Many thanks.
On AliExpress they call it “Xiaomi AI Touch Screen Bluetooth 5.0 Speaker”, but I’m sure it’s a different name in Chinese.
What is this product name?
That way they know u cool.
Thanks. I guess the one takeaway from your experience and this latest device is that they are meant for China essentially, so we early adopters are always taking risks as to how well these devices will work – even for me in Taiwan it’s not guaranteed something will work, despite China claiming Taiwan as its own territory! But that’s another subject…
Unfortunately I thought so with the clock I bought – but it wouldn’t change – even if I changed the region settings in the Mi Home app 🙂
Ah, gotcha. I like the looks of it – I’ll probably pick one up next time I’m in Shenzhen. Thanks for the video!!
It does have a clock too. I live in Taiwan, so I’m in the same zone as Beijing, but I would guess that it takes its time settings from the WiFi network it’s connected to. So I imagine it will adjust to the correct time zone.
Really cool
That’s why we use a Google Home mini to verbally tell which lights to turn on and what brightness level plus all of the lamps are plugs into electrical outlets that are controlled by light switches on the wall if we require something faster or more tactile.
Looks great! Does it have a clock and if so can you change the time zone? (I have this clock [https://www.mi.com/mi-smartalarm/](https://www.mi.com/mi-smartalarm/) and can’t change the time zone from Beijing…)
Great now the chinese government will know when I’m using my fan
Essentially yes, but there’s the screen and the access to your mi home devices, or at least most of them.
That sounds cool, is it Xiao AI speaker?
It’s basically a smart assistant with speaker/screen. It was originally in the list of devices when you want to add something to Mi Home, but mysteriously it disappeared. However it will still appear in the Mi Home after initial setup in a separate dedicated app. The main reason I got it was for the ability to control stuff in the Mi Home app without getting my phone out. It can stream from Mi cameras too.
What is this? I dont see it on the Mi Home Store app?
I need some physical device with buttons and knobs to adjust the wifi led lights, I thought it would be handy controlling it all from my phone but its just a mess when you have ppl over/ always have to find the phone when you want to change + it takes quite some time vs just adjusting some knobs
4u
I paid UK£40 or US$50 for mine.
Can you give a conversion or estimate price you payd for it?
Im sorry for my English 😉
I’ve only got an iPhone so I’m only guessing, but it’s running some kind of Android offshoot i guess. It doesn’t get exposed to Google or Amazon from my tests, but that’s no surprise considering these services aren’t allowed in China. Still trying to work some stuff out with it too – only just
Discovered where the Bluetooth option is after 7 hours. Even though my wife speaks Chinese, even she had a bit of trouble working out how to speak to it.
Thanks bro. I hope they bring that to europe.
Does it have integration with Google home? Does it run a modded version of android or other OS?
It came out in China on Monday but sold out almost immediately. I don’t know if they have plans to release one elsewhere, but I hope so.
Do you have realesed date on that?
Oh okay lmao
That’s just my name for the Mi door sensor.
That’s the open/close sensor
There’s Mi Door?
