Xiaomi needs to open (more) stores in the Balkans.
With these prices they’d corner the market.
Almost everywhere i look there’s a Xiaomi user, telling people to buy one.
I remember when Redmi phones used to be 5 inch ones and the note lineup had the bigger screen. Even with small bezels, 6.26 inches feel a bit too large on the Redmi 7.
Wow, a substantial upgrade fom the Redmi 6 (Which imo just sucked) It has a miles faster SoC (The p22 just SUCKS-Slow, no development) a much bigger battery, better cameras, a notched diaplay, an ir blaster, a waterproof coating and a gradient design. What more can you ask for?
I’m currently using a Note 5 pro but my Redmi 4 Prime was the perfect size for a phone I found.
I’m a big dude with big hands and still find the bigger phones kind of suck for one handed use
I wish there was an updated Redmi 4 with same frame but full front screen, SD 63x and same capacity battery.
Micro USB? Or USB C?
Dirt Cheap
Every word you said is true.
I don’t know.. [Here is the launch video](https://youtu.be/BNBQTBEcZyw) maybe you can find out..
Maybe it’s the big batteries in slimmer bodies.. Or most likely that’s the demand on the market..
This is kinda dumb tbh… I dont think a 1080p Display is that much more expensive… They basically try to create artificial downsides so people buy the more expensive models – just like the iphone XR lol
Yep, I’m one of those users allways recommending xiaomi..
I use one, my dad uses one, sister uses one, and every person that is younger and not considered rich uses one.
I know atleast 10 people that would visit Belgrade this month to buy a Xiaomi phone that costs this much with just for the guarantee.
I hate having to order their stuff over Ali Express, because there’s no guarantee and the shipping through customs is a nughtmare.
Me too.
I bought my dad one 3 years ago, then myself one because i liked his one so much and we both rock it as our daily.
I’d rather buy a 450 euro Mix 3 with a Guarantee in Belgrade and travel ti get it repaired, than a Samsung at a local Internet servise provider.
Yes, I allways recomanded people to buy the redmi 5 instead of the 6. This 7 is a really big upgrade in the lineup..
Can we sign a petition to make this happen?
Like ask Xiaomi to open stores in Skopje, Belgrade and Zagreb? Or atleast one
The resolution is indeed on the low side but if the colors and contrast look good it might be fine.. My sister has an S2 with same resolution and never complained, so it might be fine..
slava bratu. some crazy \*\* give all Xiaomi subredit downvotes.. we know he is lazy american
Ko ga jebe.
Kad je glup da placa 1000 dolara za nesto sta ce smeniti naredne godine, ili pre ako mu u visoku solju propadne.
Zagreb already has one
They are opening a store in Belgrade
I wanna buy one just for the sexy black red gradient color
Wait for real?
When, where? Like a real Xiaomi store or another store working under xiaomi license?
Where? And is it a store working under xiaomi license or a real Xiaomi store
Mi store, if I understand correctly. In have shopping center. I saw some announcement in their official FB page, mi Srbija or sth like that
Hvala
Makes the non-pro Note 7 a bit of hard sell tbh, not much that the Note has that this doesn’t.
Too big. I cant see the point of this size having Redmi note 7 there for little bit more cash. This should have been 5.5-5.9 inches.
Redmi 4 hit the sweet spot for size. I am using the same phone now and even though I want to upgrade because there are so many new ones in the market, I don’t want to give up on this one.
Micro USB ?
Arena Centar. It’s an authorized store, but I think all of them in Europe are. The prices are in line with what you’d expect, quite a bit higher than in China because of our 25% VAT.
they opened it on friday, they have all this in store https://www.mi-srbija.rs/list
but of course its more expensive than buying from kupujemprodajem
There is a catch I bought mi a2 lite in Jan, speaker notch stopped working. Now I have to find a spare for it. Mean time forced to use earphones or turn loud speaker on.
They a bit delicate the phones??
