Bah exynos no need to say another word.
Well of course samsung it’s overheating. Trash exynos is trash since many years.
Lol won’t happen they don’t release sources zero ROMs
Exynos is competition to Qualcomm, so that’s a positive thing.
But you are right, performance and battery life are terrible compared to Qualcomm.
Mediatek comeback like amd? Looks like that to me
Too bad all the gcam mod sucks on Mediatek.
There’s something seriously f’d up with the drivers
Competition is great for the market and for us, consumers. We should hope that Mediatek keep pushing it, and not only that, but Samsung improve their Exynos line-up. They need their own Ryzen… lol
I think the costumers who live in markets samsung offers exynos should boycott samsung. What a fucking shame is this? I’ve already known that long-term battery performance of exynos sucks but this is whole another disgrace.
Samsung’s hardware in their phones is some of the best in the Android market, but their propietary Exynos chips are not it. This is unacceptable for a phone of this price.
Exynos is scam product..
Mediatek should take out qualcomn in order to be the “amd”. Anyway amd themselves is partnering with samsung on the graphics side of exynos that will be released next year. Initial reports are in and it is 3 times faster than 865s gpu. If samsung doesnt fuck up the cpu side of things, we will get a beast of an soc.
They are making a comeback in the budget – mid-range segment for sure. The only thing they have to sort out is their nm process for those processors. While Qualcomm has 8 and 7nm for their 730G and 720G respectively, Mediatek is still stuck on the older 12nm process on the G90T. So this means that Mediatek does not have good battery efficiency compared to the Qualcomm versions.
Well it’s an Exynos against a Mediatek, so I would say it’s a fair comparative.
Does AMD even manufacture mobile processors?
Just wait for their amd gpu partnership
What’s more confusing is how an exynos that has on paper more powerful on both its CPU and GPU, as well as manufactured on 7nm as opposed to 12nm manage to consume more power on similar workload
It would be great to have a good competitor against Qualcomm, I still remember the times when a Snap 8xx serie smartphone cost about 250-300€. I loved my Mi5 for 3 years and only paid it like 230€
Samsung is partnering for new line of mobile gpus with them. The recent slides I saw had phenomenal performance increase for midrange vs current gen midrange
U don’t know what you are talking about
Not until they support their socs and publish the sources asap.
Till then mediatek is even worse than Samsungs exynos
What I don’t get it is there are 2 versions of said devices with different chips. I wouldn’t want to pay the same price with inferior chip in it.
Wow. I can’t wait then! Are they 5G?
I think it has something to do with global licensing.
G90T has G76 with 4 cores. Exynos 990 has G77 with 11 cores. Even if exynos’s GPU is the exact same one as mediatek, it’ll still have 2.5x more cores
I have the note 8 pro, good phone
