Doubt it. It’s and Android 11 thing, not MIUI, as fas as I know.

And the messenger chathead is ruined. It becomes square and whenever I want to type, the keyboard is blocking the typing field.
Yup. The full screen gesture is broke in 3rd party launcher.
I already have it tho….

I thought i am the only one who can’t stick to one thing. Sometimes using buttons feels much faster as you said.
Oh god I hope they fix the bug in miui 12.1.1 on Mi note 10 lite.
Hopefully thin this update I’ll be able to use full screen gestures with a third party launcher again

Always wanted to just hop in my car and connect instantly without having to directly wire myself to get Maps or Spotify going.
That and not having to aim for the buttons, you can just do the gestures without paying much attention.
I am really wondering when the MIUI12 update will be released for Redmi 5 Plus.
God I didn’t even know double tapping the recent button did. Turned off gestures to try it and there is no comparison. It is so much quicker.
I guess the big plus for gestures is you gain some screen real estate by getting rid of the bar. Pretty tough to go back to that
I found another workaround. When watching a stream, swipe down from the control center and tap the gear icon to go into settings. Settings will open with mini player.
There’s plenty of people who don’t use gestures and you could split the bottom swipe gesture.
I need the sync button back…
I just tried and I managed to get a Twitch miniplayer, both within and outside twitch. It was a bit finicky though and I accidentally activated Google assistant in the process. I swiped to the left from the bottom right corner
How have they not place the control center at the bottom of the screen?
You can’t keep making giant phones and hope people can reach across.
Also I noticed the mini player in e.g. twitch doesn’t show up when I use gestures and minimize a running stream on twitch app.
I feel like switching apps is much faster double tapping the recents button. You can argue that sliding your finger across the full-screen anchor line is fast, but I find it inconsistent if switching between several different apps or switching apps with a context switch in between.

I’m always switching between gestures and no gestures. Can’t stick to one. I like the fluidity of gestures but in some cases, eg. going backwards, no gestures is faster.
