam did you use ?
Which Gcam version?
yes, bihar, india
don’t know what did you meant by recoding but i use H.265/HEVC video encoding in gcam
I think it was around 60x but I speeded it up to 1.5x in inshot video editor
yes, that’s beacuse of the wind and the fact that the phone had become really hot, that why the frame jumps
the 8.1
8.1 with almost everything working
What I meant is that, is there a quality difference when using GCam instead of stock camera?
can you give the link please ? really appreciate it
How do you recognize India from an antenna(?), partial foliage of a tree and a clouded sky
K20 Pro is one of the best favorite phones of me
Not OP but here you [go](https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/android/google-camera/)
I don’t think there’s but I have seen that gcam doesn’t have sharp exposure jumps in timelapses

Nice improvement from stock!
i think op’s tripod is just shit, looks like a photo timelapse instead of a video timelapse since theres a lot more dynamic range.
Isn’t Gcam Google Pixel’s app? How did you get it on Xiaomi’s phone?
People had found where a flag in a dark Room was located using Sun exposure Time. I’m not even surprised !

He was was correct tho it is india
I don’t know but it feels like every country or at least every part of the world has some different contrast and color. I actually play this “little game” when i turn my computer every day, with the Windows 10 Lockscreen.. It changes it daily with a random photo from bing, and I try to guess where is from. And you will be surprised, at the very least I get the region right 9 out of 10 times. And my guesses are all based on the color/contrast/sky.
Does using gcam get rids of some features like using the macro camera and other stuff or all of the features still the there?
I don’t know about the macro camera as there isn’t one on k20 pro but all the three lenses, wide, normal and 2x works fine with gcam. Yes there’s a lag while switching the lenses but it doesn’t really matters to me. My gcam does have all the features except it lags and doesn’t records slo mo videos with normal lens.
I don’t think you should as there are plenty of sd 865 options available at the same price.
Actually I have completely made my phone a pixel 5(it does shows pixel 5 on find my device) using custom ROM (these are different firmwares made from Android open source code) Mine is Evolution X, and is visually stunning. So, I also try to use almost all the Google pixels products (although I still have ANX camera which is basically same as MIUI camera made for custom ROMs).. technically you can use Google pixels Camera on any Xiaomi smartphone as it comes as apk which is modded to work with non pixel devices
Yes, considering that this video is shot using the wide angle lens.
Trust me I have done the photo timelapses (even upto 2000 photos) but this one is directly from gcam. While editing I was also surprised to see a lot of dynamic range from the wide angle lens. And, I don’t think my tripod is shit as it is really heavy plus I put my dslr on it to do astrophotography. I think it was really windy day and someone has messed up with the tripod while it was capturing the video.
I have stabilized the video for you: https://gfycat.com/FaintDependableBaleenwhale
It took 117 seconds to process and 47 seconds to upload.

Sorry did not mean it like that.
I thought g cam natively uses video timelapses as opposed to photo timelapses. I’ll be honest, I’m not too familiar with video timelapses, because of my past experiences with lack of dynamic range and exposure shift over time (golden hour) I’ve avoided using it.
If this is native timelapses I’d think I can afford to use my phone as a backup when I’m shooting with my mirrorless as the primary. Would love to see how this makes a timelapse in low light!
Its okay. I don’t think you’ll get decent low light video timelapses with your phone as the sensor isn’t capable of shooting photos in fraction of second with sufficient amount of light. Even though with normal DSLR/MICR it’s hard to capture video timelapses (unless you have sony a7s2/s3) In low light, photo timelapses is the only option you got
Nice
Nah, mi 9t pro is better. 😛
You need to root phones to install a custom ROM correct?
Doesn’t that void your warranty?
And also, afaik, some more sensitive apps like banking apps, may refuse to work on rooted devices.
How do you do that?
It’s very simple…. Turn on the gcam, switch to video mode and then timelapse. Set speed to 60x and then press the capture button. After shooting you can edit video like increasing the shadows, bring down the highlights and increase the sharpness.
Are they just the same?
