Mi Mix 2S is not available in my country officially, so the only Xiaomi’s flagship here is the Poco, not the Mix 2S or the Mi 8

Wouldn’t every app need to implement some ui change to support notchs?
Does it happen just with poco, or the other notch phones like Mi 8 and Mi A2 Lite have that issue too?
Go to settings-> additional settings->accessibility->display
Then changes size from current to small then back to default and exit settings.

in theory the OS could handle that by restricting how much of the screen the app can access, i.e. report a slightly lower vertical resolution to account for the part of the screen the notch interrupts

Notch is idiotic. Iphone has this issue too. Many apps and games need to account for this stupid design.
It’s not available in the US, but I imported it. Even had to wait out updates for it to work with my carrier because I can live unhappily without a headphone jack, but I’ll never own a phone with a notch.
Have you tried turning it off and on again?