In Ušće shopping center, sorry autocorrect
Why would you need shops? Buy online… easier
I don’t get a guarantee online and I’d have to ship it back.
Also the usual wait time is 45 days
There is one in Zagreb, they were the first to get Mix 3 in Europe. They have almost every their gadget. I also always recommend Xiaomi phones.
Tesko je razmuiti takve ljude
Micro USB
Considering how many they sell there must be a few that have issues.. Also the quality control is not as good as on the expensive phones for sure..
I agree yes. I remember reading sb got a mi9 delivered without a flash! So qc may not be top notch. Bought mine in Dubai(where they have an explosion in no of shops within few months, they didn’t have many shops selling mi phones 2-3 months ago) at a xiaomi shop, run by a Chinese guy.
Mebbe he gave me a faulty one it was the cheapest place….
Di je taj?
Na zadnjem katu Arene, bio sam nekidan super je. Uzet cu Mix 2s
Am I missing something? Wasn’t Redmi (not Note) line supposed to be smaller? Why put this thing on the market at all? The price difference is not substantial, why would anyone buy this over Redmi Note 7?
the 2gb ram variant is almost 30% cheaper than the cheapest note 7. this size is most likely what most people want, and for millions of people that price difference is significant.
so basically they just made the cheapest best possible phone in the size that most folks want.. in countries with low income this makes a lot of sense, in richer countries you have the note and the pocophone..
Kak se zove? Bas je Mi Store?
Mi Store tocno tako
You’re right. They made this too big. My wife is still using a Redmi 3 Pro because the R5 and R6 are too big, now the 7 is even bigger. It’s getting way out of hand, literally.
What are the physical dimensions of the phone? That is crucial for me – if I would like a larger phone then I would buy Note version. Always loved form factor of non-note Redmi phones.
Not sure but should be about the same as the note..
Take my upvote you bastard.
Sarajevo needs one, people buying zte , alcatels and those leagoos but for almoust the same price they could get a decent xiaomi
The worst thing is people buying from Mtel and other providers. I’ve worked for 2 of them as a door to door salesman. Every time i met a nice person i walked away fron the sale because they were nice. Their phones either have a bug (and they know it), are B or even C grade condition, and usually have water damage so when you take it to get repaired they screw you over.
I guarantee you that if you bought the phone from shop, and took it to a repair service they host, they’d say it has water damage. Just make sure to film yourself going from the store to the shop and opening it before handing it to them.
Mtel needs a lawsuit as big as a CVS receipt
The catch is the 2gb ram..
this or A2 ?
and their contracts are mostly shite
Not mostly, all of the. Are shite.
I live in skopje now and i pay 20km for unlimited calls and messages in the country to any provider plus international minutes and 10gb of Internet.
Fuck Mtel and fuck everyone who’s making decisions in that place.
Samsung Galaxy S2 skyrocket HD??
Ok I’ll bite.
How does a 2GB device make sense in 2019? Just how… RAM’s over after you install 4 apps.
Redmi 7 is 1080p
Theres 3/32 and 4/64 versions as well. The weak point is the cpu, its about on par with the M20/M30 using the Exynos 7904 in single core geekbench score. No idea if the cameras etc will make up for it.
It makes sense if you buy it for your mom, or dad, or grandma who only use whatsapp and youtube and facebook and contacts and phone..
Another OUT OF STOCK in India.
As we can probably see in India, Redmi Note 7 & Note 7 Pro goes on sale for just 2 minutes. Either Redmi has to increase the manufacturing of device or should be doing sale only once in a month. People have to wait for a very long time to get their device in cart and then it goes out of stock in seconds.
Is this on sale anywhere?
Is this a different from from the Redmi Note 7.
PS
I just checked and that one has a better processor – SD 660. So apart from the lower processor, not much difference then? 🤷🏾♂️
I know 🙁 I might have to start looking at other brands when my A2 Lite dies.
