Again. *Comprehension.*
A new control center has been leaked and it’s just the miui control center with moved icons🤣🤣
New xing dong gong spiware gets another name.
It’s becoming less customisable nowadays. I’d consider MIUI 11 as the peak of miui. and the themes available in that age was just phenomenal.
it’s not a new UI it’s just rebranding of MIUI, updates for core apps already available, it’s just another MIUI update with the change of name to HyperOS
I would like to know too
Can I dream? In HyperOS, when opening a phone application, two advertising banners will be displayed, and after connecting to a subscriber there will be voice advertising. Xiaomi is the best!
I’ve seen the leaks, the things that are new are quite nice. The biggest new feature that has been leaked so far is the new theming engine for the lock screen.
It will launch alongside the Xiaomi 14 series. Phones that are eligible for MIUI 15 update will get HyperOS instead.
No
Soundsnlike hyperOS will be exclusive for high end smartphones.
The midrange and low end eill continue with miui15
Because about half a dozen manufacturers have claimed this multiple times, and pretty much in every case they’ve spray painted the existing turd, polished it, then tried to sell it as 24k gold.
so it’s just a MIUI update with changed name to HyperOS.
The logo itself has the harmony OS vibes, so probably, but with gms compatibility
It’s just a rename. They are still using Android and I don’t anticipate huge changes outside of China aside from the name change.
Confirmed by VP of Xiaomi Global, https://twitter.com/atytse/status/1714107041940418571?t=4Lhb1vJvt4hh2cKVdEAiOQ&s=19 .
Well, it’s either a big change like TouchWiz to OneUI in Samsung or just a rename MIUI.
But again, I highly doubt they’ll drop those monetizations they have used on MIUI since 7 or 8. The company won’t survive that. At worst, they’ll stop putting ads on but increase the price and end up like another enthusiastic brand OnePlus.
Right? It’s why I stopped buying Xiaomi devices.
If I can not customise an $800 Android flagship, I might as well be using an iPhone (which I refuse to).
Do you think it will be like HarmonyOS? AOSP without google services?
Yay.
Time to switch to iPhone
fuck U mi, resource for aosp not OS! you just a thief like huawei
This sounds like that time when Samsung “replaced” TouchWiz with OneUI. The same underlying OS, with a different “cleaner” UI and a bit less bloatware.
Anyway, I’ll keep using custom ROMs as long as they allow bootloader unlock.
>built from the ground up
Why does it feel like I’ve heard that statement before
So like is this their own OS or completely new skin for android so they are rebranding it?
Either way, I just hope it looks like MIUI, I love it’s look.
Dont like this… I think this could be the end of [Xiaomi.EU](https://Xiaomi.EU) and the Pure MIUI Project.
Are U dreaming Samsung CEO Dreams?
Then you have not quite understood the meaning of the project. The purpose of the project was to remove a lot of bloatware and add additional features.
Same, I have no other complaint with miui
When I had the S20FE I had no issue but with the 12T it’s so struggling lol
hehe, LineageOS goes brrrrrr
I have no problem with that but I will probably step away from xiaomi like what I did with oneplus
what are they replacing? It’s not a new Android overlay/fork build from scratch, it’s same codebase just slightly changed.
While here I am with my BlackShark 4 Pro still stuck on Android 11 JoyUI 12
Is there a way to flash lineage os without using a pc or laptop? I’m not sure why the developers have recently (within the last year) begun to make ROMS that require a “special” version of (insert recovery here) in order to flash some other custom ROMS. What ever happened to the good old days where you could reboot to your favorite recovery, wipe, format, fish and reboot? I hope I got those in the right order. I use a Redmi note 10 pro “sweet”.. there used to be some really great roms that were easy to install. If you are a developer, please don’t take this the wrong way.. Are developers getting lazy, hence the more hoops one has to jump through in order to install a new custom ROM, or are they just making the process harder and more specific to load their versions of the ROM to keep people from switching between 2 or 3 different ones to decide which one they want to use as a daily driver?
Yep. MIUI from ver. 12.5 ‘enhanced’ has been as great as the golden era MIUI verd. 5-7.
it’s the first UI design change they are doing since MIUI 12 so i’m happy for it.
Hopefully there are a lot of things solved (mostly on global, a lot of problems are already solved on EU).
I hope they keep dual space
I think it will be fine, since their language support is mostly done by Xiaomi themselves already since they’re selling devices globally.
In the past they only had EN/CN in MIUI roms by default, all translation was done by the [Xiaomi.eu](https://Xiaomi.eu) community.
Removing ads, deodexing, Google apps support, and GPS optimization for use in Europe are more common custom rom features, those can be easily implemented in the new Phoenix OS again.
Xiaomi.Eu will renew like the phoenix
I don’t think the problem is if it allows it or not. That’s not how an OS software works. The problem probably is the 3rd party launcher not implementing it properly. Gestures work natively so a)there is no reason for it to not work and b) it’s hard to purposefully (or by a bug) to not allow 3rd party launchers to not use gestures. It takes work and there is no benefit to it. Especially for a company of phones that provide guides on how to unlock them and you to flash software safely as well as application to do it.
From the official statement, it’s clear that this new OS has been built from the ground up. It’s not a rebrand since the technology under the hood will be much different.
dang, I will need to re-root my phone.
I swear this is the only thing I care about
Same wine, different bottle
I am gonna use it as it is as a car navigation, and music listening. I moved to a older model iPhone and the jump is amazing. Xiaomi was not this responsive when it was new in the box. I rather pay a bit more than kill my own nerves with a phone that cannot do simple tasks like boot-ul in a normal time, when press contacts it opens the moment u press not in 10seconds, like while you browse internet the browser stops responding.
