I can’t believe how cheap the Mi A1 is getting. It’s honestly unbelievable value for €180 at this point. Who said you even need to spend 200 to get a nice phone?
May be they have bought this CPU in huge amount in a discount. May be that’s how Xiaomi is able to provide us such value for money.

France : on official french retailers it’s 199€ (32gb) and on gearbest etc it’s 140€. The A1 isn’t sold officially here, only via gearbest but iirc pricing is similar as the note 5

Yes but fuck AliExpress. No customer protection whatsoever. You’re crazy if you spend money you can’t afford to lose there. If you don’t have it in your country, either GrossoShop or The Solution Store or buy something else with warranty.

It did but this is why you don’t buy a phone from AliExpress, but from Amazon. It could have happened to an iPhone X, it could have happened to a OnePlus 6, it just so happened that I got a defective A1.