But if you live on east europe you can buy in any european website
i’ve been buying my phones and to friends in a Spain and Portugal website
In europe we have 2 years of guaranteed warranty
And no… DO not buy mobiles outside of Europe, too long wait and if you need to change a screen or repair it will take more than 30 days
Do you suggest any sites that ship to Maceodnia?
Gorilla Glass 5 on this budget is 🔥
Gsmarena says it is
I mean redmi lineup had 4000mAh batteries and slim bodies. But yeah, maybe the market demand is for larger phones, especially in countries where mobile is the primary form of media consumption.
All brands are making larger phones. Nothing for us.
okay, new budget king to replace my Mi 5.
Finally.
If I remember well the redmi 4 line had 4000 batteries but were thicker and the 5 and 6 had smaller batteries 3000 or so.. But it’s most likely that people like bigger displays…
Display is 720p+..
Not yet, just launched in China.
You can be sure that they are selling as many as they can make…
It’s a reseller. PC Practik if I remember correctly. So basically Alti (win-win, Emmi).
Prices are doubled for some products.
And that’s why i don’t order.
What’s the point of ordering ig I’m going to pay double
Full HD screen, type c, better SoC, better cameras, better performance, better battery life, and so on, etc, etc,
The screen probably looks bad, the only problem with this phone is the screen resolution.
Yes. But they probably don’t scale the production as much as brands like samsung and apple. Doing that would be inefficient as they will release a new one in a few month anyeay
and lack of 4g in 2019 -.-
Hey, everything’s better than Canada and their Isp
I’ve no idea if they ship there or not
I’ve used this [http://www.smartandsun.com/](http://www.smartandsun.com/) and [https://www.pcdiga.com/](https://www.pcdiga.com/)
if I am not wrong both have xiaomi phones and they use the EU rules
A2 for the beefier processor
The Mi 9 SE is basically the same size ([it’s actually a bit smaller](https://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone1=9583&idPhone2=9247&idPhone3=8263#)), but all the other features (including the price) are obviously different.
Come on man. Read the article. They have 3 and 4 GB ram options as well.
Would a Mi 5 still be way better than this phone?
LOL. You are too nice for sales. The world doesn’t deserve you. 🙂
A lot of OEMS are finally starting to release “mini” versions of their phones. (Still, most are still about the size of the Redmi 4 Prime.) I wonder if it’s about time for Xiaomi to follow suit and start copying them. I hope I’m right.
Yaaay! No Mediatek SoC this time around. Wonder what were they thinking when they launched the Redmi 6.
I can’t wait for the call from grandma complaining that it takes really long to switch between whatsthat and the youtubes…
Yeah, but then it isn’t $104 anymore…
Why even sell a 2GB device? People are practically going to have to run that in “Android Go” mode. (And I say this as someone who still uses a 2GB device as my daily driver.)
Think he meant redmi s2
Snapdragon 632 with a antutu of 100k is not exactly a weak cpu. It’s outperformed 625 and 650 , at the price u can’t complain much
FHD display, typc C connector , better camera , glass back(not a pro for me but it’s a pro for other people )
Sure, I read it. I just think the 2GB option is awful. And we know better, but some consumer may think it’s a good deal when it’s really kind of poor, since an extra GB of RAM makes a world of difference.
625 is old, and it doesn’t outperform 650 (which is also getting old) in single core performance which is the metric that matters more in real world performance.
I never said 625 outperformed 650, I only said 632 outperformed both 625 and 650. Sorry for the confusion. 🙂
Thank you.
I have a Poco F1 but I still want the Redmi Note 7. 🙁
GF won’t let me.
Exactly! I really want a phone with same size as Redmi 4X. I was so happy when I found this Xiaomi’s phone back then and I love it ever since. Excellent specs, just great size and durable. Carefully looking for a replacement now, was super excited about Redmi 7 and then BAM! It’s in a size of a tennis court :-/
I didn’t misunderstand you and the 632 doesn’t outperform the 650 where it counts. You can’t just simply compare Antutu scores.
