If anybody sees this, pls ignore it. You don’t need to do that, it will probably put your phone in danger. I see that this account was just created to put this comment.

Fellow Mi9t user and this also worked for me.

I also experienced it on my Redmi Note 9(Global) last night after connecting to the Wi-Fi. I sort of “fixed” it by clearing the app data of the Security app.

It knows you’re looking for it.

Same it’s happening to me!

# How I “fixed” it:

1. Go to settings
2. Apps
3. Manage apps
4. Search for *”Security”*
5. Open *”Security”* app
6. Hit “Clear data”
7. “Clear all data”
8. Enjoy

If Xiaomi see this: **I suggest to modify the way they display these notifications/alerts, because if a bug eventually happens (which it seems to be this case) we literally can’t use the phone and this is unacceptable.**

If for some users “Clear all data” it’s not enough, do the same process and remove the updates from this app.

Mi 9t user here, for me “Clear data” just stopped the pop-up for a few seconds and after that it came right back. Uninstalling the update was the only solution that worked. So if the above does not work – uninstall the update for the Security app

maybe they will release a system udpate

You can’t uninstall because it’s a preinstalled system app clearing all cache data helped me otherwise uninstall all updates from it

Go to settings -> apps -> manage apps -> security -> you will find the option to uninstall the update all the way down

Finally it works for me too i didn’t clear data or cache i just uninstall update 😢😭 i wish it never pop up again 😤

I have a similar problem but it’s not with Security keeps stopping
It’s with “Notifications stopped working”

I even uninstalled the update, and whenever I leave my phone for a while I find the same problem like the update keeps getting auto-installed …

This was SO HARD because the pop up kept on appearing on me trying to find the right option in settings and I had to press cancel every 3 sec. But thank you so much.

Excellent advice. Its sorted my Mi9T after an evening of frustration with warning messages every few seconds. I was contemplating more severe action such as factory reset so thankfully that’s not required now.

No it will not delete any of your personal items, you only reset the data and casch to default in the security app. so if you done any settings in the app before, you need to set the same settings back to what you prefer.

I’m on a xiaomi pocophone and I have the same problem. I started noticing about 20minutes ago. I tried rebooting my phone and I still have the problem.

EDIT: Thanks to everyone giving me directions! I did it (uninstall updates) and it’s fixed now!
