Isn’t the 855 actually more efficient
and lesser ram too.. enough reasons to go for note 5 pro.
Does it support widevine L1?
you can’t change the battery size
What about Netflix in HD?
The 90hz is what most people will be using on the phone and is the main reason why you’d buy it. I think it’s perfectly fair to run all phones as intended by the manufacturer.
But that’s the thing, the OP7 pro is expensive, and when you pay for a flagship you want to use all it’s features. If people would start using the OP7 pro a 60hz then it’s basically a downgraded version which isn’t even worth buying
Difference in cpu efficiency
that’s what I’m doing rn.. too much work and also security issues.
Lol. The second biggest smartphone company in the world (Huawei) is Chinese loosing only for samsung
I’m getting the same battery life with my custom rom as well. I would’ve sold this phone if not for the custom room, and I’m a person who uses a phone for 3 years.

But the screen refresh is MEANT TO BE 90Hz.
Glad to help, bro.
I don’t mind buying Chinese brands forever if they change their ui.
Could someone explain why the redmi k20 lasts half hour more than the redmi k20 pro? iirc is 8 nm vs 7 nm?
My Redmi K20 carbon black is on the way to me 🙂
A lot I think but they needed an “extra feature”
but there were other features sacrificed in that phone, which I need even more.
Miui is not that bad. I was a stock android guy before buying redmi note 7. All phones were running near to stock or custom rom like lineage. After i started using miui, it is not that bad. Only thing is notification handling that i hate. The bloat i just debloated it in adb including the msa and analytics. Now it doesn’t contact xiaomi, checked it myself and ota works fine and only need to debloat with a factory reset. All inbuilt features are useful for me like screen recording with audio, app lock, dual apps, scrolling screenshot etc. For all these i have to install a seperate application in custom roms.
I like custom roms, but at present it takes away widewine l1, cat and mouse game with safetynet. Many apps are starting to check safetynet. Olden times were golden anything you put it will run.
And it depends on personal preference. You may not like miui, but I hated miui because everyone was bashing it. First thing i done was request for bootloader unlock. Those 15 days waited to unlock bootloader I used debloated miui and it was fun. Although i went to custom rom and came back again to miui with locked bootloader. I think it is easier to debloat than installing custom roms, twrp and maintaining that forward.
I wonder how the K20 compares to the Note 7, I got mine about a week ago and I’m really impressed by the battery life so far.
banking apps on my phone works fine and I don’t watch Netflix on my phone so I never tested that quality. so I guess I’m good for now.
True
And I liked the joke “Intel’s 10 nm”.. Subtle…
Widewine l1 is certification to play netflix and amazon at 1080p. With a unlocked bootloader it changes to l3 and max quality is 540p. And unlocked bootloader fails safetynet which results in banking apps stop running on phones and some other apps disappears from playstore. Can use magisk to avoid, but google patches it and again this happens and have to wait for magisk patch. If you hate ui itself then better option is custom rom. But usually miui bugs i had never reappeared after a reset. My experience with redmi note 7 is good. Don’t know what comes ahead. If some annoying bugs may be I will change the phone. Need so many apps that won’t work with rooted phones.
Yes
Do you happen to know any article or review where it’s being reviewed for this particular case?
the battery life is mostly thanks to the software optimization
a custom rom throws optimization out the door
Lots of them are getting Android one. I’m currently using a mi a2 lite with pure Android , 7 hours sot, sd card, double Sim, finger print scanner, ir blaster, it’s basically reddit’s perfect phone.
“Reno” was the runner up
That’s because Android one takes less ram.

It definitely has a 4gb version. Anyway, just wanted to mention that phone. I’m not trying to tell you you were wrong not to get it.
There is no 8 nm mate…
Because it is rigged AF. Different settings, different brightness, different scenarios, different recording circumstances. The hell with these “reviewers”.
I saw all details and information on Xiaomi’s own website .
Check this link out : https://mi.com/es/mi-9-t/#overview
nope
the mi9 performed worse on the 2nd test aron did
it might me some kind of bug with the mi9
Yeah, out of the box.
It may overtake apple soon but who knows, let’s wait and see.
But… DOES IT HAVE NFC?
There’s a 3gb ram and 4gb ram version, perfectly usual amounts. To be honest I have a lot of apps and still a lot of ram available.
Are the default settings
I just want to see how much battery backup improves if OP7 pro is on 60Hz
It doesn’t have NFC and has a slightly lower cpu but I’m still using it to do emulation just fine. It’s a pretty well rounded budget phone.
The lite version does!
Apple fanboy spotted 🚫
ok tim
I used miui for 3-4 months and it had a lot of bugs to at that time. and I hate the UI itself except for very few useful features. And my point is, you shouldn’t have to do all this crap when you buy a phone, just using it out of the box would be nice.
>at present it takes away widewine l1, cat and mouse game with safetynet.
and I don’t know what all this means.
Considering every phone got different nits, isnt a pointless comparison.
You can buy their phones and flash custom roms.
Reno was the second last phone standing
It’s a fair comparison. People also forget the screen is the largest out of them all. I think the 7 pro did really well.
now to mention xiaomi is just bellow apple
Let him face a Zenfone 6 now
This guy also set Oneplus 7 Pro’s res to HD. I reckon Mi 9 would’ve beaten it otherwise.
https://www.gsmarena.com/xiaomi_redmi_k20-9720.php
it was between mi a2 and note 5 pro and I had to buy the latter cause mi a2 doesn’t have a headphone jack.
if there is a way to make similar settings on all phone then you should because it affects the battery very much
It supports Netflix up to HDR.
Thanks mate, really appreciated
There is more to the test than just screen brightness. Very bad test, which one might call “fastest battery drain settings used” instead of fair comparison.
That’s like saying it’s unfair because they have different battery sizes.
but it’s unfair when other devices are running on 60hz and OP7 pro on 90Hz
In real life it’s not.
r/madlads
not me. and there was no 4 GB ram version.
People want to compare the battery lifes in normal usage. Why would you want to skew the comparison? People also compare GPU’s with stock settings and it would be stupid to over/underclock some of them in a test.
Slower CPU uses less power.
Not even running all the phones at same brightness? Pointless comparison. Waiting for better comparisons.
Edit:
Not completely pointless, but still would be preferable.