MIui 15 has betas, so maybe some older devices will get MIUI 15 and some newer will get HyperOS? We will also see in a week if it´s just a rebrand, or redesign as well.
Who do you guys think they copied this time?
It’s one of the features I gave to a rep to pass along to the dev team so fingers crossed, but I’m not sure
Dont know man… Its sooo extensive. They dont even want to make a ROM for the Mi Tablets. Starting from scratch is such a pain
And after 9 years of using Xiaomi, my switch to Samsung has simultaneously been confirmed 😂
Oh, My bad, I thought they were basically just ditching everything from miui
Lower end devices tend to be abandoned quickly, i wouldnt get your hopes up
feeling bad,
guess how many backdoors can ccp put into that **OS**
will see but i highly doubt that it will have drastic changes. Updates for base apps like Gallery, File Manager, Security, System UI plugin, Notes, Launcher already available and it has same design language just some minor changes and improvements.

Screw you MIUI, not even the latest security update for MIUI 13 arrives on my Poco X4 Pro, not even MIUI 14.
Miui is the most customizable ui in the android market. Are you a troll?
Just like MIUI, but MSA baked in so it can’t be revoked?
Apologies. I unwittingly ended up replying to the wrong comment.
Til when do we expect this to launch, for us to see what’s new?
That’s what companies always say… Won’t believe it till I see it, will need actual confirmation from outside sources.
They are replacing MIUI, most things will be redone in order to fit the new design language.
I wonder if if will work good with Android Auto since MIUI and Android Auto are like buggy together
Interesting! Thanks!
Cause there wouldn’t be a need anymore.
It’s gonna be the same support, same everything, but better.
Also finally a chance to ditch MIUI regions in favour of one OS for all
It’s still going to be Android after all so there’s not much of a build up from the ground up really.
let’s see if this doesn’t get to say goodbye to xiaomi. the past few year the f\*cked up every software they touched
Not denying what U say cause its true but Xiaomi phones aint about the Software IT comes with they have Hardware for a good price plus you have the Option to unlock IT and hence so Change the os to Something you Like or worthy of the Hardware.
Which yeah for a normal User aint maybe an Option but everyone Else id still recommend cause IT aint that hard and Like i Said the price Makes IT worth!
Again only If you know how to or are able to learn or Google the way.
I’m not sure, but probably not. I think that existing flagships that are still supported may get the update.
It hasn’t (according to [this](https://miuipolska.pl/hyperos-nowa-nakladka-xiaomi/) article, which is in Polish so you’ll have to either translate it or trust me). It’s based off MIUI 15, apps are referring to MIUI 15
Well, actually, you can.
You are just one `adb` command away from it
I am kinda excited, because I hate MIUI. I hope UI is nice and simple
Better than Harmony OS
I really hope that Google is going to stay because I can’t live without it.
Good news for you, head of Xiaomi.eu team stated that they will continue releasing ROM updates, hyper os is not a problem, lead dev Igor also stated that he was able to successfully boot android 14, which is good news.
Source: https://xiaomi.eu/community/threads/igor-are-we-getting-screwed-on-hyper-os-releases.70338/#post-703583
I’ll go out on a limb and say that I’m one of the few that actually likes MIUI. It’s what started their company and I rocked MIUI ROMs on LG and Lenovo phones even before they released their first phones with it. And when they did, it was almost always a hit because their phones had insane value. Never really understood all the compaints about the ads. They were mostly easy to remove/disable.
These past few years I’ve moved away from Xiaomi because of their hardware changes that followed the industry standard, (ie, getting rid of sd cards and audio jacks in their higher end offerings). With them moving away from MIUI, It’s the end of an era, I guess.
Miui 14.0.17 is stuck @45% sync
May be, it means All our offices are on the first floor
All I want to know if this new skin will allow for gesture navigation, when using third party launchers.
That’s it.
Nah, Kartikey confirmed that every phone that WOULD get MIUI 15 will get HyperOS.
Will the Poco x3 pro be able to get this is if the Xiaomi eu dev decides to continue the project with the new os?
Oh well. Was nice while it lasted. 🤷🏽♂️
I quite literally just got a xiaomi pad 6. Is this a bad thing for me?
I’m not 100% sure about it, but all we can do is cross our fingers.
Xiaomi try not to change something every few weeks challenge (Impossible)
Why?
It’s more of a replacement than a rebranding.
My comment above
Hyper mf Data leak
1 month late, nope.
Gesture navigation works perfectly with native launcher. Wtf u been smoking?
Turn the dark mode off and on again
Yeah, I think so.
If it will ever have a global release, it probably will have Google services, since they are planning to phase out MIUI after V15 (or V14)
You mean the swipe up for home / swipe sideways for back gestures? I’ve always been able to use them with my 3rd party launchers on my Mi 9 though?
Does my redmi 10c get this hyperOs since my phone is on MIUI 14
Honestly? I thought the same when I saw the color scheme
Which does not allow for the use of gesture navigation when using third part launchers.
Can you not read?
It’s not only MIUI that is buggy with Android Auto, I’ve heard that other OSes also struggle with it.
I was planning to get the Xiaomi 13… Hopefully they release it for that too also.
Moved from the sucky Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 phone to something else, because Xiaomi the moment they update a version to a higher one they put shitloads of adds on the phone. First and last time i buy this brand. The moments after the update you realize the phone went from decent phone to a shitphone full of errors and of “stopped responding” errors during basic use.
Try installing manually
Please work on your comprehension skills.
Hyper Schmyper
Seems good sarcasm still makes me laugh lmao
Safe to say MIUI will not be missed 😀
